On Saturday, TSOP were invited by BMW to attend a summer festival, but we couldn't have been further away than the Metallica and Mud of Glastonbury. Henley Festival, situated on the riverside in the beautiful Oxfordshire town, is a strictly Black Tie event held over a few days with different mega stars appearing each night. Alongside the acts, you find fine dining from celebrity chefs, outdoor art exhibitions and the most amazing little bars - how else would you rather spend a Saturday night? We were insanely lucky to be going the night The Jackson's were performing and the entire evening had us buzzing all the way into Sunday afternoon.
As with any event, we wanted to dress to impress but it isn't very often we get to dress to the nines so we wanted to shine, literally. We fell head over heels in love with these floor length, sequin numbers and coordinated our outfits with colour-matched clutches. Again, as with any event, half of the excitement was to see what other people had opted to wear! There was an electic range of dresses across all ages of ladies - you can see a few on twitter at #bmwbestdressed
After our divine three course meal cooked by Michel Roux we wondered over to the Grand Stand to watch The Jacksons perform. The atmosphere was electric in the intimate space and it was incredible to watch the sun set over the river as the (extremely snazzy) boats snuck past trying to catch a glimpse of the action. The music was followed by an amazing fireworks display and then the rest of the evening was ours! There were bars and 'clubs' scattered throughout the showground to enjoy with coverbands, dj's and cocktails so we did what we do best and danced the night away!
We'd like to say a massive thank you to Alex at BMW for inviting us to yet another surreal evening and for being such perfect hosts on the night - we had a completely unforgettable evening and have certainly become accustomed to the fabulous side of festivals ;)
