Trend Inspo: Trollbeads

It's not very often that you find a piece of jewellery that can carry you through a whole season, let alone a life time and that is precisely why we love Trollbeads so much. This summer, we've picked out our favourite pieces to join us on our adventures and with just a few bead switches, we have the perfect accessory to all our most important outfits this summer!

Amy Says:
I love minimal jewellery so these simple bangles are just perfect for me and I am so in love with the new copper colourway that's just arrived. Whilst I love the simplistic monochrome bead combination, I thought I'd try these Folkore Floral Beads with my copper bangle but I love mixing them all up to make completely different combinations everyday.

Naomi Says:
I adore my Trollbeads butterfly necklace! It's simple and delicate yet the perfect statement to team up with pretty dresses throughout summer. I love the thick chain and bold butterfly pendant and it's been my go - to neckwear over the last month or so, even accompanying me to Secret Garden Party!

Black And White Unite - Naomi

c/o Motel Rocks Cold Shoulder Dress
H&M Black Waistcoat

ASOS Choker, c/o Ark Sunglasses

Usually you find me in lot's of colour and prints but I also love monochrome and playing around with textures and prints. I have been obsessed with this Motel Rocks cold shoulder dress since It come through my letter box. I love the cut out shoulder and bell sleeves, it's just such an easy wear.

For this look I teamed it with my favourite black waistcoat from H&M and monochrome accessories with a hint of grey for a little bit of interest. This proves that monochrome outfits don't have to be dull and boring, play around with prints to create eye turning ensembles!

Topshop Boucle Jacket, Scallop Dress c/o Debenhams, Ray Ban Sunglasses, Bangle c/o Trollbeads, Converse

When it comes to monochrome looks I love nothing more than playing with patterns and textures. This is so easy in the winter with knits, coats and strong white collars to layer with so it's nice to find pieces that work in the warmer months too as I need a monochrome fix atleast once a week!

This Topshop jacket is the same as the navy harrington one I have lived in ever since it arrived so it took no persuading to invest in this boucle beauty too. I love the boxy shape and lightweight feel which works in all weathers with the right layering. It clashes perfectly over this retro dress that I picked up in debenhams a while ago with it's v neck line and scallop hem providing so much added interest to the colourless outfit. I added a casual vibe with my converse for the day but pop on a pair of heeled boots and your night time ready in this combo too!

How do you do black and white in the warm?

Tight Knit - Naomi

Beyond Retro Waistcoat & knitted vest

The summer knit is perfect for days like today where it's a bit cooler or drizzly. I love layering mine over summer dresses and sheer layers for a summer feel. My recent favourite is this knitted vest from Beyond Retro which is perfect for light summer layering.

For this outfit I layered it over this lace waistcoat with a little denim skirt underneath finishing it of with black sandals, black belt and cut out clutch from Boohoo. The perfect cooler summer day alternative. How are you wearing knits this season?

Topshop Boutique Crochet Knit Top, Zara Embroidery Angalise Blouse, Topshop Denim Skirt, Ray Ban Sunglasses, Orla Kiely Bibi Shoes

Just because it's 'summer', it doesn't mean the knitwear has to be kept under lock and key for the season. I am a huuggee fan of knitwear all year around, so a little bit of warmth isn't going to stop me! It's just knowing how to play the game - crochet knits always tend to be lighter so are perfect for summer days (especially in good ol' blighty) and even better to carry you into the night too so are the ideal place to start when it comes to adding some playful textures (that aren't suede!) into your S/S wardrobes.

I'd had my eye on this cute little tee for a while and my patience paid off as it went into the sale! The light pastels suit summer colour palettes and the layering oppotunities with this beaut will carry you through every season very happily! For this look, I popped it over this beautiful Zara blouse, another airy layer to the outfit that certainly didn't feel too heavy yet still had maximum interest. To finish off with a retro vibe, I picked out the pink and went for my Orla Bibi's that matched perfectly.

How do you wear your knitwear in summer?

Trend Inspo: Fringing Is In

It's funny to think that just 2/3 years ago, we were both working for Topshop and then last week, we were featured on their homepage and appearing in inboxes all around the world in one of their emails! We are so proud of how far we have become in that time and we can honestly say that this is something that has been ticked off the bucket list. So let's talk fringing, a trend we are leading according to one of the biggest fashion retailers in the world!

The exciting thing about fringing this season is there have been more variants than ever before. You can find a fringe detail on just about everything on the high street at the moment and these fringes can come in the traditional suede form to skinny strings to  thick bunchy tassels and everything inbetween! You'll be sure to be roped in we're sure

Here are our favourite fringe finds around at the moment:

This collarless beauty is a classic but sleeker and chic-er than it's more western counterparts

The perfect holiday top! These tassels are super cute without the risky catching business

A wardrobe staple that comes back year after year

Under a denim jacket and over a suede skirt - Ultimate festival outfit

Bring fringing into your evening wear with statement jewellery

An amazing update for this summer staple, who needs frays?

Why not get some fringing into your footwear too? These are half price in the sale so much more purse friendly than the similar Whistles ones!

Add some fringed fun into your 9-5 with this show stopping bag

And thinking of the season ahead, step into Autumn in these thigh highs to get off on the right (fringed) foot

Ziggy Stardust - Naomi

Beyond Retro Vintage Waistcoat & Suede Boots
c/o Free People Hat
Primark Choker Necklace
c/o Dorothy Perkins Tan Bag

We love styling matching prints in our own way so when we were contacted by Lily & The Lamplight we were over the moon for a 'twin' challenge! We both fell in love with this zig zag 70s print so I went for this amazing two piece with bell sleeves (the perfect festival ensemble) and Amy went for the high neck dress.

The fit was absolutely amazing and it was delivered so quick! I styled the two piece with a vintage waistcoat as I didn't want to cover up the amazing sleeves. Then accessorising the look with a choker, little tan bag and amazing suede festival boots from Beyond Retro.

I absolutely love this two piece and know it will come in handy for many occasions over the rest of summer. I definitely advise you to head to Lily & The Lamplight for all different two pieces in amazing prints and styles, there is definitely something for everyone and perfect for summer festivals.
