I'm so unbelievably excited to share this edit with you for my favourite vintage hangout Beyond Retro. TSOP have done a few guest posts for their blog over the last year so felt it would be fun to do a Christmas Party edit featuring an overload of sequins and sparkle - perfect for Christmas!

I was lucky enough to work with the amazing Holly McGlynn again, who brought my dreams to reality shooting this 4 part lookbook. We wanted to capture the fun and festivity of Christmas and what better way to do that than at the famous Winter Wonderland. I ate candyfloss, drank mulled wine, cuddled teddy bears and went on the carosel- we had an all round fun day of shooting! I think the lookbook captures the essence of how to wear vintage at Christmas and the Beyond Retro identity. Make sure you head to Beyond Retro online or Instore to get your sequin fix!

Part 2 of my Beyond Retro Christmas Party Lookbook is all around one of my favourite vintage essentials the 'trophy sequin top'  The oversized shape and the amount of detail and beading make it a perfect Christmas piece to have in your wardrobe!

For this look I wore it with a black lace skirt and wore my feather cape over the top to create drama- they are great for the party season! This look didn't need accessorising as it's super glitzy so I teamed it with a clean patent black heeled boots which I always much prefer to a heel as it means I can dance the night away!

What trophy vintage piece do you rely on for the Christmas season?

Birds Of A Feather - Naomi

Primark Velvet Dress, Topshop Feather Cape, c/o Sister Jane Textured Cardigan, Topshop Argo Boots, H&M Earrings, c/o Boohoo Clutch Bag, Beaded Top c/o Frock On Vintage

You always know Christmas is coming when the velvet and glitz takes over the high street and this year is no exception. Embellishment, feathers and layers of texture take center stage for this years Christmas parties and events. The one time of year it's perfectly acceptable to go totally OTT and look like a human glitterball and look so right! So I say go with it, embrace the festive style and turn heads with your AW looks!

Pajama shapes and draping rather than bodycon looks so much more sophisticated and will mean you won't feel uncomfortable eating one to many mince pies! It's also bang on trend so go for a silky jumpsuit with a feather cape or a silky jacket with matching trousers and an embellished cami looks grown up yet perfect for an event. Show of through your accessories: a statement gold clutch, a big gem necklace or a feather cape. These statement pieces over simple silky product will balance the look perfectly.

For this look I wore midi dress from Primark which are so great for this time of year, great for layering and easy to throw on and feel Christmassy with the key velvet texture. I layered it with this gorgeous textured cardi from Sister Janes new collection, it makes such a statement and looks great over everything. I threw on this amazing beaded top which is from my favourite vintage store Frock On Vintage, i love how the beading hangs over the velvet. Of course being queen of layers this just wasn't enough so I threw on my trusty feather cape. Capes are great to add that extra WOW factor to your Christmas looks and can jazz up even the simplest of outfits! I went for a statement black boot which always toughens up a going out look and a black clutch with simple studding. The dangly gold earrings were just enough sparkle with this statement earring.

How are you getting in the mood for the festive season, what's your key Christmas piece?

Naomi's Week In Style

A very delayed week in style post from me! We have been so busy with the Blog Awards and life that I just haven't had chance but this ones a good one so I'm glad to bring you what's hot on my want list!

1. Zara Lace Dress

A beautiful piece from Zara that's both perfect for the weather with the fine knit but still sexy being sheer and with the lace. Would look great teamed under a statement coat for AW.

2. Topshop Feather Cape

I love statement pieces especially for the party season and this is stunning! I have featured the black one in a previous week in style post but fell in love with this cream one which is new in! I think it would look great over a black dress for a Christmas work party or even layered over a chunky knit and leather jacket for day wear drama.

3. Zara Checked Cape

Zara are on fire at the moment and this checked cape is perfect to fight the cold this season! Throw on over any outfit with a killer boot to look super chic in the colder months.

4. ASOS Pussybow Shirt

I have worn my white shirt to death and fancy a change but still have the smart premium feel so I feel like this Pussybow shirt from ASOS is the answer! It's still a crisp white shirt but has an edge with the oversized bow a definite good upgrade to a standard white shirt which I'm sure you guys are sick of seeing in my posts!

5. Sparkle And Fade Pink Coat

Pink coats are every girls must have for this season and its all about finding the right one for you! There is a huge variety on the high street but I think this ones the right one for me. I love the oversized shape with the black button detailing. A stunning addition to any girls wardrobe.

6. ASOS Fluffy Bag

I have wanted one of these since River Island brought them out a few years ago and now there back but this time from ASOS! This gorgeous colour is neutral so will go with a lot of outfits and add a touch of fun and drama to your AW ensembles.

7. ASOS Oversized Tutu Skirt

This skirt also comes in black but I loved the deep red colour! How amazing is this! I could definitely see it rocked with a cropped fluffy jumper and a killer pair of cut out boots for that sex and the city vibe knockout outfit.

8. Zara Patent Coat

My love for anything patent or PVC this season is still going strong so why not add a jacket to my collection! At this rate I could be head to toe by Christmas! This is a fantastic piece and would look great teamed with a black jumper, crisp white shirt and tartan tailored trouser. A great jacket to look on trend and stand out from the crowd!

9. Topshop White Argo Boots

I just need these in every single colour and style basically! I already have the black patent and featured the holographic ones in a past week in style and now im after these beauties! I love the white Jeffrey Campbell Coltranes and for me these are the next best thing only cheaper! I love the chunky style and thick heel as they are perfect for day or nightwear and super comfy! Better start saving for these!

Punk's Not Dead - Naomi

Primark Checked Dress C/O Frankie, Topshop Premium Feather Cape, DIY Studded Short, Topshop Corset Belt, Topshop Wooden Heel Boots

After the recent Met Ball the fashion world has gone crazy for 'Punk'! With the mixed reactions of some of the outfit choices and designers bringing out their own punk collections in honour, who would of thought it would of caused so much controversy! To us it looked like ALOT of fun and a chance to be experimental- which we are all for at TSOP!

As usual we decided to take our own spin on things and take punk into our own hands! We have got a feeling it's not the last time we will be sporting fishnets, checks and studs this season (or at least we hope not!)

We had so much fun with this look in our own version of the Met Ball! After all that is what our blog is about us having fun with new trends and ideas, we hope you can be inspired by this look even if it's just by the more wearable pieces checks and studding.

For this look I went for a dressed up punk look- rocking Frankie's Primark checked dress which was perfect! Layering it with my DIY studded collar shirt and my peacock feather cape which I just love! I wore a killer pair of black high boots and a corset belt to finish it off. Making sure I got my favourite elements of punk into my look; checks, crisp white shirt, feathers and leather!

I wonder what the theme will be next year? I'm hoping for 20's after the recent Gatsby craze! We are also hoping there's an invite for TSOP in the post ;-)
