Back To Black - Amy

Primark PU Biker, Topshop Paisley Lace Roll Neck Crop Top, Topshop Floral  Peter Pan Collar Dress, Topshop Lace Trim Cycling Shorts, Topshop Amelie Boot

So this summer is meant to be all about lace! crops, dress, skater skirts, inserts - you name it, it's got a lace version, but it's summer so surely it's all about the pastels, whites and creams? Well when the weather decides it's not the winter anymore, I will start dressing like it, so until then, let's play with black.

This lace crop was one of my best purchases of AW and I cannot wait to wear it without anything underneath it in the warmer weather! The paisley lace design is definitely more suited to me than your traditional lace yet still feels girly. Because the lace isn't a floral, I decided to throw it over a summery patterned dress. The crop really compliments the smock shape as it gives me a bit more of a figure than it would usually do and I toughened the look up with a biker and studded boots.

The thing I most love about this outfit is that it's on trend without being too seasonal - you can literally tailor this outfit to every weather which in this country, is probably the most practical fashion statement you can have!

New Kids On The Block - Amy

Vintage Red Leather Bomber via Rokit, Ashish for Topshop T-shirt, Topshop Sheer Leopard Print Dress, Urban Outfitters Daisy Beanie, Primark Clutch, Topshop Aubrey Boots

The high street has been bombarded recently with product heavily influenced by one woman, and that one woman is Rita Ora. Shops and shoppers alike cannot seem to get enough of her and her style and is probably one of the most popularised 'looks' around this Spring (please bare in mind, I live in Stratford) With so many people taking an interest in this 'Urban Street-wear' trend it would be rude not to see what all the fuss is about and show you how you can achieve the basis of this trend without feeling the need to go out in a bralet, leggings and air max which is most definitely not for me either.

When it comes to sporty, slogan tees (key for this look), I can't help but automatically think of Ashish. This tee is one from one many of his Topshop collaborations. The grey boxy shape compliments the girly sheer dress perfectly for me, even if bodycon shapes are preferred. The bomber is also key - this over sized red offering is from Rokit a long time ago, but never fails when I need a more casual statement piece. I finished the look off with a playful beanie to stick with the trend, and a clutch to not (bumbags, leather rucksacks etc) but feel the outfit has the right vibe without wavering too far from my own personal style :)

New Kids On The Block - Naomi

Topshop Neon Beanie, H&M Gold Chain, Boohoo Boutique Monochrome Jacket, Primark Varsity Top, Boutique Black Clutch, Topshop Geometric Leggings, Choies Cut Out Boots

Lets talk Rita Ora.... Her style has influenced girls around the world and even influenced and coming trends to take the more 'urban' approach. Starting of with the season ahead which we can all take a leaf out of Rita Ora's wardrobe in the new updated sports trend. Think bodycon, varsity/slogans, aztec/graphic prints, leopard print, red leather, bomber jackets, bralets, mesh panels and of course beanies. Mix them up for a sporty urban feel!

This is one trend I will be taking inspiration from but of course staying true to myself and adapting! I went for a monochrome look with the key varsity and geometric prints making it feel sporty and the Boohoo boutique jacket made it feel more dressed up. I am like Mr T when it comes to jewellery so found no problem piling on the gold chains! I accessorised the look with a neon beanie to add a pop of colour and black premium clutch. Lastly my brand new cut out boots from Choies which are A-mazing and great value for money. With the more casual sporty trends I like to wear a mix of casual and premium pieces to make it me! How will you be influenced by Rita Ora this season?

Naomi's Week In Style

Hi Everyone! Sorry for the print overload this week (you must know me too well by now!) I'm full swing into festival season and I am heavily buying into printed and silky fabrics in washed out colours that make me feel super girly, floaty and look great layered up with fringing, flowers and boots. I hope you enjoy!

1. Topshop Festival Collection Gilet, £295

If only I had this much money! A perfect gilet for festival season especially in England! The detailing and sheepskin make this the best £295 you will ever spend. Kate Bosworth looked super stunning rocking this at Coachella- a definite must have for the season ahead!

2. Prada Floral Glasses

A-MAZING! They come in glasses aswell as sunglasses in black and tortoise shell- i'll have one of each please! I saw these in Selfridges window earlier in the week and they stopped me in my tracks. A Tdefinite showstopper pair of specs!

3. Topshop Spider Floral Silk Jumpsuit, £60

A possible for the up and coming Company Blogger Awards we are attending! This gorgeous blue print also comes in a matching kimono. The fabric and cut of it is simply gorgeous and perfect for work or to be dressed up!

4. Topshop Cream Floral Headband £14

Since I brought my first floral crown a few weeks ago, I have become slightly obsessed. This plain one is perfect for daywear. It's still oversized, but being plain makes it more simple for the day/work but still adds alot of impact and wonderfulness.

5. Topshop Tie Dye Fringe Maxi £35

How stunning are these pastel tie dye colours! I love the fringing on the bottom aswell so festival chic- also great for layering up with a jumper over the top and parka jacket. Oh don't forget the floral crown, big chunky boots and lot's of boho jewellery! Perfect!

6. Topshop Pink Sunset Kimono £36

Missoni inspired, this kimono is a cut of the price yet you can still look on trend and fabulous! Perfect to throw over your bikini or worn with shorts and cami. Accessorise this up to make it really amazing. Clinch it in at the waist with a belt, layer lots of jewellery, or wear a bag across your body with wedges and a floppy hat. Whatever you choose to team it with you will do it in style with this stunning piece!

7-9 ASOS Africa Collection - Co-ord 60, Dress £50, Jacket £45

African prints are one of my weaknesses and this new collection from ASOS certainly makes me weak at the knees! First of all the stunning black and white kenga print co-ord- throw on a denim jacket, kimono, boots and sunnies and be good to go. Secondly the print on the Dress and jacket are stunning and the shapes look like they would fit amazingly. All good value for money and perfect additions to any girls wardrobe for SS13. Now all we need is some sun so we can rock them! What's your favourite piece from the ASOS Africa collection? I would love to know!

Way to Wear: Dungarees - Amy

Topshop Love Hearts Crop Tee, Topshop Stripe Dungarees, Primark Socks, Topshop Aubrey Boots

My absolute most favourite thing to wear in the summer is dungarees! My collection seems to be growing at a steady pace, however, the same pairs come out every year and always manage to wangle themselves into my Autumn/Winter wardrobe too so I am seeing them all as investments.. :)

There is just something about dungarees that makes them so wearable. They are comfortable for one, far more 'decent' than dresses when it comes to summer days in the park (no Marilyn moments!), practical for jobs like mine where I have to carry multiple notes/keys/tools (ha!) and easy to wear, whether its a shirt, crop top, thin knit or even a bikini top on the beach -it all works. If denim dungarees remind you a little too much of your childhood wardrobe, there are loads of tailored versions out there in loads of colours, patterns and lengths so you can find your perfect pair!

I fell in love with this particular pair last summer and fell in love with them even more when my mum told me she had an identical pair when she was younger! With dungarees being as playful a garment as they are, it makes sense to have fun with the outfit so my Love Hearts t-shirt seemed like the perfect match - I am aware I look like an old fashioned bag of sweets and I love it :)

I matched the socks with the colours from the tee, and attempted to add a slightly more grown up element with a heeled boot rather than a flat. I have my eye on some barely-there, white heeled sandals that I think would look amazing with the ankle sock to finish this outfit off! But think the boots make it a very me outfit.

How are you going to wear your dungarees this summer? cos my answer to that is every way possible!

Way to Wear: Dungarees - Naomi

Beyond Retro Vintage Dungarees, Topshop Freedom Circle Earrings, Vintage Sunglasses, Urban Outfitters Bumbag, Studded Creepers

Since buying these vintage dungarees from Beyond Retro at the start of the year I have realised I was definitely missing out! They are great for all weather and occasions and can be layered in so many different ways. It's always Alexa Chung that inspires me with dungarees- wearing them simple yet so chic.

They are great for work, great for the summer and great for the festival season ahead. There are some things that should just be brought vintage and dungarees are one of them! Stay clear of clean, rolled up hems and cheap denim ones and go for a vintage , worn, frayed and oversized which will look so much cooler and more than likely even cheaper than ones on the High street. Mine were £22!

The tshirt stole from my boyfriend expressed my mood perfectly this week- casual cool. It fits in with my grungy dungarees and casual look. I teamed It with my studded bumbag and circle earrings to make it me and add some interest.

How do you wear your dungarees?
Team them with a vintage shirt, crop top, bikini on holiday or jumper- the possibilities are endless! Share with me your best dungaree looks...

Twice As Nice - Naomi

Topshop Crayon Co-ord Top & Skirt, Topshop Floral Headband, Primark Yellow Wedges

We try and avoid shooting the same kind of look twice but Amy and myself have go on co ord crazy and with the wonderfulness that we have brought we definitely need to share them with you!

As discussed in last weeks post 'Two Can Play That Game' co-ords are like a modern suit. For me it's all about the printed ones for summer in matching: top and skirt, blazer and short, top and short. There are endless options on the high street. There are so many amazing printed ones in Aztecs, tribal, safari and oriental prints and they are great even if you do choose not to wear them together just add them into your own wardrobe to smarten it up.

I feel the most confident I have felt in ages in my new floral co-ord and anything that brings confidence is definitely the right decision. The light print is in a gorgeous green blue and white feeling summery and light, the fabric is really soft which makes the skirt float nice when I walk, the longer length in the skirt makes it practical for work but also for going out with the two splits in the front... (Cheeky!) I have seen this on a few people and it looks amazing on everyone! With only showing a tiny bit of midriff you won't feel over exposed yet still showing off the co-ord look. If you don't like showing of your arms go for a light soft blazer or kimono shape to cover up.

I didn't want to over accessorise the look but I felt the floral headband picked out the colours in the print so well and added something spectacular. Shoes I went for a bright wedge which adds a pop of colour and look great with the skirt. I'm feeling super summery after this post,  what have you been buying for summer?
