Rumours - Naomi

Ebay Crochet Swimsuit
Vintage Paisley Dressing Gown
c/o Boohoo Hat
ASOS Fur Stripe Scarf
Beyond Retro Belt
Necklaces: Topshop, Ebay & c/o The Adorned Duo Elephant Necklace

As you all know folk style and influences plays a huge part of my wardrobe and style. Anything with intricate detailing, pattern and rich texture is right up my street which is why I found covering this trend so easy and fun!

The weather is still really warm for September and I am so ready to layer up for the colder weather now! Until then I am going for items like this ASOS fur scarf and just pretending it's cold enough to wear it but I am just totally obsessed. I love the unusual colours and thickness of it. I brought this paisley dressing gown from a charity shop a few weeks ago and think it's great! Perfect for layering and for autumn. I liked the clashing paisley against my In Love With Fashion paisley palazzo pants which are such an amazing shape with the high waist and wide leg and I have worn them to death for September so far. Don't be scared to mix patterns and colours. I always think the best folk looks work with a warm, rich autumnal colour palette.

I loved teaming the crochet body with this look for the texture and detailing and it always look great with layers of necklace and against the fur. My trusty black fedora finished of the look with my Aspiga Beach beaded clutch seeing out my last few weeks of summer in style!

This is a perfect transitional folk look for now and I already love it, I just can't wait to be draped in knitwear and fur in a few months! How are you wearing this AW14 trend?

Take Off Your Pants and Jacket - Naomi

Primark B&W Clutch
Ebay Sunglasses
Topshop Earrings

The time has come to invest in staple winter coats that will keep us warm and look on point with all your AW outfits. I have been after a good shearling jacket and fell in love with Miss Guided's new collection which include tan, pink and black! Amy styled up the black version in yesterdays post did you see?

I decided to go for a full on 60s vibe for my outfit which is both on trend for AW and looks great with the 60s inspired jacket! I teamed the jacket with a blue cropped roll neck which I absolutely love the shape of. The colour looks great with the monochrome print skirt which has such a cute 60s vibe to it. The weather is so up and down at the moment so I teamed it with my peep toe sandals which I thought worked really well. I kept to the monochrome accessories with the 60s style glasses from Ebay and a B&W clutch from Primark.

How are you styling your jackets up for the season?

Florals will be an obvious choice come spring, but we'd prefer to break them out early. A sweet bouquet is just the right remedy for the gloomy winter weather. Lead by Givenchy, D&G and Erdem. The flowers of the moment are set on a black canvas rather than white - and during these dark winter days we are all about the moodier palette.

We were asked by Bank Fashion to cover winter florals, which is a trend I have worn throughout winter to brighten up my wardrobe. Bank has recently had some amazing new floral product hit down so it was an easy choice for me to make with this gorgeous velvet Playsuit and fringed kimono both by brand Ribbon. I felt like the patterns worked well together being slightly mismatchy yet still complimenting eachother. I love both pieces and know this is going to be a staple outfit for me from now until summer! It's never to early for me to break out the floral crown especially in this rich red colour which makes it perfect for winter. The floral crown is from http://www.stephanieverafter.com/ and you can get them in a variety of amazing colours! I accessorised this look with my Topshop Layered necklaces which complimented the look and a simple belt from UO.

Are you breaking your florals out early ahead of spring?

Matchmakers - Naomi

Bag c/o Rue Du Tambour, Jacket & Trousers c/o Sister Jane, Vintage Fur Hat, H&M Jumper, Vintage Aztec Vest, Topshop Argo Boots

I have been meaning to shoot this amazing jacket and trouser combo from Sister Jane for a few weeks now so I am glad I have finally got round to it! I love the print and shape of the jacket and like that the trouser is a slightly different print to the jacket. Everyone usually wears Aztec, ethnic prints In summer but I thought it was nice to bring some print into my AW wardrobe yet still be AW ready!

I loved it teamed with my black fur hat and I almost felt I was some Russian winter nomad! I wore it with my textured H&M jumper which I layered my Aztec colourful vest underneath I like how you can see the colour through which matches my bag :-)

The bag, where do I start to explain my love for this bag! A BIG thank you to amazing bag company 'Rue Du Tambour' who I have been following for ages now and watching them evolve. I was lucky to be sent a bag from them so couldn't wait to style it- I felt it went perfect with this ethnic look and loved the contrast against the print.

How are you matching your prints with coats this A/W? Are you matchmakers like us at TSOP?

Naomi's Week In Style

My week in style generally reflects what mood I am in the day I pick the items and what has influenced
me and my life the past week and this week it's crazy texture and embellishment! I am writing this from
Sunny Gambia in Africa but never the less I am still stupidly excited because its winter and party season is fast upon us! There's nothing like fur, sequins and embellishments and lots of rich colours over AW and I want to sparkle everyday for the rest of the year!

Don't forget girls fur and sparkle is how to make a statement for Christmas you will ooze in glamour and turn heads....

1. Nasty Gal Pastel Rainbow Fur Coat $450

OMG could you get anymore epic than this coat of dreams? Possibly the best thing I have ever seen since I graced this planet 23 years ago- expensive price but for a coat that would make you feel like a furry princess!

2. ASOS-  Virgos Lounge Sequin Maxi Skirt £129

I saw this in Look Magazine last week and fell in love! I usually start to look for my Christmas Day outfit around about now and this is definitely on the cards! With a simple top, some gorgeous sparkly jewellery and a big fur coat what a way to feel Christmassy!

3. Nasty Gal Fink Platform Bootie $162

Recently I have wanted to spice up my footwear and steer away from my standard black boot obsession so when I saw these on Nasty Gal I was definitely won over! They will look Mazing with sheer tights or a cute little sock or amazing with a statement trouser! Nasty Gal strikes again!

4. ASOS Matching Jacket & Shorts £55 & £35

I love this gorgeous two piece! It's so easy to throw on and look unbelievably chic. The print reminds me of Alice in wonderland, I think you can dress this up or down to make a look that's magical!

5. Nasty Gal Sheepskin Clutch $40

Don't just stick to fur coats for AW, go for fur EVERYTHING! There's no such thing as too much texture so lets get #texturalsexual trending!

6. Nasty Gal Leopard Blazer $129

I NEED THIS! I love it so much it's one of those jackets you can throw over a boring outfit of black jeans and a jersey and look unbelievably chic. It's in the accessories with this wear a black fedora and statement boot for the ultimate winter get up.

7. H&M Fur Jacket £65

This is gorgeous, the colours and the unusual fur print make it a statement jacket that's hard to say no.  Throw on over a simple outfit for a perfect day look or over gold sequin or embellishment for that party vibe.

8. ASOS Embellished Bralet £55

I tend to go out a lot more this side of the year with all the Christmas- doesn't everyone! So I am always looking for sparkly number that I can wear with my high waisted shorts and jeans. This is perfect to add a bit of sparkle to your wardrobe!

Sometimes we don't stress enough how our style is playful, experimental and most of all we have fun with our blog posts! So when things like Halloween come round we are straight on the case to make it our own.

I believe we all own items that can get us in the seasonal spirit. Hunt out your black lace, floral crowns, fishnets, cross necklaces and chunky black boots and give your look a scary but sexy makeover!

I have been waiting weeks to wear this Miss Guided fur jacket which I absolutely fell in love with! After shooting this with Amy,a guy on the train thought it was an animal in my bag... That's one sexy animal! I wore it with my harness body from Topshop which they bring out every year and is perfect for Halloween. Teamed with my black pvc skirt makes the look on trend aswell as seasonal and don't forget your feet! Fishnets and buckle boots compliment the gothic look perfectly. I added another layer and wore my black lace jacket and threw on my studded sunglasses which are amazing and look very bat like!
