Black Out - Naomi

ASOS Lace Choker, H&M Hat
ASOS Printed Flared Trousers
c/o Indigo Cult - Kiss The Sky Black Lace Kimono

Who's excited for Halloween?! I for one have never been that into dressing up in spooky attire and with all the gory trimmings so we decided to do the 'cool' way to do Halloween which of course involves lot's of black and lace!

I opted for a a playful yet dramatic look which is my spin on Halloween, working around the amazing black cape from Pretty Little Thing, the shape was perfect for this and was a great layering piece with my new Kiss The Sky black lace maxi kimono underneath which I have worn to death since it came. I have been desperate to get my new flares in from ASOS so these worked perfectly for a bit of detail and my ASOS Lace choker gave it a cute edge! Accessorising the look with my big black hat and new clutch from my favourites Smashglam.

How cheeky does my carved pumpkin look in the corner? It was the first year I have carved a pumpkin and we were very impressed with our first efforts! How are you getting in the Halloween spirit? Happy Halloween everyone!

You Can't Ghoul Me - Naomi

c/o Miss Guided Reata Fur Jacket, Topshop Harness Body, Topshop PVC Skirt, Topshop Lace Jacket, Topshop Argo Boots, Forever 21 Sunglasses

Sometimes we don't stress enough how our style is playful, experimental and most of all we have fun with our blog posts! So when things like Halloween come round we are straight on the case to make it our own.

I believe we all own items that can get us in the seasonal spirit. Hunt out your black lace, floral crowns, fishnets, cross necklaces and chunky black boots and give your look a scary but sexy makeover!

I have been waiting weeks to wear this Miss Guided fur jacket which I absolutely fell in love with! After shooting this with Amy,a guy on the train thought it was an animal in my bag... That's one sexy animal! I wore it with my harness body from Topshop which they bring out every year and is perfect for Halloween. Teamed with my black pvc skirt makes the look on trend aswell as seasonal and don't forget your feet! Fishnets and buckle boots compliment the gothic look perfectly. I added another layer and wore my black lace jacket and threw on my studded sunglasses which are amazing and look very bat like!

How are you guys preparing for Halloween next week? We hope this post has inspired you to have a ghoul makeover!

ASOS FF Collaboration: If You've Got It, Haunt It - Naomi

'This post is number 5 of 5 in a special series we have done for Asos Fashion Finder on why the pink coat is most definitely this AW13's essential purchase by showing you how it can be worn with literally every other trend around this season'

Sparkle And Fade Pink Coat c/o Urban Outfitters, Topshop Halloween Jumper (Amy's), Maxi Braces Dress Forever 21, Topshop Argo Boots, Topshop Veil Beanie, Charity Shop White Shirt

Sorry if you guys are sick of the sight of pink coats on our blog this week but we hope you have found this as interesting as we have enjoyed shooting it for ASOS FF and don't worry this is the last one :-)

It really does show that the pink coat can be worn with anything and is a definite update for the standard black coat this season! We couldn't go without doing a seasonal post with the coat and with Halloween just round the corner the ghoul and gothic inspired trends are very much apparent!

I think a premium gothic inspired look for this time of year gets you right in the spirit of things and can create wonderful outfits. The pink coat works so well with the dark outfit and softens the look perfectly.
I went for a black and white rib cage jumper which is Amy's queen of knitwear- to smarten it up I added a stiff white collar. The fur stole looks perfect with the pink coat and made the coat have the grunge edge. The jumper and shirt went perfect under my braces sheer maxi from Forever 21 which I absolutely love- it's a great piece for layering! Teamed with a leather short, black tights and my killer Argo buckle boots from topshop. I felt the look didn't need much accessorising as it was quite busy and I wanted it to be all about the shape. I just wore my veil beanie which really created that gothic and dark look.

How are you guys letting Halloween influence your wardrobe this time of hear?

The Craft AW13 Lookbook - Naomi

1st look: Topshop Floral Playsuit, White Charity Shop Shirt,
Topshop Premium Lace Jacket,Topshop Purple Hat, Accessorise Black Necklace,
c/o Boohoo Clutch, Topshop Sandals, Silver Service Necklace

2nd Look: Primark Fluffy Black Jumper, Topshop Choker, Topshop Sunnies,
Primark Rucksack, Topshop Black Vinyl Midi Skirt, Topshop Boots, UO Cross Belt

When it comes to anything dark, gothic and Lacey its definitely my area of expertise
and this is one trend I want to share with you knowledge and tricks!

This AW is set to be all about textures rather than prints playing with items like
vinyl skirts, fluffy jumpers and detailed lace. Mix the textures up to add interest
and detail and keep accessories to a minimum. Let your styling and textures speak for
themselves and don't be scared to layer texture upon texture to create dramatic craft
 looks.

Play around with the sheerness of lace layering it over or under items to create
another dimension and add a crisp white shirt underneath floaty black dresses and
a big black hat to create that premium witchy feel!

1st look

This is one of my favourite outfits I have worn in a while and is a definite for LFW.
I love the layering and think the crisp white shirt looks amazing under the Topshop
floral playsuit! Where I would usually clash patterns with the playsuit I have
replaced it with a textured lace jacket which adds detail and is so right for AW13.
I accessorised the look with 2 necklaces a black beaded one and this amazing one
from Silver Service Jewellery which I wore underneath my collar. A clean black
clutch finished of the look along with a bare leg and wedge sandal to be weather
appropriate.

2nd look

This AW is set to be all about vinyl! Vinyl skirts have started appearing on the
high street and even primark are set to be doing one! Arguably a hard piece to bring
into your wardrobe as its so out there and different but a definite must have with a
fluffy jumper! This is my 2nd vinyl skirt and I think they are fabulous!
The structure and shape of this black one from Topshop make it super easy to wear,
its flattering and looks great with a statement boot! I teamed with a black fluffy
jumper from Primark.. Snap these bargains up now for £10! I love to accessorise so
went for a cross belt and. Necklace but kept the bag simple with a black slick
rucksack. Again the cut out boot give it that cool edge and the gold detailing
fitted perfectly!

Tactical and clever layering to create masterpieces will stand you apart from the
crowd this AW so be sure to put a spell on next seasons wardrobe... Abracadabra!

Into The Woods - Naomi

Topshop Unique Woodland Maxi Dress, c/o Boohoo PU Gilet, Topshop Purple Fedora, Primark Cross Necklaces, c/o Deichmann Studded Boots, c/o Boohoo Studded Rucksack, Topshop Round Sunnies

Summer Is still here :-) and we are getting the odd day of warm weather, which means the maxi dresses we all love to throw on are still kicking around the front of our wardrobes. Don't be scared to wear them as the weather gets cooler but wear them more layered like Amy and myself have! Wear thin knitwear over the top of them or throw on a leather and boot. Were not the floral, pretty maxi dress kind of girls we tend to opt for the more grungier, darker versions so we thought a monochrome maxi post would fit perfectly on our blog and shows that everyone can wear a maxi! I think everything maxi is great, whether it be a maxi skirt or dress I love that in the warmer weather I don't have to get my legs out yet I can still look summery and feel great... All hale the maxis!

I wore one of my favourite maxi dresses which I actually haven't had chance to wear much since buying it last year, but I feel with the dark, gothic inspired trends for AW it will look great layered up with fur, knitwear and boots. It's part of the Topshop Unique collection from a few years back which I found on eBay. I love the style of it with the high roll neck and long sleeves and the gorgeous woodland print which is so unusual. It's unbelievably flattering and makes me feel like I should be wandering around a enchanted forest! I wore it with my PU gilet from Boohoo which gave it that tough edge but without covering the whole dress - I love that the sleeves still show. The purple hat from Topshop is such a gorgeous colour I feel like it added texture and depth to the outfit. The cross necklaces are all Primark and look great layered up with the different lengths. The boots which are from Deichmann are so unbelievably comfy and look super sexy! I love the studding on the back of them and find them great for running around all day with a manageable heel but still looking on trend. I borrowed Amy's sunnies which are such a fantastic shape and go with every single outfit possible, lastly my studded rucksack from Boohoo which is a fantastic bag- it looks super cool and can fit all my essentials in so I usually don't need to carry my canvas bag with iPad and work stuff in! It finished of this look perfectly and made a dressed up maxi dress look perfect for day wear- it got a grunge makeover.
