Party Bag - Naomi

c/o DP Sunglasses, H&M Waistcoat
c/o ASOS Sandals

I love statement bags for summer and festivals and think they finish of the look perfectly. I am a huge fan of Accessorize and just love all the beading and embellishment. We were over the moon to be contacted by them last week to feature some of their amazing summer collection bags!

I took mine to Glastonbury and it was the perfect festival addition. I also collaborated with Free People for Glastonbury so featured a FP top and Flare Street bells for a 70s boho feel! I love all the bright colours and patterns together but styled it with a black waistcoat, hat and sandals or a toned down edge.

Whether you buy a statement bag to jazz up your simple outfit or style it with a busy look they are the perfect addition to any girls wardrobe! Head to Accessorize now to shop the collection!

Party Bag - Amy

Vintage Knitted Waistcoat, Topshop Denim Shirt Dress, Ray Ban Sunglasses, Bag c/o Accessorize, Topshop Helter Sandals

Sometimes, the simplest of outfits can comepletely come to life with just one mega accessory - whether that be a showstopping fedora, a modest red lip or a girls best friend, a handbag. With festival season well and truly here we thought we'd look to accessorize to kit us out with the ultimate festival bag and they certainly didn't disappoint!

If you can't have a little boogie at a festival then when can you? and this needs to be remembered when choosing your outfit! I went for this amazing cross body bag for that very reason as it's big enough to hold all those essentials (a million wet wipes) without being a hindrance throughout the day. The beading detail on it is stunning and I cannot resist a good pom pom!

I pulled out the blue in the bag and went for this staple denim dress and added even more embellishment with a vintage waistcoat, this being a little more subtle so it didn't distract from the bag! I finished off with my gold frames (new favourites) and this seasons's must have sandal, the lace up.

What is your ideal festival bag? Be sure to the one for you over on Accessorize now!

What's in Our Bags?

The contents of your handbag are pretty revealing aren't they? A girl's whole life is tucked up away in these seemingly magical accessories so we thought we'd share what we've got hiding in our brand new spanking Joy Handbags!

Bag space takes on a whole new meaning when you become a mother. Instead of hoarding around your own 'useful' items, you begin to hoard around your own and someone else's too. Changing bags are rarely attractive so I quickly reverted back to leather but after a year of a abuse I was very grateful to receive a new fashionable and sizable bag from Joy. So alongside nappies, change of clothes and childrens entertainment my handbag essentials are effectively a 'changing' bag itself. Flat shoes to escape the pain of heeled boots at a moments notice and then my favourite perfume and lippy to take me from mum to fun in no time at all. My asbolute handbag essential is by far a notebook though, it's always at the least convinient moment that I'll have a brainwave (blog idea/bog roll reminder) and Ivy's quite the artist too.

Our new bags from Joy London are such a great size for an every day bag working in London. I always find I need lot's of space for the extra things you never know will come in handy, they always do! I always pack the essentials such as a little bit of make up and my deodorant for working long days and always some light reading so either a magazine or my Ipad for the tube to keep entertained. Sunglasses are a must to hide tired eyes and my Fujifilm because you never know when you need to snap something beautiful. I also tend to pop to an event after work so some jewellery is always great if you need to jazz up your day outfit to evening wear. What's your handbag essential?

The Cardigans - Naomi

Topshop Suede Cardigan similar here
H&M Studio Crochet Dress
c/o PLT Tan Sandals & Fringed Bag
c/o Boohoo Hat

You have probably seen this Topshop cardigan alot recently as it has topped every fashionistas wish list! The perfect summer cover up which is both on trend and perfect for summer evenings over dresses. The good thing for us is it came in 2 colour-ways so we both put our spin on each version!

I styled up the brown and tan one with my new H&M studio crochet dress which I am head over heels for! I wanted to keep the look quite tonal so went for a beige hat, tan suede fringed sandals and my new PLT fringed bag which has been a godsend with all my 70s outfits at the moment. We had so much fun styling these cardigans up and found this amazing yellow backdrop out and about in sunny Oxford!

The Cardigans - Amy

Topshop Suede Cardigan, Zara Stripe Dress, Marc Jacobs Sunglasses, Orla Kiely Betty Sandals

Honestly, I think this is the piece of SS15. Topshop have managed to combine all the key trends into one blinkin' amazing cardigan and create it in 2 colour-ways to suit every taste. Suede, crochet and fringing are all big this season to it's no wonder that together they create a mega statement.

I have to admit I love both of the colourways, but the brighter of the two (see Naomi style the Brown tomorrow!) is something truely special. I have been popping it over everything from a white tee and jeans to patterened tunics like this striped jersey. I love pulling a colour out to match up and in this outfit I decided to go for the red, getting in a lip and in the flower on my Bettys. It genuinely puts a smile on my face every time I pop it on, I just adore it!

How would you style the crochet cardigan?

Out And About - Shoes: Pleasure And Pain

I think it's pretty obvious that we both love shoes - like, love shoes. And we think it's pretty evident from our Savage Beauty Post that we also love the V&A so you can imagine our sheer excitement when an email popped into our inbox inviting us to preview the new Shoes: Pleasure and Pain exhibition at our favourite museum!

Here's what we got to over the course of the day and more importantly, what footwear we chose for the occassion!

Amy Says: As I travelled up from Oxford for the day (toddler in tow), my first footwear choice needed to be super comfy for the car and what better than trust Converse? But going to a snazzy press preview all about fancy footwear meant my second Shoe Of The Day needed to be something a little more exciting than 'everyday'. Step in Orla blimmin' Kiely, my shoe hero of SS15 and her comfy (thanks Clarks) yet cool retro-vibe sandals. These beauts are so easy to walk in, it's no wonder they are my 3rd pair from the collection - it meant I could wander around the exhibition and even managed a walk up Brompton Road too.

Naomi Says: I was super excited to be able to go to the pre launch cocktail party which was so much fun! Accompanied by blogger Charlotte Goodayle we went and saw the amazing exhibition, took lot's of from where I stands and drank the most yummy gin cocktails! It was such a lovely launch, everyone was dressed so amazingly and the footwear was a show in itself. I wore my new Dazzle sandals from Clarks which got so many compliments on the night! I wore them with a glittery sock to match my flower power dress from ASOS. They were so comfy and a great party sandal! Thanks so much for the V&A for inviting us, definitely head down to check out the Please & Pain exhibition yourself, you can book tickets here!

You can see this amazing exhibition for yourself now until January and we seriously recommend it.. Stay tuned on our Instagram @twoshoesonepair for an exciting competition!
