A lot of women are coming here today to compete in the Best Dressed competition, held in the Liverpool ONE area of the Red Rum garden.
I've just caught up with judge Naomi Rowland, who runs fashion blog 'Two Shoes, One pair'.
She said: "I'm looking for head-to-toe styling, so I'll be picking someone who's thought about every aspect of their look. I'd like to see an influence of the Spring/Summer trends, but they need to still look really formal and chic to be in keeping with the races. I've already seen an amazing collection of hats, so it's going to be a tough job finding a winner."

I was lucky enough to be asked by Liverpool ONE & Think Publicity to be a guest judge on Ladies Day at The Grand National for 'The Best Dressed' competition. Luckily I got to judge alongside bloggers and mega babes Prince Cassius & Lydia from Fashion Influx. On Friday Prince Cassius & myself headed to Liverpool on Virgin Trains at the crack of dawn in our finest attire ready to scout the best dressed at the races!

When we got to Aintree we were shown around then started scouting the event for the best dressed ladies. I got interviewed for Liverpool Echo & Radio Merseyside and we were also featured on The Mirror, The Metro, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph and in the Liverpool Echo paper. I was pleasantly surprised by the style around Aintree and actually found it extremely easy to pick out my favourite 10. There was a fabulous array of gorgeous dresses and unusual hats! Our top 30 then took to the stage for a catwalk of the best dressed and then we narrowed it down to our top 3 which then went to public vote to help us decided the winner. The winner was stunning Becky Nightingale who wore pastels so well in a pretty pastel ensemble. She won a holiday and vouchers for Liverpool ONE & was over the moon. The main racing essentials we saw were unusual gorgeous hats and nice printed dresses, it was so nice to see everyone dressed up and I loved wearing a hat!

I had such an amazing day and the guys at Think Publicity really looked after us throughout the whole time we were there - it was such a fantastic thing to be part of and I can't thank Liverpool ONE and Think Publicity enough!

We stayed at the Novotel in central Liverpool which was amazing- gorgeous room, great location, the most comfiest beds and amazing breakfast! On the Friday evening we went for drinks in Liverpool which was really nice to talk to the guys from Think Publicity more and have some fun. On Saturday Lydia and myself headed to Aintree to place some bets and enjoy our day! We had such a fun day and I won £45 on Alvarado! It was so nice to get dressed up again and wear a big hat and I would definitely go to the races again!

Let's talk outfits... On the Friday I wore a dress by Yuvna Kim which was absolutely stunning! It had so much gorgeous detailing I never wanted to take it of! I also wore James Lakeland Blazer - we all ended up wearing cream blazers which wasn't planned! I worked my look around the 3D floral trend for SS14 so wore ASOS embellished floral clutch to match and nude heels. My hat was from Felicity Hats a local Liverpool hat shop and they did an amazing job picking me out the best hats to Match my outfits On The Saturday I wore dress from Alice + Olivia, Topshop Jacket and again my hat was from the wonderful Felicity Hats.

  1. Congratulations lovely! What an awesome thing to be involved with! I still wonder how Prince Cassius makes his hair so perfect! I also adored your chosen winner in her gorgeous floral number. Suits her to a T! You looked fabulous both days!
