Pushing Daisies - Naomi

Topshop Floral Crochet Dress, Nasty Gal Daisy Denim Jacket, Topshop Daisy Necklace, Primark Black Clutch, Topshop Frilly Socks, Topshop Wedge Sandals

Daisies was an obvious post for us as its something we have both newly introduced into our wardrobes. Daisy prints are bigger than ever in bold statement prints like my jacket or in a more subtle way in Amy's burnout tee. We love it on everything and it's so right for the summer and feeling super feminine. I like the mix of daisy prints with textures like lace but then adding denim or leather to toughen the look up. Go for that contrast with this look-  add a frilly sock with a black boot for that girly with an edge feel. My favourite daisy prints are the vintage inspired black with white daisies, urban outfitters stock loads of this in cute dresses which look amazing with big chunky black boots and a denim jacket!

I wore my Topshop crochet floral dress which I fall in love with every year. The detailing of the floral crochet looks so beautiful on and I haven't seen one like it since buying
It. I wanted to show off the sleeves so wore my Nasty Gal daisy denim jacket which you have seen as a co ord in a previous post but the sleeves zip off allowing me to wear it as a gilet perfect for summer and not to ruin the look. I accessorised it with one of my new favourite necklaces my daisy chain and a black clutch. Don't forget the little details like the frilly yellow sock poking out of a chunky sandal. I didn't want to make the look too girly so added the tougher pieces like the black clutch, black shoes and black denim gilet. I also went for a statement lip colour- which I have not stopped wearing since I brought it! I love a deep purple lipstick and find it is a bit different than your standard pink and red and looks great with dark hair!

What are your thoughts on the daisy hype this summer... Will you be pushing daisies like TSOP?

Pushing Daisies - Amy

Primark Pu Biker Jacket, Topshop Burnout Daisy Tee, Marks & Spencer's Spotty Blouse via Mama's Wardrobe!, Topshop Boutique Silk Shorts, Freedom at Topshop Daisy Necklace, Topshop Yellow Frill Ankle Sock, Topshop Aubrey Boot

One of my favourite trends of this summer (and quite a few previously) has been the daisy craze. There is something about this cute little flower that fashion followers just can't get enough of in the warmer weather and we're no exception. The best thing is, you know it'll come back around again next Spring Summer, so buying into this trend will always be an investment rather than a fad, which is most definitely my go-to reason when I'm deciding if I really need new items or not!

The main piece in this outfit is the tee - 3 trends rolled up into one with pure white, burnout effect and daisy's being huge this SS. I bought this tee in an M/L as I wanted to wear it really oversized for this outfit but am looking forward to throwing it over dresses and shirts, tucking it into cute skirts or even using it as a cover up if it is ever warm enough for a bikini.

I also wanted to use the most of the see through-ness of the burnout effect so wanted a patterned (but not too mad) blouse to go underneath so you got a hint of the pattern underneath and a cute collar to go with the tee. Where the top half has got a lot going on, I wanted to keep the bottom half pretty simple to opted for my boutique silk shorts for texture.

To really tie in the daisy theme, this necklace was perfect! and the yellow frill ankle socks give that extra  hit of yellow and look cute and girly, but not too cute and girly with a heavy boot and a biker.

Are you a fan of any daisy items? When the high street is offering summer dresses, motif tees, socks and daisy sunglasses! I'm sure there's something for everyone to love and create that cute feminine feeling to those summery outfits :)

Feather Hearts - Naomi

Look 1
c/o Feather Hearts Prowlin Vest, Topshop Tile Print Trouser, Topshop Reflect Sandal, EBay Transparent Clutch, Vintage Silver Belt, Topshop Premium Leather Studded Jacket

Look 2
c/o Feather Hearts Prowlin Vest, Vintage Denim Shorts, Topshop Black Boots, H&M Mesh Top, H&M Black Fringe Waistcoat, New Look Turquoise Necklace, Vintage Sunglasses , Primark Leopard Floppy Hat

We recently found Feather Hearts on Instagram and loved their brave and different slogans they use on their tees! Tees rock slogans including 'Bad News Babes, Prowlin, See You In Hell and Misfit. They are stocked by one of our favourite stores Urban Outfitters and have become a hit with bloggers and fashionistas alike. We couldn't wait to jump  at the chance to style these up so decided to do 2 looks with our tees one smarter and one more casual to show how easy it is to wear them! We even loved them so much that we both wore them out for dinner after!

Nothing is more us than a cool tee that we can make our own and as you can see by our shots our true personality  and style come through in our looks!  I styled the Prowlin Black Vest which you can buy online at Urban Outfitters.
I love the shape of it with the deep cut under arms and oversized style and it looked great with everything I tried on.

For my first smarter look I wore it with my Topshop black and white tile print trousers, which I have been wanting to shoot for ages but was waiting for the right outfit! I found it looked perfect with the Prowlin Tee, Premium leather jacket and high black sandals. I accessorised it with Black Sunglasses, Transparent clutch and my vintage silver belt. Clean yet interesting!

For my 2nd more casual look I sported a more boho feel and wore it with my vintage denim shorts, layered with a mesh top underneath and fringe waistcoat. Accessorised with a tan belt, turquoise necklace, oversized floppy hat and my favourite sunnies!

I could not be more pleased with both Amy's and my looks! When we get a style challenge its exciting and fun and we hope you enjoy the outcome!

Naomi's Week In Style

I haven't wrote a week in style in a long time....well over a week!! I don't know whether the lack in exciting product or the lack in funds has played part in this, but my wantlist is well underway for my  holiday next week which is my favourite thing to buy for!

I am going away to Barcelona for a week to do the Off Sonar parties and of course the outfit planning takes a lot of preparation. I will be doing a week in Barcelona diary where I will share with you my week of outfits and hopefully a good tan :-)

Here are some summer essentials that I can't wait to get in my wardrobe!

1. Topshop Daisy Plastic Mac

Transparent and daisies could you possibly get more on trend for the season? This mac is super cute and perfect for the festival season! Wear with denim shorts, black boots and rucksack for a ready to go festival look that's cool and practical.

2. Topshop Banana Print Denim Jacket & Skirt Co-ord

Mental but amazing! This is a must for my summer wardrobe and so on trend with the 50s inspired Palm trends that are so big right now! Would look great worn together but can also see the skirt rocked with a bikini, hat and denim gilet on holiday! Go bananas this summer and do invest!

3. ASOS Crochet Top

Perfect addition for the summer season and can be worn for a festival look with denim short and Parka or with a maxi skirt and layered jewellery. I'm a big fan or crochet and the wonderful girly texture which always looks great in summer.

4. Ebay Diamond Sunglasses

I have seen these in various magazines recently and been looking out for a cheaper pair! As always EBay saves the day and I found these for around £7! Since starting the blog my sunglasses collection has hit and all time high and I am constantly looking out for a cool new styles! Perfect for making a statement this summer!

5. Topshop Premium Silver Chunky Ribbon Chain

I love this necklace- it's oversized and over the top design make a clean statement on any outfit. It adds drama yet it still feels clean and on trend. I love big statement necklaces and think this would fit into my wardrobe perfectly.

6. ASOS Orange Embroidered Backpack

Perfect for summer festivals and holidays being practical and cool. I love the bright orange colour, fringing and design on- it makes it feel very bohemian and festival chic. Backpacks are always a great buy and always are money well spent.

7. ASOS Marketplace Ethnic Elephant Wrap Skirt

Since Coachella I have been heavily inspired by the style worn at this years festival. I saw a girl in a black dress which is nearly exactly the same print as the skirt I have brought, so you can imagine my excitement when I came across this on ASOS marketplace for £15! I can't wait to wear it at Bestival with my little crochet top, boots and a parka! A great find in my eyes!

8. Vintage Tan Festival Bag

I love cute little vintage bags for summer and came across this one on eBay for £10 it will look great with summer boho outfits and perfect to hold my summer essentials!

9. Topshop White Aladin Gladiator Boots

I love these sandals as they are half way between a boot and a sandal. I have never been a fan of summer shoes so these are a perfect alternative for me! They will look great for holiday and also great for festivals!

Californication - Naomi

Topshop Jamaica Sun Dress, Topshop Freedom Statement Floral Necklace, Primark Green Hair Scarf, H&M Glitter Sunglasses, Vintage Denim Jacket, Topshop Socks, Primark Yellow Wedges

I brought this dress last year for holiday and I have been finding any excuse to get it out my wardrobe! There was no better excuse than the newly updated 50s trends flying around the high street and of course a bit of sunshine which is a rare occasion.

For the ultimate 50s look this summer rock palm, tropical and motel prints, denim, hair scarfs, sunglasses and anything kitsch and bright! The trend is young and playful so don't be scared to explore your inner child and sport the younger prints and brighter colours! This look is great for the hotter english weather but most of all it's perfect for summer holidays when you want to make bolder choices with your outfits.

Buy into the trend in a more simple way with a palm print item and wear it with light denim and tailored blazer for a more toned down and grown up look. Or wear it young with a palm print bikini, bright shirt and denim shorts for a great beach look!

I wore it here with my Topshop Jamaica print sundress which I always love teaming with a hair scarf, sunnies and denim for a 50s inspired look. I accessorised it loud with my bright floral necklace, bright orange socks and yellow wedges. This look is young, playful and I would feel super confident rocking this on holiday!

What trends are you going to wear on your holidays this year?

Californication - Amy

Topshop Purple and Pink Dip Dye Denim Shirt, Primark Car Print Denim Dress, Topshop Head Scarf, H&M Sunglasses, Freedom at Topshop Necklace, Vintage Bag via Notting Hill Market, White Converse

The sun is finally starting to show itself so it's time to get those all important summer outfits out before it goes away again! One of the biggest trends on the high street at the moment is Palm Springs, 50's inspired holiday wear. Think high waisted bikini bottoms, tied up denim shirts over crops, espadrille wedges and cats eye glasses for the perfect chic summer look.

This dress is the perfect shape for this look. The corset shape on the top and bodycon bottom, pastel colours and 50's car print (similar to the Prada SS12 Campaign) really shows that the trend is all about. The dress is one that can easily be dressed up and dressed down, but when I think California sun, I think day out at the beach so wanted to go for a more casual look.

I also wanted to keep the look girly so decided to stick with girly colours - pink and purple tones. I threw the dip dye denim shirt over the dress as the colours worked perfectly and the shirt was a lighter option than my traditional leather/denim jacket. I again went ultra girly with a headscarf, big pink sunglasses and floral necklace. I would probably wear some form of white wedge shoe if I wore this outfit again but converse are always stylish, practical and comfortable and very american looking.

To give this look a bit of an edge, try and get small pops of acid brights in with accessories, hosiery or make-up. What style will you be wearing now we can finally play summer wardrobes?!

Company Style Blogger Awards 2013

Amy - Primark PU Biker, Topshop Polkda Dot AWESOME Sweatshirt, Topshop Geometric Burn Out Shirt, Topshop Gold Geometric Jacquard Skirt, Primark Black Clutch, Topshop Anchor Boots

Naomi - Topshop Polkda Dot Crop Top, H&M Gold Chain, Topshop Sleeveless Blazer, White Shirt via Charity Shop, H&M Leather Skater Skirt, Ebay Transparent Clutch, Topshop Aggro Boots

On Wednesday, the pair of us were honoured to be attending the Company Style Blogger Awards 2013 at the Truman Brewery just off Brick Lane! With Champagne reception, photobooth, customise your own sunglasses and a room full of other wonderfully dressed people it was a little blogging haven!

Although we didn't win any awards, we felt so incredibly lucky to just have the chance to be there and rub shoulders with bloggers that have been going a lot longer and are a lot more established than we are so would like to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you for reading, supporting and voting for TSOP, we can't explain how much it means to us.

As for our outfits - we wanted to stay true to our own personal styles, but of course we also wanted to match! It seems monochrome with a little something else is becoming our signature style for attending events together! and tonight's little something else was gold, inspired by Amy's sweatshirt that she has been obsessing over since it was on the Topshop imagery back in January and has finally come into stores. We wanted to look smart and chic so went for collars and skirts rather than dresses, leather for a bit of an edge and polka dots for fun :) sums us up perfectly!

What would you wear to a style bloggers award ceremony? with so many blogging beauties in one place the pressure is insane to get those all important outfits right!
