It is no secret that I love a tonal outfit - I prefer mish-mashing textures, rather than colours, patterns or prints  and tonal dressing is the best way for these to stand out against one another. Having taken on a few colours in the last couple of months, it was definitely time for a go at navy. With autumn well and truly underway, it's easy to chuck those knits and furs together (like we have been doing!) but with the indian summer we seem to have been experiencing, I wanted sleeker textures for this look and the darker colour palette being the AW hint.

Saying that, I kicked off the outfit with my favourite texture of Autumn/Winter, Embellishment. This boxy-shaped, scuba top from H&M is the ultimate in transitional pieces and a nice and easy piece to layer up and down. I, of course, chose a shirt. Another transitional fave has been this amazing navy pleather skirt, again working with tights and without I know it'll continue to be a wardrobe staple.

Are you a tonal dresser? What's your favourite colour palette to play with?

Every now and then it's nice to get a little tonal with your dressing, I find it especially pleasing when AW comes around and you can pull of tonal looks with colour and texture for a fashion masterpiece!

I have been thinking of endless ways to style the sequin maxi from Urban Outfitters (how amazing is it!?) and figured that it's the perfect piece for a head to toe grey look. I love the mix of sequins with AW fabrics like wool and knitwear and think it all worked together nicely for a striking yet slick look with the interest being around the skirt. I accessorised the look with grey boots and a holographic clutch to stay in line with the tonal grey theme.

What colour are you taking tonal this season?

Topshop Duster Coat, Topshop Floral Dress, Vintage Paisley Shirt via Beyond Retro, La Moda Sunglasses, Asos Fur Clutch, Topshop Glitter Socks, Heels c/o Public Desire

It is no secret that our favourite show from London Fashion Week was the flower power extravaganza from House Of Holland and there was no way we were waiting til next Spring to give the trend a whirl. To be honest, it was lovely to break up the heavy coats and faux furs with something a little more suited to this dragged out summer and get the last of the brights in before everything comes a bit bleak.

I love buying new clothes, but there is no joy like realising that holding on to 'that' item has actually paid off and it once again becomes part of the A list in your wardrobe. This dress was bought during my first ever Toppers job and despite having hundreds of dresses like this, it's always been one I couldn't let go of. The cartoon-esque florals are like nothing I've really seen again making it a fabulously fun summer staple. Naomi kindly found me the most perfect shirt everrr to go underneath it - it's like the colours were made for each other in this combo? and the paisley is another heavy influence from HOH.

With such a heavy pattern clash, I wanted to finish off with block colour pieces that still worked with the main colours in the dress. The duster and fur texture from the clutch add the right amount of Autumnal flavour to the outfit making it really wearable now and in the earlyish days of next Spring.

How are you incorporating your LFW SS15 faves into your wardrobe now? We would love to see!

As fashion weeks draw to a close we reflect on the shows we loved and the looks we need. A definite influence for me was the House Of Holland SS15 show with full on flower power and 60s vibe which I just absolutely loved! Luckily I got to see the show at LFW this year and it just completely blew me away! Working in vintage I knew it was a look I could easily recreate in a AW spin on my favourite collection.

60s prints are so bright and playful and I couldn't resist clashing patterns with this amazing maxi dress and gorgeous 60s coat both from Beyond Retro. I love how the prints work together so well in such a fun way. I went for black rings and black patent boots from Deichmann which are super comfy and look great for AW with any look. The little suede bag finished of the look with a 60s feel. This look shows you can recreate elements of the catwalk so easily in your own style, so get creative and be confident in your dressing!

What collections have you been influenced by from fashion weeks? Stay tuned for Amy's take on the HOH look tomorrow!
