Matchmakers - Naomi

Bag c/o Rue Du Tambour, Jacket & Trousers c/o Sister Jane, Vintage Fur Hat, H&M Jumper, Vintage Aztec Vest, Topshop Argo Boots

I have been meaning to shoot this amazing jacket and trouser combo from Sister Jane for a few weeks now so I am glad I have finally got round to it! I love the print and shape of the jacket and like that the trouser is a slightly different print to the jacket. Everyone usually wears Aztec, ethnic prints In summer but I thought it was nice to bring some print into my AW wardrobe yet still be AW ready!

I loved it teamed with my black fur hat and I almost felt I was some Russian winter nomad! I wore it with my textured H&M jumper which I layered my Aztec colourful vest underneath I like how you can see the colour through which matches my bag :-)

The bag, where do I start to explain my love for this bag! A BIG thank you to amazing bag company 'Rue Du Tambour' who I have been following for ages now and watching them evolve. I was lucky to be sent a bag from them so couldn't wait to style it- I felt it went perfect with this ethnic look and loved the contrast against the print.

How are you matching your prints with coats this A/W? Are you matchmakers like us at TSOP?

Gambia Outfits - Naomi

If you haven't already seen my numerous posts on Instagram throughout the last week then here's some of my favourite outfits from Gambia! I got back yesterday from a week away and I am already missing the glorious sun, sea and amazing food! I love holiday and summer style as I can wear lots of bright colours and prints and layer up the jewellery. This last week I definitely went with the 'When In Africa' motto!

For the day I usually go for a bohemian, ethnic vibe with kimonos being great to throw on over your bikini. My favourite pieces are my elephant batik top which is vintage from eBay and my oriental kimono which is from Love. I usually wear accessories either a hair accessory or a small statement earring and of course a very fitting pair of sunnies to look the ultimate beach babe! Go for a cute little bag, my fringing crochet one added to my bohemian vibes. As I was in Africa I thought I could wear all my favourite prints and wear them proud especially my favourite elephant prints!

By night it was the same kind of deal but I went for my statement jewellery. The top left is my new addition to my wardrobe my traditional African gown which I think is just wonderful and a definite for next years festivals! I'm still absolutely loving my H&M matching skirt and top which is so easy to wear and I adore the bring and beading. I went for an Aztec clash on the bottom right which I think really embraced the African spirit!

If your heading away for some winter sun I hope this has inspired you or if your not I hope you have enjoyed the print and colour I brought to my holidays this year!

Packing For Bestival - Naomi

So Bestival is in a few days and I am super excited! Festival style is right up my street and it makes me very happy I can rock my festival attire for one last time in 2013! Anything with fringing, texture, print and huge hair accessories are a definite pack for me so I have decided to show you my 4 outfits I have chosen for Bestival and where to buy! Hope you enjoy and if you are going to I hope this gives you a bit of inspiration with what to pack!

Look 1: Miss Guided Long Checked Cape, Zara Fishnet Top, Topshop Boutique Leather Pinafore, Primark Checked Shirt, Topshop Purple Hat, Primark Necklace, Vintage Boots

Since buying this checked cape from Miss Guided a few days ago I am head over heels for it! See next weeks post for full style notes on it! I have teamed this with my leather pinafore and fishnet top for a grungy look! I plan to wear homemade fishnet shorts, chunky black boots and a clashing checked shirt  round my waist! Can't wait to wear this one- will finish it off with my Topshop purple hat.

Look 2: c/o Boohoo Leather Gilet, Vintage Burnout Kimono, Minkpink Leopard Long Top, c/o Boohoo Crochet Denim Shorts, c/o Embroderied Bag, Forever 21 Necklace, c/o Boohoo Floral Crown

This look is all around the leopard print top from Mink Pink which is perfect for festivals! Short at the front and maxi at the back it really has that festival feel. Teamed with crochet denim shorts, burnout kimono which looks great under a leather gilet as all the details still show on the arms finished of with Boohoo floral bag, silver necklace and a black floral crown. A grungy look with pops of colour and print  and perfect layers for day to night.

Look 3: Topshop Long Faux Fur Gilet, Topshop Floral Playsuit, Vintage Belt, Primark Rucksack

Brand new floral playsuit from Topshop is perfect for festival attire and looks great with my long cream fur gilet from Topshop. This look is super boho and looks great with festival ethnic jewellery, a chunky belt and boots and a floral hair crown...don't forget the trusty rucksack!

Look 4: Laura Ralph Aztec Co-ord, Topshop Lace Slip, Topshop Kimono, Topshop Headdress, Primark Crochet Bag

A washed out tonal outfit which is all about the texture and Aztec print. This matching shorts and top handmade by Laura Ralph is stunning and perfect for festivals! I layered it with a Lacey Topshop Slip over the shorts and under the top as i don't always like having my legs on show, it makes me feel more confident but still shows of the shorts, a fringe kimono over it which adds texture.. Everyone needs fringing at festivals! My favourite crochet bag from Primark and stunning feather headband which is a must have for festivals! One of my favourite looks for the weekend!

Now lets hope the sun stays shining! X

Kendal Calling Festival

Buy my Boohoo outfit HERE!

TSOP were lucky enough to be invited to Kendal Calling Festival last weekend with the wonderful Boohoo.com and we had such an amazing weekend! I went with my friend from work Charlotte from Friday until Sunday.
The festival which is located in Penrith in the Lake District was absolutely stunning and surprisingly it was only one 3 hour train from London! We felt like we were on holiday all weekend with the stunning settings, lakes, greenery and cider on tap.... Makes a massive change from London!

We stayed in a cute little hotel in Penrith called Elm House, the room was stunning including a walk in shower and amazing full english breakfast! It made a nice change to camping and got to have a nice hot shower, warm bed and cooked breakfast. Now I understand while people do luxury camping! As much as I love getting muddy and smelly it was nice to have best of both worlds :-)

We were lucky enough to have VIP bands and spent most of our weekend drinking yummy cocktails in the VIP bar and hanging out on the amazing pink Boohoo bus! We met the lovely girls from Boohoo who we're so much fun especially Rosie who works for boohoo & also runs a fantastic blog- www.rosie-glow.co.uk. We also got some Boohoo goodies including a studded transparent clutch, floral garland and sunnies!

The festival vibe was so chilled out and cool and there was so much to do! Random pirate ships, the woodland stage amazing door, Sailor Jerry bar... The list goes on! It was such a good all round festival if you want a weekend full on fun and I found it was just the right size that it didn't take forever to walk everywhere which is always a bonus! On Friday we saw Basement Jaxx who were amazing and on Saturday we saw Ash and discovered a new band called the 'The Thingamubob & The Thingamajigs' who had us in stitches and singing along to songs like 'the sound of the monkey' and 'mr rabbit' we highly recommend to check these guys out!

Lets talk clothes... Both Charlotte and myself have massively brought into the whole festival look this summer and working for Topshop we couldn't get away from it so we thought we might aswell embrace the hippy season! You don't have to tell us twice to rock feather headdresses, floral garlands, lots of texture and prints and general festival amazingness!

I was in love with my outfit on Saturday and I had so many comments and people asking where it was from! I was so proud it was head to toe Boohoo which you can shop my look HERE
I wore the Aztec co-ord but turned the top around so it was open at the front and could wear a crop top underneath, the print is stunning and so right for festivals!  I layered it up with a black fringed kimono and Boohoo leather Gilet which was an amazing piece for the weekend that I could throw over any outfit and look great. Thank god for my Boohoo wellies which saved my life in the Saturday night shower! I loved them as they looked like black chunky studded boots but In welly form, I will definitely be taking these to Bestival in September! A must have for the festival season. Accessorised with black floral head garland which as you can see in my photos they have made a massive comeback for the season and are a must at a festival! Mine was from Boohoo and I haven't took it of my head since! I love that its black flowers as it makes my outfit feel a bit more grungy and dark and not as pretty.
I wore a simple Aztec necklace and crochet bag and added detailing with a fishnet sock and gold bindi for that festival ethnic feel!

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my weekend at Kendal Calling and I hope you enjoyed my outfit as much as I did! Head over to boohoo.com for affordable and amazing pieces including what I wore and be sure to check out Kendal Calling next year for a guaranteed fun weekend!

A Week In Barcelona - Naomi

I have just got back from the wonderful Barcelona and had an amazing time with wonderful people! Lots of crazy parties for Off Sonar Week and exploring the stunning streets of Barcelona!
I documented my outfits to share with you all, I hope you enjoy!

River Island Swimsuit, EBay Vintage Denim Shorts, Vintage Tan Belt, Primark Long Necklace, New Look Short Necklace, Primark White Sandals

For the first night I wore a River Island swimsuit with my vintage denim shorts. I love the plunge neckline, gold Aztec design and low back. Off Sonar parties are cool so a swimsuit/leotard and short combination are perfect to carry you from the day to night parties.

River Island Feather Headband, EBay Crochet Swimsuit, Primark Aztec Shorts, Vintage Silver Armlet

The 2nd day to Memoria day party I wore a bright and bold outfit- the headband was a last minute find from River Island I was super excited to wear it! I wore my black crochet swimsuit with aztec shorts from Primark which I love. I felt super confident in this outfit.

ASOS Ombré Swimsuit, Ragged Priest Ombré Shorts, Primark White Belt, eBay Floral Glasses

We went on a boat party which was loads of fun and I decided to go for an all ombré pastel look based around my new ASOS swimsuit which matched perfectly to my denim shorts. accessorised with a thin white belt and crochet bag and my amazing floral sunglasses.

Vintage Embellished Bralet, Handmade Floral Skirt, Topshop Indian Headband, Primark White Sandals

We went to El Row which was carnival/fancy dress mayhem so I decided to wear my floral skirt that I made for a previous fancy dress and last post Garden Party. I wore it with my vintage embellished top and indian gold headband for a floral Indian goddess look.

Here are a few last photos from my trip! Hope you have enjoyed....

Twice As Nice - Amy

Topshop Aztec Jacquard Shirt, Topshop Aztec Jacquard Skirt, Primark Spike Necklace, Topshop Aubrey Boots

I told you to watch this space! Apologies for the second co-ords post in the space of about a week but it just goes to show co-ords are a big deal at the moment and neither of us can get enough of them!

I've mentioned before in previous posts just how much I love this shirt so it was no surprise when I had to buy the matching skirt a couple of weeks later. The thing I really love about this co-ord is the shapes are modern and compliment each other perfectly giving another statement element to the outfit (just incase the stunning print and colours weren't enough!)

As I've also mentioned before, with a co-ord (especially if the print is a bit mad!) you want to keep accessorising to a minimum. The gold spikes give a modern tribal feel against the aztec and I've gone for my Aubrey boots to the buckles match the necklace! This is definitely the smarter way to wear this co-ord but I have gone out in it with a lilac beanie, denim jacket and flat black boots for more of an everyday way to wear.
