We're lucky enough, here at TSOP, to work with some pretty incredible companies but when we were asked by Dorothy Perkins to take part in their Essentials campaign, we knew this was going to be something extra special and I got even more excited than I usually do, which is a lot of excitement! Just as I had thought, this was the most enjoyable shoot I have ever done - I travelled up to London with my mama and baba in tow to shoot with Naomi again (I miss it so much) and with amazing photographer Holly McGlynn where we played tourist for the day in a sunny, albeit windy, South Ken.
The first item we were asked to style was the mini bag. As a new mother who has to lug around gigantic changing bags (how glam), these quaint little beauties were heavenly. Less is definitely more with a smaller handbag - gone are the days where you're routing around in that blackhole of a tote for keys when you've come home a bit tipsy or finding that lipstick you lost 6 months ago at the bottom of that abyss when you can fit everything you need into a nice, neat package? This black and cream compartmented little number can house all your day to day essentials (ipad, brolly, biscuits) without a problem. Almost like Mary Poppins, but better.
I decided to play up the lifestyle/practicality of this bag by styling it to a 'city chic' look. I kept the outfit quite clean and simple but bright and bold opting for tailored shapes with the throw on coat, clean white collar and must-have city shorts and this season's 'it' colours, pale blue and yellow.
Love these photos! They're so fun and you both look like your having an ace time. x

You both look gorgeous and this has to be one of my favourites. It's nice to see you two together laughing and enjoying each other's company. Holly has done an excellent job capturing the chemistry between the both of you.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have a bag which is chic and spacious at the same time so you don't have to compromise.
