Naomi's Week In Style

A very sparkly week in style post just in time for New Years tomorrow! If you still don't know what your wearing for New Years celebrations then this might help you - there's still time! Whatever you are doing for New Years make sure you do it in style and have the most fantastic start to 2014! May it be a very successful and happy year for us all!

1. Miss Selfridge Embellished Dress

Embellishment is a must to stand out at New Years and this dress is perfect. Gorgeous Grecian style with amazing detailing a perfect party dress.

2. Boohoo Net Skirt

These are fab to wear with a sequin or dressed up top and look super chic! Different to a dress and bang on trend- Carrie Bradshaw eat your heart out!

3. River Island Head Chain

I am partial to a head chain/ accessory and this one is amazing! It looks like it has more structure than my other ones and I love all the detail! Perfect to dress up a simple outfit or dress.

4. All Saints Dress

All saints do sequin dresses so well and you will wear them to death so definitely worth the money! This one is a gorgeous shape and would look great dressed up with heels or dressed down with chunky black boots and a leather jacket.

5. Miss Selfridge Body Chain

These are great to dress up a simple top or black dress and look great! If you don't want to invest in a new outfit but want to look amazing then buy into a body chain like this- they are great pieces to have in your wardrobe especially for the festive period!

6. Miss Selfridge Embellished Top

This is super cute and I absolutely love the ethnic style embellishment! Will look great teamed with a skirt and a fur jacket.

7. ASOS Fur Clutch

It's all about mixing texture to create amazing and interesting outfits so this clutch is absolutely spot on for that! Mix sequins, PVC and embellishment with the fur clutch to be party season ready!

8. Topshop Fur Jackef

AW is an excuse to look like the snow queen and totally rock it so make the most out of fur and sequins. This cream fur jacket is gorgeous and is so much nicer than black. It will look great with a sequin dress underneath for a night out.

9. ASOS Mesh Insert Dress

This dress is super sexy and a mesh insert is always a head turner for party wear! ASOS are great for bodycon dresses like this and this one is top of my list and it's in the sale- winner!

Have a great new year everyone!

Winter Jewels - Naomi

As you all have probably gathered I'm partial to statement jewellery- especially necklaces! For me, they are always the best way to finish of an outfit, add interest and make a statement. Jewellery can give a makeover to the most simple outfits making them wearable to everyone! If your a jeans and tee kind of girl - try a statement necklace to add interest, simple chic! I absolutely love jewellery so will often work my outfit around my statement neckwear - no outfit is complete without some sparkle! This is a collection of my favourite winter jewels and where to buy them... Enjoy!

Moxham Anubis Necklace

Moxham are my favourite for jewellery and statement pieces. All handmade constructed by leather and metal they are both unique and amazing! I have worn mine loads since receiving it as a gift for my birthday and highly recommend buying into this amazing brand- you will not be disappoonted!

* Smashgam Silver Rhinestone Jewel Necklace

Oriental prints have played a big part in AW13 wardrobes and follow suit so have the statement floral necklaces that sit so well with them so this necklace has been top of my pile. 3 jewelled flowers with simple white rhinestones - it's pretty yet chic and looks great with oriental floral prints.

* Chelsea Doll Palm Jewel Plate Necklace & Earrings

I absolutely love this set- the rich green colour and Palm print shape to goes I perfect with my vintage dress! It's nice to bring a bit of colour to your accessories especially In winter and this set does just that!

* Complete Finishing Touch Bohemian Sweet Necklace & Smashglam Pastel Pink Jewel Earrings

I have worn this to death and always get so many compliments on the necklace. It looked great for the AW13 pastel pink dressing and when going for a tonal look the necklace added interest and sparkle whilst keeping to the tonal palette. A definite investment piece to create a statement and be on trend!

* Ziba Global Grunge Statement Stone Choker

Grab this quick as it's now in the sale and half price! I have never had a necklace so sparkly and the colours are gorgeous. With orange turquoise and white stones and a 3D shape of 3 clusters this is the perfect statement piece! It's really unique and one I will definitely be using in up and coming shoots- Ziba never fail to amaze with their gorgeous jewels!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas day and you are making the most of the leftovers and Christmas films on TV! With New Years fast approaching I hope you have got your glitzy going out pieces ready so I thought this was post was fitting for the lead up to new year.

Motel Rocks is everyone's first stop for sequin dresses and I am totally won over by this one! I usually steer clear of bodycon but love the Motel ones- they are such good quality and really sparkle! The long sleeves are great for winter and they can be really dressed up or down depending on your style.

I wore mine with oversized studded leather which toughens the sequins up and my chunky holographic Argo boots. I went for a more dressed down look and opted for a black beanie and silver chain but this dress also looks great dressed up with heels and a clutch!

Enjoy the rest of the Christmas festivities- eat, drink and be merry!

I'm so unbelievably excited to share this edit with you for my favourite vintage hangout Beyond Retro. TSOP have done a few guest posts for their blog over the last year so felt it would be fun to do a Christmas Party edit featuring an overload of sequins and sparkle - perfect for Christmas!

I was lucky enough to work with the amazing Holly McGlynn again, who brought my dreams to reality shooting this 4 part lookbook. We wanted to capture the fun and festivity of Christmas and what better way to do that than at the famous Winter Wonderland. I ate candyfloss, drank mulled wine, cuddled teddy bears and went on the carosel- we had an all round fun day of shooting! I think the lookbook captures the essence of how to wear vintage at Christmas and the Beyond Retro identity. Make sure you head to Beyond Retro online or Instore to get your sequin fix!

Part 4 and the final part of my Christmas Party Edit and of course I saved the best until last! I really do love these shots the hazy winter sun with the Ferris wheel in the background and of course the amazing BR pieces!

The gold plunge dress is a perfect Christmas party piece that has the vintage but sexy edge! I love the metallic gold print and ruching around the stomach. The dress is black velvet at the bottom and is a definite head turner! I wore it simple with my black fur stole and dark green turban. A statement earring from Chelsea Doll and black clutch from Boohoo was just enough accessorising. I wore an open wedge sandal with a glittery sock which I always think looks really cute for parties in winter.

I hope you all have enjoyed this 4 part lookbook and it has influenced you to rock the sequins for Christmas! Massive thank you to Hannah from BR and to Holly for photographing these amazing shots.

Part 3 of my Christmas Party Lookbook is tacky central! Christmas is the only time of the year you can go sequin on sequin, look like a Christmas decoration yet look so right - so make the most of it!

I went for a black and gold sequin top with amazing leaf and sheer detailing and mixed it with a gold sparkly skirt both of course Beyond Retro! I love a vintage turban so felt this complimented the look perfectly and don't forget the jingle bells sunnies which added to the festive cheese!

What festive accessories are getting you in the mood?

Part 2 of my Beyond Retro Christmas Party Lookbook is all around one of my favourite vintage essentials the 'trophy sequin top'  The oversized shape and the amount of detail and beading make it a perfect Christmas piece to have in your wardrobe!

For this look I wore it with a black lace skirt and wore my feather cape over the top to create drama- they are great for the party season! This look didn't need accessorising as it's super glitzy so I teamed it with a clean patent black heeled boots which I always much prefer to a heel as it means I can dance the night away!

What trophy vintage piece do you rely on for the Christmas season?

For part 1 I went for a metallic high neck mini dress which has the most amazing  metallic design on the top half and black bottom. Christmas is all about looking like a tree decoration as after all it's the only time of year you can get away with it! I layered the dress with this stunning sequin jacket, which is a staple piece for this time of year! I love the sparkle and accessorised it simply with my blue fur stole and holographic clutch. I hope you like!

Stay tuned this week for the rest of my Beyond Retro Christmas Party Edit!

Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal - Naomi

As you may no it's National Christmas jumper today which is a very exciting day for Amy and myself as we love a good festive jumper and getting in the spirit of things!

In aid of Save The Children charity which is an amazing cause and a fun way to get people to donate £1. I'm sure a lot of offices today will swapping there crisp white shirts for snowmans, santa and reindeers all in the name of charity!

The truth is everyone loves a good festive jumper and this year Boohoo have provided me with this fun 'Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal' one I just can't get enough of. With saying from famous film Home Alone (although I didn't know this!) it brings the fun and magic to the Christmas season.

You can wear Christmas jumpers in lots of different ways but I love the red with checked print! Layered with a studded shirt underneath and sleeveless checked jacket from Love I think I showed of the jumper whilst including some of AW best prints.
I stuck to a simple black clutch, black hat and black studded boots as the outfit was busy- the studded collar shirt added just enough jazz to this Christmassy ensemble!

How are you wearing your Christmas jumpers this year? Stay tuned for my second glitzy Christmas jumper post over Christmas!
