Joan Of Ark - Amy

Topshop Crochet Faux Fur Gilet, Zara Stripe Crop Top, Scallop Skirt c/o Ark, Ray Ban Wayfarers c/o Asos, Freedom for Topshop Eagle Necklace, Bison Skull Necklace c/o Silver Service, Primark Bag, Zara Slides

Don't you just love it when you find a statement piece that just works season after season? I bought this amazing waistcoat before I even started working for Toppers (so a longgg time ago) and it hasn't ever been shunted to the back of the wardrobe. The warm, fluffy feel makes this a wonderful winter layer but the crochet, folky vibe means this is the ultimate in summer dressing too.

For this look, I've used the gilet to casj up a smarter day outfit. The frill cuffs and scallop hem adds so much interest to such a classic outfit even before the statement piece has even been added but the monochrome allows the outerwear to stand out even more :)

Recently I have been playing around with monochrome prints and my Ark hand t-shirt has become my wardrobe staple, it goes perfectly with my wide leg trousers. This is one of my work outfits, I love the way the wide leg trousers have a wrap around, when I walk they fall really nicely and are super comfy!

I accessorised this look heavily with my new wide floppy hat from Beyond Retro, I absolutely love the shape and the way it falls. My Aspiga Beach beaded pouch bag complimented the look perfectly and I layered up a few silver necklaces. I added layers with this look, a white lace kimono and my H&M fringe jacket. This is my favourite day time look at the moment with lots of interest and print.

How are you wearing monochrome prints for summer?

Hotel MOTEL Holiday Inn (Part 2) - Amy

H&M Conscious Collection Duster Coat, Lavish Alice Roll Neck Jersey Top, Floral Skirt c/o Motel Rocks, Ray Ban Wayfarers c/o Asos, Bag c/o Urban Outfitters, Topshop Jolie Boots

Incase you were mislead by the gorgeous sunshine and blue skies, AW is already well underway! Motel Rock's new season collection launched yesterday and my favourite print of the lot is this yellow floral. To show you just how versatile it is, I went for a much smarter look with the skirt as I styled the jacket quite casually - here in yesterday's post

This print is spot on for the transitional period and I wanted the other pieces to fit this criteria too so went for a roll neck tee, light weight coat and peep toe boots. Even though it's the shades of grey that I've matched up in this outfit, the skirt makes sure the combination still stands out in all the right ways.

Check out the rest of Motel's new pieces here and watch out for Naomi's bralet and maxi skirt posts next week :)

This print is amazing seperately, but looks absolutely amazing as a coord too so couldn't resist sneaking a few extra pics onto the end of this post! Which of the 3 looks is your favourite?

Hotel MOTEL Holiday Inn (Part 1) - Amy

Floral Jacket c/o Motel Rocks, Monki Stripe Dress, Asos Grey Fedora, Ray Ban Wayfarer's c/o Asos, Boohoo Oversized Clutch, Adidas Superstar 2

When it's a statement print you're after, there is no better stop than Motel so when they asked us to shoot some preview pieces it was a no brainer. Even better, they chose co-ords that matched our individual styles so perfectly it was cemented once again why these guys are one of our favourite brands and how lucky we are to be working with them.

This incredible floral jacket is out today! It's cropped shape but cord-like fabric makes this the ultimate in transitional pieces and looks even more amazing with the matching skirt which you can see tomorrowww you lucky things. For this outfit though, I pattern clashed with this oversized dress from Monki as the jacket cuts in at the perfect place to make this dress really flattering. I really wanted the yellow to stand out so kept the rest of the outfit monochrome and quite casual for change.

What do you think of this print? Check out Motel's other New In pieces here and tell me your favourite :)

Monthly Must Haves (July) - Naomi

LFW is fast approaching and I have been starting to think of bits to collect and try out! I often find vintage pieces are they way forward and to make a statement but can't keep my eye of the amazing high street pieces at the moment! I am starting to buy a few darker colours and transitional prints as I am really excited for burberry-esq patterns and prints come winter! Here's my picks for the month even though some are in my 'I WISH' pile a girl can dream :-)

Yes I did just buy the pink version only last week but I just can’t get enough of anything cape or feather related plus how good would it look over the topshop co-ord…Thats 1 LFW outfit sorted :-)

Midi skirts are just the dream in summer and perfect for day to day wear or for that special occasion. Coast do the most beautiful shapes and prints and this one is just divine!

I just love all the playful Charlotte Olympia bags at the moment and definitely want to inject some fun and playfulness into my summer wardrobe to! This lips bag is a great price and a perfect compromise!

These are an absolutely bargain and another great piece from H&M! Perfect for any occasion and no girl can ever have enough pairs of black boots especially with glittery soles!

I saw this set in the Oxford Circus Topshop window styled with the feather cape and I just knew it was for me! I love the sporty edge with the side panelling and drawstring waist and the all over feather and floral pattern is perfect for the transition into A/W.

I really like these and feel like they would be a great addition for LFW coming up! Geek chic with a great shape and gorgeous tortoise shell detailing!

I love it when things come in twos! This co-ord is so pretty and looks so much more premium and expensive than it is. It’s a great set to wear now and wear in winter layered up with fur and knits!

This is one for the ‘I WISH’ pile` but a girl can dream! Free people are just simply stunning with everything they do and this is no exception. A great jacket to throw on your boho outfits and be good to go!

I love a good hat but it’s got to be structured and black! This is the perfect hat I did ever see and with a gorgeous symbolic band around! I NEED IT.

Every now and then I like to add an expensive bit of jewellery to my collection and it’s got to be special like Moxham or handmade etc. Thomas Sabo pendants are simply beautiful I discovered this week especially this one with the colour and detailing.

I used to have this colour last winter and it’s one of my absolute favs.. I have been proper obsessing over my purple at the moment so feel like a new injection of this red beauty is the right answer!

Monthly Must Haves (July) - Amy

I don't wanna sound ungrateful for the insane weather we've been having but oh my god, I am sooo excited for AW14. However much I love the sun, I love AW styling more and I am really loving all the new collections that have been launching. New season's always bring fresh waves of inspiration here are my favourite transitional pieves that are getting me all riled up for the cold (but can still be worn now)

It's safe to say that a full on obsession has occurred. Watch this space for a ways-to-wear, featuring this pastel number.

I cannot believe it's taken me so long to get a pair of mules. I spied these at the New Look AW14 Press Day and have been holding out ever since and I am so glad I did. At half the price of the Zara equivalent and ridiculously comfy, these really were worth the wait

I don't read beauty blogs all that much but even I haven't missed the hype surrounding these. I was gifted one at the #FFAwards Brunch and even though I'm no expert, they definitely seem to live up to expectations.

The shape of this jumper is divine and although the roll neck design gives off a snuggly appearance the crop means it can be thrown over a tea dress once the suns gone in. I sense mustard may be a fave this autumn.

I featured these in a blog post here and they really have been a must have for me this month. They are so easy to chuck on with just a black tee for a comfy AND stylish outfit come rain or shine and we're only £8! such a steal

The new denim colourways are out in toppers and I couldn't be happier! Jamie is my best friend when it comes to buying jeans and I've been looking for this exact 'not black but not grey' shade for a long time. Can I just live in them?

This picture does not do this justice! This cute, glittery thin knit jump reminds me of a similar one I had back in the 90's and would look amazing white a white collar and those jeans for an easy, everyday outfit

Summer's not over yet! The monochrome design means this can be carried all the way through to Autumn and beyond to remind us of happier times when it'll be snowing in September. Wear with a thick knit later on for an ironic AW look

I can't take it any more - every time I see this pop up on Instagram I question why I don't own it! What a statement bag!

I have recently invested in my first pair or designer sunnies and it seems I've caught a bug! These are definitely at the top of my wishlist.

Patch It Up - Naomi

ASOS Crochet Dress (brought with ASOS FF Award Prize)
Topshop Flower Sunnies
Boohoo Hat
YRU Platform Sandals c/o BANK Fashion
c/o Smashglam Bag
H&M Fringe Waistcoat

Crochet and colour are probably my two favourite things so this dress ticks all the right boxes for me! For this summers folk trend crochet is just a big YES and I have been dying to get my hands on one since the Meadham Kirchoff crochet dress of dreams! It's the perfect daytime summer dress and would be great for festivals and at only £50 it's a great price!

I went for all out rainbow and thought my YRU platform sandals would go with the whole rainbow theme perfectly and I just love them! I layered up a little fringe waistcoat over the dress for another little layer as you don't need a jacket in this weather. I am in love with my new sunnies from Topshop they have a floral gold edge and matched the circles in the dress perfectly, I also wore gold elephant earrings and a necklace c/o Amy's Mum Corinne :-) My trusty fedora brought out the black in the waistcoat and my Smashglam bag with cut out detailing went perfect with the crochet pattern!

I am so over the moon with the purchase and highly advise everyone to invest in a bit of crochet-tasticness this summer! Do check out the UNIF ones they are amazing!!!
