iLashes - Naomi

Lashes Of London Floral Co-ord (Top and Skirt), Topshop White Blouse, Boohoo White Boots, Topshop Socks, Boohoo Clutch Bag, H&M Hat, Vintage Sunnies

Nothing says summer more than florals and I loved the colours in this floral print co-ord! Matching top and skirt from Lashes Of London which you can buy here or from Oxford Circus Topshop! The sun has finally come back out which means I can finally wear some summer clothes and enjoy prints like this once more!

I decided to layer a white shirt underneath with a cute detail on the collar, yellow frilly socks picked out the yellow in the print and look super cute with my Boohoo cut out white boots! I never like to be too girly so added in black accessories including my clutch bag, hat and sunnies. Also my black leather jacket was perfect to throw over this when the sun had gone in. I love the print and colours and the style of the skirt made it very flattering. Lashes of London is always amazing quality and fit which always shows.... A definite site to check out for you summer fashionistas!

How are you enjoying the sun this weekend? Hope you are wearing your sunday best!

Unicorn Fluro Contrast Dress c/o Lashes of London, Topshop Studded Leather Jacket, Topshop Crochet Collar Swing Blouse, Topshop Sunglasses, Topshop Frilly Socks, Topshop Anchor Cut Out Boots

It was a good few months ago that we were lucky enough to preview the Lashes Edit Collection for Topshop at the Nicole Levy Press Day but this unicorn dress had not left my wishlist so imagine my sheer excitement when it came through for me in the post! I've said before, Lashes are most definitely my favourite lesser know brand around at the moment as all their pieces suit my style perfectly and are so easy to dress up for any occasion and this dress is no exception

The simple yet feminine shape of this dress means it can we worn in the day or at night time, can be layered over or under all kinds of collars, jumpers and jackets and long enough to go without tights with sandals or with boots and tights. What a bargain. The unicorns make the dress fun which suits me perfectly making this my ideal, staple dress.

For a lovely summers outfit, I chose to add a cute collar and frilly socks but then added heavy leather so it'd be easy to transfer from day to night :)

How would you wear this dress?

Garden Party: Part 2 - Naomi

Topshop Secret Garden Embroidered Sheer Midi Dress, Topshop Orange Floral Wide Leg Trousers, H&M White Shirt, Anna Dello Russo for H&M Coral Collar

The second part to our Garden Party post and another floral ensemble! I always like to play around with layering and different ways of wearing things and my sheer dress was perfect for that. Layering it over a printed wide leg trouser allowed the print to show through but also be masked by the sheer fabric. The embroidery around the collar is stunning on this dress and I felt a sleeveless shirt underneath added a smart element to the look and the statement collar necklace gave it that extra 'Naomi' factor.

I love how some of the outfit is really minimal like the middle, yet the collar detailing and printed trouser poking out the sheer dress at the bottom gives it the detail and interest.
Go through your wardrobe and have a play with sheer fabrics, lace, textured florals and mix them up to create your own garden party look!

Pyramid Song - Naomi

Mink Pink Fringe Velvet Top, Vintage Elephant Skirt, Choies Cut Out Boots, Primark Crochet Bag & Floppy Hat, H&M Sunglasses, Ebay Gold Bindi, Topshop Purple Lipstick

Glastonbury starts tomorrow and we are green with festival envy because we are not going!
For me Glastonbury when I went was an excuse to wear anything I wanted and loved no matter how OTT and fit right in! Festival fashion has been massive this summer and we have already covered it in various recent posts but we feel like Glastonbury needs addressing in true royal style... After all it's the queen of all festivals!

After Coachella and Topshop SS launching a special Festival collection I felt this years festival style is more dressed up, embellished, washed out and tonal with all white dressing playing a big part. It's all about buying into those statement festival pieces; the fringe kimono, washed ripped denim, feather headdresses and embellishment. With ethnic influence always playing a huge part in festival attire I always look to Vanessa Hudgens and Kate Bosworth for true festival style.

My look is tonal, embellished and all in the details. I stuck to a black, gold, cream and brown colour palette and felt the look was a bit more dressed up and grown up which I think is perfect for the season and for Glastonbury.

Let's talk details... The skirt I found on ASOS Marketplace and have I been looking for this kind of ethnic elephant print after seeing it at Coachella. Good old vintage finds always pull through and mean there is no chance of anyone having the same. I love that it's a maxi skirt as it's so easy to throw on and wear at festivals! Mink Pink have brought out a dress in a similar print recently If you enjoy!
The top was a present and a very good one- fringing, beading and velvet all together what more can I ask for. The accessories brought everything together I chose a long fringed crochet bag which I still cant get over it being £6! It's a perfect festival bag and adds texture and interest to your festival look. My big floppy hat made a statement whilst still being subtle and tonal. I always love it with round sunnies! I wore my elephant earrings which I thought add a little interest behind my hair and match the skirt perfectly. I always love to wear ethnic head accessories and bindis at festivals so ran with the gold theme!

Whatever your style- the festival season is the way to show it off! Especially when this year things like OTT floral crowns, feather headdresses and Topshop angel wings came into play! Are you heading to Glastonbury this week? If so what's packed in your rucksack?

Please pack me and Amy! x

Topshop Dyed Denim Shirt, Tee and Cake for Topshop Dreamcatcher Vest, Topshop Fringe Midi Dress, Topshop Feather Headdress, Primark Sunglasses, Freedom for Topshop Eagle Necklace, Primark Bag, Topshop April Chelsea Boots

Let the mud commence, Glastonbury kicks off tomorrow! We've taken inspiration from across the pond at Coachella but now it's the Brits turn to show the festival fashion world what we can do - and hopefully it won't all be raincoats and wellies!

These basic jersey fringed midi dresses are perfect for festivals! Coming in a variety of colours, they are breezy enough if there is some shock sunshine, warm enough for those cold nights by the fire and basic enough to be the perfect base for your Glastonbury outfit without being too plain. Dreamcatchers are a typical festival motif but seemed even more appropriate to tie in with the magical auror of Glastonbury town itself. The oversized dyed denim shirt was the exact burst of colour I wanted for the outfit and keeps the outfit from looking too grown up. I also matched my sunnies so all the colours tied in.

It's all about the statement headwear this season and what better than a handmade (not by myself!) ott feather headband? These can be purchased on ebay for just £20 which for such a unique, hand crafted item is such a bargain but don't let it get caught in the rain!

I finished off the outfit with my eagle necklace, again for that Glaston Town feel and black Chelsea boots, the comfiest and most practical boots ever

What will you be wearing at Glasto this year? Or are you more into your Wimbledon whites?

Garden Party: Part 1 - Amy

Zara Floral Shirt, Tophop 3D Floral Cami, Topshop Lace Dress, Floral Sunglasses via Ebay, Topshop Frilly Ankle Socks, Topshop Aubrey Boots

With these long summer's evenings at the moment, it is definitely the time to have a garden party :) Whether you prefer tea and cake or a beer and a barbie, it's time to embrace the outdoors, celebrate and most importantly - dress up :)

The first thing I think of when dressing up for a garden party is florals and after raiding Naomi's wardrobe and going crazy over her 3D skirt (how talented is she?!) we decided the first look should not just be about traditional florals, but all about texture.

If florals were my first thought when it comes to garden parties, lace is the obvious second so this light coloured floral lace dress was the perfect base for my outfit, as a more subtle and delicate texture. I then layered the white cami over it to tie in the 3D floral theme but again keeping the outfit very light in colour. The satin floral shirt was the perfect top layer with it's bright colours, luxe fabric but the shirt shape suited my style more with the rest of the outfit than a traditional jacket or blazer would. Due to it's more manly shape, I belted it in to give me a figure.

The sunglasses keep the outfit fun (which parties are meant to be!), the socks keep the outfit cute and girly and the boots match the belt to give a traditionally feminine outfit a bit of an Amy-edge. Very much like the surroundings - a beautiful English Garden, with a wonderful twist.

Garden Party: Part 1 - Naomi

Topshop Lace Peter Pan Collar Dress, Topshop Premium Jacket, 3D Flower Skirt (handmade by me!) Primark Flower Diamond Necklace, EBay Flower Glasses, Topshop Ruffle Socks, Topshop Wedge Sandals

The inspiration for this post came from Selfridges recent window and from Amy and myself hunting through my wardrobe to come up with fresh ideas that we could do a wonderful post in! When pulling the outfits for the post I imagined a over the top Garden Party where clashing florals and layers of lace were the norm.

Florals are something every girl has in her wardrobe and for us we had endless amounts to play with! We wanted this post to be fun, theatrical and totally over the top but still something that you guys can take inspiration and get ideas from. To prove that clashing florals and textures can create wonderful and interesting outfits!

Where better to shoot than Brighton Palace Gardens...The stunning setting made a perfect backdrop for this look- a garden party we hope to get an invite for!

For this look I finally got to wear my floral skirt which I actually handmade earlier in the year for a fancy dress costume. It took me 9 hours to hand stitch the flowers on and make the 3D floral masterpiece and I have loved it ever since. I love the lace with the florals so tucked my Peter Pan collar lace dress into the skirt and wore with my boucle glitter jacket which made it more grown up. Adding in a statement floral necklace, some super fun flower power glasses and toughened up with my black wedge sandals.

This look wasn't based on a current trend it was just an idea we wanted to explore, style and have fun with and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed shooting it. How are you wearing florals this summer? We would you to share your floral fun with us!

Naomi's Week In Style

Now that Barcelona is over I am focusing on the next of this years adventures... Bestival! There is nowhere I feel more at home than at a festival sporting lots of colour and embellishment- so sorry if this week in style is a bit eclectic and mental but I have gone festival crazy since Barcelona! The product around for festivals at the moment is wonderful and it's been the strongest year for festival fashion after Coachella and Topshop launching their Kate Bosworth festival collection. I look to Vanessa Hudgens for outfit inspiration where everything ethnic is the rule! Bindis, floral crowns, angel wings and over the top accessories are playing a big influence on festival season 13 so I have done a separate collage just for those extra little details that will make you stand out from the crowd! Enjoy x

1. Oh My Love Vintage Sunflower Skirt & Mesh Crop Top

I enjoy this whole outfit! The skirt is a reclaimed vintage skirt made with sunflower material and the mesh crop top makes it look more grungy! Team this with black chunky boots a fedora hat, sunnies and an oversized leather for a perfect day festival look.

2. Mink Pink Rainbow Lace Top & Skirt

I love a little co-ord and this would look great worn with a bindi, bumbag, chunky boots and oversized parka jacket. I love the rainbow colours and think its a cute little ensemble to stand out from the crowd

3. Oh My Love Lace Maxi Jacket

Things like this are perfect festival attire especially to wear over shorts and a top and still look cool! For day to night layer over a long fur gilet to keep warm but so the lace sleeves still are on show. Kimonos and cover ups like this are must have English festival items!

4. ASOS Floral Jumpsuit

Total flower power! This stunning jumpsuit is the ultimate festival piece and is so sixties! Team with a oversized parka or kimono, big round sunnies and floral headband.

5. ASOS co-ord

The print of this co-ord is perfect for festivals. It comes in a matching jacket, shorts or skirt so pick and choose as you prefer! I love the jacket and shorts and can imagine a little crochet top underneath with layers of ethnic jewellery and head wear. The fluid cut rather than structured co-ord makes is easy to dress down or up. Wear denim or leather gilet over the jacket to layer up.

6. ASOS Cape Top

The image of this top persuaded me instantly to purchase it! I love the simplicity of the top and the shape is amazing! So easy to style up with black hat, back boots and vintage denim shorts. The top is such a statement as it is and is so easy to throw on and look festival ready!

7. ASOS Embellished Gilet

An expensive but investment piece that is guaranteed to turn heads. A gilet Vanessa Hudgens would be jealous of and a perfect way to make a statement at Bestival! Throw over a baggy vest and denim shorts for the ultimate festival look.

8. ASOS Eye Body & Ombré shorts

I love the colours in the body and shorts and think this is a great night time festival look! Throw on a black kimono, boots and bindi for a rainbow ethnic look!

9. Oh My Love Kimono

Stunning print on this new kimono and at £35 it looks a lot more expensive! Wear exactly like the photo with Bralet, shorts and ethnic jewellery for a hippy festival chic look.

Now lets talk accessories.....

1. Ebay Floral Head Crown

Floral head crowns are everywhere this year and now available on eBay and in cheap high street stores like Primark there is no excuse not to rock one! I love this one on eBay with the diamanté forehead detailing! Perfect for Bestival!

2. EBay Feather Wings

Since Kate Bosworth Festival collection Angel Wings are a must! grab yours on eBay for around £5 in any colour you wish!

3. eBay Floral Sunglasses

I brought these for Barcelona and I love them! They are all different colours so you never get 2 pairs the same and at £2.50 what a perfect companion for festivals! Flower power!

4. River Island Festival Head Dress

My feather headdress collection is extremely large and my newest one from River Island is my favourite! River Island are great for festival accessories so head into store for ones like this brown one!

5. eBay Ethnic Headband

Headbands like this look great with ethnic festival attire and are really cheap! They add something special to your outfit and for around £6 are cheap!

6. eBay Ethnic Jewellery

Use sites like EBay and Etsy to find vintage one off pieces that no one has and remember to layer up with necklaces long and short to create interest.

A Week In Barcelona - Naomi

I have just got back from the wonderful Barcelona and had an amazing time with wonderful people! Lots of crazy parties for Off Sonar Week and exploring the stunning streets of Barcelona!
I documented my outfits to share with you all, I hope you enjoy!

River Island Swimsuit, EBay Vintage Denim Shorts, Vintage Tan Belt, Primark Long Necklace, New Look Short Necklace, Primark White Sandals

For the first night I wore a River Island swimsuit with my vintage denim shorts. I love the plunge neckline, gold Aztec design and low back. Off Sonar parties are cool so a swimsuit/leotard and short combination are perfect to carry you from the day to night parties.

River Island Feather Headband, EBay Crochet Swimsuit, Primark Aztec Shorts, Vintage Silver Armlet

The 2nd day to Memoria day party I wore a bright and bold outfit- the headband was a last minute find from River Island I was super excited to wear it! I wore my black crochet swimsuit with aztec shorts from Primark which I love. I felt super confident in this outfit.

ASOS Ombré Swimsuit, Ragged Priest Ombré Shorts, Primark White Belt, eBay Floral Glasses

We went on a boat party which was loads of fun and I decided to go for an all ombré pastel look based around my new ASOS swimsuit which matched perfectly to my denim shorts. accessorised with a thin white belt and crochet bag and my amazing floral sunglasses.

Vintage Embellished Bralet, Handmade Floral Skirt, Topshop Indian Headband, Primark White Sandals

We went to El Row which was carnival/fancy dress mayhem so I decided to wear my floral skirt that I made for a previous fancy dress and last post Garden Party. I wore it with my vintage embellished top and indian gold headband for a floral Indian goddess look.

Here are a few last photos from my trip! Hope you have enjoyed....
