Who said going back to school can't influence us all? It used to mean a new pencil case, shoes and a coat when we were younger and why not now? It signifies the start of winter and the lead up to the busiest time of the year for a lot of people - Christmas! So we should all take a minute to smarten up our look, invest in new shoes,a coat and stationary for work, school or university!

I took a visit to the Levis VIP showroom this week and got to pick out some AW14 goodies. I picked out this amazing denim dress and black long varsity coat and then realised they are both perfect for this post! I layered a smart white shirt underneath the dress which I thought added a nice edge and a white sport sock with my Public
Desire cut out shoes worked perfectly! I went for a statement playful backpack which is Sunita Mukhi and I have fallen in love with it and accessory wise a black belt and my favourite glasses for a geek-chic finish. An adorkable outfit for any kind of playground!

What are you prepping for this September? Whether it's just the new season ahead or a new job make sure you do it in style!

H&M Black Blazer, Topshop X Ashish Parlez Vous Anglais? Tee, New Look Shirt, Marks & Spencer Cropped Polka Dot Trousers, Ray Ban Wayfarer c/o Asos, Primark Clutch, Paperchase Filofax, Converse

Even if I don't want to remember how many years it's been since I left school, I can still remember the excitement of a the new school year every September, mainly because I'd have a brand new spanking set of stationery but I did enjoy the enthusiasm I'd have for the fresh start, even if it'd run out by Christmas.

This post, in many ways, is ridiculously ironic - firstly because I actually had a blazer as part of my school uniform and at every given opportunity it was shoved into the bottom of my bag and secondly, if there was any one lesson I hatedddd at school it was french. I am loving all the french slogans around at the moment though and pretty chuffed that this Ashish tee has stood the test of time and is still a firm fave in my wardrobe!

I couldn't resist finishing off the look with my converse, the perfect 'too cool for school' shoe, and this summer's stationery purchase - I guess some things never change.

Monthly Must Haves (August) - Naomi

The last few weeks the weather has dropped and my head is totally in AW14 mode. Boy I love summer but I am welcoming AW with open arms and i'm totally ready for layers upon layers of fur, print and texture! Online and in-store are full of AMAZING transitional pieces and coats and this is the time to snap up the best of the best! I'm collecting my  pieces now so be quick to make the transition and get ahead of the AW game! Here's what I am absolutely swooning over this month, it's a good'un!

Who said jumpsuits are just for summer? This new jumpsuit by Love is the perfect autumnal piece with a gorgeous folk inspired painted print which is so on trend! Layer it up with fur and knitwear to transition into winter!

You all know I love a choker and Topshop are absolutely killing it at the moment with all their gorgeous styles. This one is super cute and has nice autumnal colours.

I am dying for a pair of printed flares and they are so HARD to find! I came across these on Instagram by a website called Novella Royale and fell head over heels in love. They are incredible and come in lots of different prints... A PAIR IN EVERY PATTERN PLEASE!

I always like to include some pieces that I really love but I am just never going to afford and this is one of those items! These boots are made for walking, running, sleeping and dancing. I just love them so much I want to die. The gorgeous snakeskin and tan together is so right but the £330 price tag is so wrong :-( A girl can dream....

I saw this on the gorgeous Megan from Pages By Megan who works for ASOS and fell in love. I love a statement fur stole and this one is so unusual with the flash of green and red. It would look great for now over a leather jacket - infact it will look great over EVERYTHING!

I wore a Sunita Mukhi bag at LFW last season and have been in love with them ever since. They just contacted us about working with them again and this is top of my wish list! I love a backpack and the eye and beading gives a black backpack a 'Naomi' edge..

I know Amy is lusting after these beauties to! I love the pony skin top with the chunky heel and they are the perfect clean black boot to make a statement with any AW outfit. Also being from Urban Outfitters you know they are going to be seriously good quality and it's worth investing in for a essential black boot!

I discovered the Urban Outfitters US site this week and advise you all to check out the A-mazing product! I found this cape and the other cape on this wish list on the site & would definitely pay the shipping for these beauties!

A girl can never have too many hats and this one is so beaut for AW14! I love the shade of brown and the shape of it and can't help but think I NEED it for my AW hat collection!

These are such a good shape and I love the really orange and vibrant tortoise shell print. There a nice winter sunny to prepare for the winter sun (haha!)

Another amazing find on the UO US site! This time slightly more expensive but for a Pendleton cape it's worth it... Wait- and its reversible! I'm totally won over!

Ughhh I have been dreaming about this coat since I saw it on the A+O Instagram. It's just divine and actually is made for a queen. That queen will be me at LFW next month- how do you think I should style this bad boy?

Beyond Retro Belt
Boohoo Floral Crown & Coin Necklace Harness
c/o PLT Boots
Topshop Sunnies

On Sunday I headed to Notting Hill Carnival, the weather was dry which was lucky as everyone knows yesterday was a complete wash out! I have only been to carnival once before so wanted to go and explore more so we headed to Ledbury Road which is where all the main stages are. We spent forever looking for the 'Disco Hustlers' stage but ended up just floating around the stages and watching some of the floats. Carnival has such an amazing atmosphere, everyone is so happy and the food is amazing! We got a corn on the cob and it was the best corn on the cob I have ever had!

I wore Motel Rocks, which I think is absolutely perfect for Carnival attire! Lot's of bright colours and prints, which everyone was rocking! Carnival style is fun, bright and playful- which I absolutely loved! I wore the Guadalupe print crop top with a bright pair of shorts and kimono with statement accessories! Did any of you make it to Carnival this weekend?

Outfit 2
Beyond Retro Raincoat

Primark Flower Sunnies

Monday was an absolute wash out and I was absolutely gutted as I had the below outfit to wear :-( We ran outside for a quick shot so I could show you guys! How perfect is the Fluro Flower print for Carnival?

Mellow Yellow - Naomi

Ebay Beige Waterfall Jacket
c/o Littlewoods Yellow Clutch
New Look Block Tan Heels

Is it safe to say that summer is officially over?! It's been raining all day and miserable- despite this me and my boyfriend made a dash to my favourite tunnel to try get get some shots in (excuse some of the rain drips!) at TSOP we have been getting super excited about all the AW14 trends and colours and are eager to try them all out in our own individual ways.

The first on our hitlist was mixing a palette of neutrals and yellow as seen with many 60s influences/catwalks and trends for AW. I went for a simple outfit layering my Miss Guided trench coat with my new beige sleeveless jacket which I found on Ebay- i love the shape over it and think it will look great over knitwear for AW. But this played a great part in this layered outfit and was a perfect colour- I belted all together to finish it of wearing a simple neutral dress underneath. I went for minimal but statement accessories. The Termite sunglasses are so good- I am in love with them. They are made from wood and I just love the round shape and think there so unusual. The yellow clutch was my key bit of yellow to make the colour palette complete. I never usually do a sock and sandal but I really like the beige colour way with the tan sandals.- it's almost granny chic! It makes them perfect for this up and down weather (but not in the rain as I definitely stepped in a puddle!) & I think it finished of the look perfectly... I just hope my boyfriend doesn't notice there missing from his sock draw!

How are you guys experimenting with AW14 trends?

Mellow Yellow - Amy

Topshop Yellow Coat, Zara Roll Neck Jumper, Zara Camel Trousers, Topshop Circular Sunglasses, Primark Clutch, Primark Shoes

If there is one catwalk show that really stuck out for me in February, it was Topshop Unique and it is most definitely my biggest source for AW14 inspo. The textures and tonal dressing were bang on perfect and the colour palette was just so dreamy, I've been waiting for what feels like forever to mix the ideas into my own wardrobe.

As we are still in the last few weeks of summer, I kept this outfit quite transitional by wearing a pale yellow  coat over my thick knit (new favouriteee) and not the warmer mustardy tones we've been seeing pop up over the high street and have worn these bargainous open toe boots from Primari. I love how the textures in this look are quite clean but I can't wait to layer up this outfit with fur collars, patterned shirts and jazzy socks in the (much) colder months.

What are you favourite looks for autumn so far? I might be enjoying the clothes but I am definitely not enjoying the autumnal cold! We hope you're having a lovely bank holiday :)
