Matchy Matchy - Amy

Vintage Camel Coat via Ebay, New Look Heart Print T-Shirt Dress, M&S White Shirt, Topshop Circular Sunglasses, Dorothy Perkins Mini Bag, Topshop Heart Print Shoes

We love to mix and clash patterns and textures over here at TSOP but sometimes it's nice to match :) I have been all over this heart print since it was first shown at the AW13 show and I still haven't got over it - it's so easy to wear and livens up any outfit so I couldn't help myself but wear my dress and my shoes together! Coords are still massive and this is just a less obvious way to wear them, even if it is a little louder.

What is your statement print this season?

Florals seem to be all that I am buying at the moment as I am well and truly stoked about spring! Olive and Frank contacted us to do a review which we were very happy about and I chose this wonderful white lace skirt which is perfect for the season ahead!

I love the lace detailing at the bottom
and not only does it fit into the lace trend for SS14 but also into the floral category which is also blossoming!  I went for a balance of casual and smart by teaming the skirt with a tee from Feather Hearts which says the phrase 'We All Fall Down' I love this tshirt and thinks it looks great mixed up with floral patterns. My bank kimono is my wardrobe staple and looked great over this outfit! The sun was absolutely gleaming when I took these shots so the sunnies were a must aswell as my trusty fedora!

Let's take a moment to focus on the necklace and bag..... Arent they both incredible!! The necklace is from Smashglam and I absolutely adore it! It looks great teamed with my tee to dress it up and get that balance! The bag which is equally as wonderful is from ASOS- I spotted it in the magazine and have been waiting patiently for it to come online! I absolutely love it and it's great for the SS14 3D floral trend.

I was really happy in this outfit and think it's a perfect ensemble for the spring warmer months! Now let's hope the sun is here to stay :-)

Floral Dress c/o Vintage Inclined, Primark Sunglasses, Boohoo Clutch Bag, New Look Sandals

Sometimes, there are just no dresses like vintage dresses - those one off, amazing pieces that fit so perfectly it's like they were made exactly for you. It's a dream when you find them and I am missing my vintage fixes now I'm back in Oxford and there are substantially less places to search for these gems so I'm so happy the Internet has come up trumps with Vintage Inclined, a small boutique on ASOS Marketplace which makes finding those perfect pieces all that bit easier :)

I don't know what I like more about this particular dress - the bold florals, the built in collar, the scallop middle.. Everything about it is spot on for me and my style so the moment spring really sprung I couldn't wait to get out in this! I wanted to let the dress speak for itself (how could I not!) so went for minimal white accessories to keep the look as fresh as the weather :)

To find your own perfect match this spring, head over to Vintage Inclined and use code 'TWOSHOES' at the checkout for 20% off :) you'll thank us later!

Naomi's Week In Style

I have been completely submerged into the wonderful world of vintage print and texture since starting my job at Beyond Retro a month ago. Everything I have brought has had a massive folk presence and has just got me super excited for holiday and the festival season!

I'm going to Morocco in May for a wedding and a little holiday so I'm starting to buy things for that. I want my wardrobe to have major Morocco vibes so have been opting for rich colours and prints.... Obviously!

1. Beach Cafe Sunchaser Pants

On holiday you always want easy things to throw on by the beach or pool to be both cool and stylish. These trousers are going to be my godsend for holidays this summer. They fit like a dream, are super comfy and are amazing pastel crochet! What more can I ask for?!

Since working with them previously I have absolutely fallen head over heels for their bikinis. The fabric and fit makes such a difference and I'm very excited to wear this new animal print one which I think would look amazing with a headpiece and floaty kimono!

3. eBay Headpiece

I'm always on the lookout for unusual jewellery and headpieces and this is just divine! A great statement piece to wear at night and will dress up the most simplest of outfits with a glamorous touch... All for £10!

4. Folk

The folk and world traveller influences which are now hitting the high street heavily for SS14 have got me all in a tizzle! It just gives me
excuses to wear more pattern, colour and texture... Yes I said MORE (if that's possible!) go to town this season to create breathtaking ensembles!

I have the biggest soft spot for Moxham! My black leather necklace I got for my birthday is my all time favourite and the new collection has got me very very excitable! White connecting segments which make up this piece of art which also comes in a bracelet and wait..... A headband!! Shut the front door! I need it all...

6. Beyond Retro Folk Jacket

I'm not just saying this because I work for them but vintage is the answer to recreating runway looks and trends. This jacket is obscenely good and perfect for the folk SS14 trend. Mix vintage with high street and you will realise... Vintage is the key!

7. eBay Beige Cape

Since watching the burberry show over and over again and wanting to re create every single look I came across this beauty on eBay! This beige cape is my must have piece for spring. Perfect to team over floaty dresses like the burberry show and be good to go for SS14. Great find!

8. Jeffrey Campbell Boots

I have wanted a pair of animal printed boots for a while now but haven't found the right pair. Until now! Jeffrey Campbell never fail to amaze and these quirky boots have a hidden wedge inside which I really like! It's always nice to have a bit of a lift- even better when no one knows! Really unusual print- definite purchase!

9. Burberry

I know it's the AW14 show but I just want it all right now! Looks like this are perfect for spring layering floaty dresses with light capes and ethnic influences in the accessories. This whole show is basically my dream so you will have to excuse me if I try and dress like this for the foreseeable future!

Quilted Leather Biker c/o Dorothy Perkins, Zara Big Cuff Striped Crop Top, Maxi Skirt c/o Dorothy Perkins, Topshop Black Belt, Boohoo White Clutch, Topshop Aubrey Cut Out Boots

I'm not going to lie, when Dorothy Perkins asked us to style the maxi skirt, I panicked a little as this was so out of my comfort zone but this just goes to show how versatile these essential SS14 pieces are as I came away absolutely in love with this look.

These skirts are the perfect way to get your statement pastel look this Spring, especially if you're style is a little more elegant than some other candy coloured pieces around at the moment. The sutble shade and slight shimmer in this skirt glistens and looks gorgeous as it flows - and it's only £18. What more could you need for walks on the beach on holiday and bbqs at home?

The last word to describe my style would be delicate so I felt I needed to complement this skirt with tougher pieces so went for trusty black leather and this amazing crop top from Zara with the dramatic cuffs. It was the perfect outfit for fun in South Ken with equal amounts of posh and play

Dorothy Perkins Blue Maxi Skirt
Dorothy Perkins Black Floral Sheer Top & Floral Blazer

The 2nd item we were asked to style up to my delight was the 'Maxi Skirt' I am a huge maxi skirt fan and found this no problem to do! We chose gorgeous satin floaty ones in pastel shades and I went for the pale blue one. I love the way it moves when you walk, they always make you feel super feminine and they are great for day wear over summer!

I wanted to dress the skirt up so teamed it with a black sheer floral top and floral blazer both from Dorothy Perkins. The necklace picked out the blue in the skirt perfectly and added a bit of glitz to the outfit. This is a perfect transitional outfit for spring for a lunch date with friends and I will definitely be wearing it lots over the next season!

Maxi skirts are always my godsend over summer as I just don't like showing of my legs unless on holiday so these are perfect for work and can be dressed up or down. I always go for a printed one but found this satin blue one a really nice one to dress up and on trend with the SS14 pastel shade. Dorothy Perkins have a great range of maxis and SS14 product so make sure you head to their site to check it all out!

We hope you have enjoyed our Dorothy Perkins collaboration as much as we enjoyed doing it, we were lucky enough to work with our favourite photographer and ultimate babe on this project- Holly McGlynn who really captured the essence of TSOP and our friendship through these photos- THANK YOU! Stay tuned for Amy's Part 2 post coming tomorrow night!
