Drop Beats Not Bombers - Naomi

Topman Bomber Jacket, Charity Shop White Shirt, Vintage Checked Shirt, Harvey Nichols Tartan Trousers, Primark Rucksack, H&M Sunnies

The bomber jacket is a style that always sticks around and comes back in a new updated fabric or print and this AW is no exception! Buy into a statement bomber that will be sure to last you more than one season.

With the 'This Is England' dressing taking over the high street ready for next season- tartan print and bombers are key! Go for a black, khaki or tartan one to rock the trend and the good thing is they an be dressed up or down. Dress up with a crisp white shirt and dress down with a high waisted jean and boot.

A black bomber is a staple piece and can instantly and that can instantly add that sporty cool feel to an outfit and make a change to your usual black leather. For this look I wore my boyfriends black bomber from Topman which is exactly the same as the Topshop one.. It may go missing from his wardrobe a lot this winter!  I really enjoyed this look as it's edgy, masculine and tailored with a really premium feel.

I went for a crisp white shirt underneath my bomber and amazing tartan trousers, I added a checked shirt round my waist. Accessorising with my black rucksack and clean rayban sunnies a simple look all about the tailoring, shape and of course tartan!

Drop Beat Not Bombers - Amy

Topshop Fur Collar Bomber, Topshop Houndstooth Oversized Sweat, Topshop High Neck Crop, H&M Black Bodycon Dress, Topshop Circular Lens Sunglasses, Topshop April Chelsea Boots

Sometimes, it's nice to give those classic trends a really modern feel for that perfect fashion forward outfit and this season, it's all about bringing back the bomber jacket. There's the perfect one around for everyone, whether it's quilted, khaki or the revival of 90s orange lining. I was lucky enough to pick this bomber up in the toppers sale nearly 2 years ago and it still comes out every autumn. The little twist to this is obviously the fur collar which makes this version a lot more feminine than the classic bomber.

I've gone for a monochrome, 60s feel to dress up this quite causal jacket and keeping with the 'modern twist to a classic' theme, I have used my houndstooth Ovid sweat as the statement piece to this outfit. I kept the rest of the outfit as clean and simple as possible using black and white jersey (so not ton take away the textures in the bomber and sweat) and finished off with a simple Chelsea boot to keep the outfit quite casual, but not too casual.

Amy's Week In Style (25 Weeks)

This is the most painful lust list I have ever made as however unsuitable all of these items are for pregnancy, I needed to share how wonderful they all are anyway!

Topshop Furry Beanie
Something I can wear to kick things off! Black goes with everything but the furry texture gives this beanie it's perfect AW13 twist

Topshop Teddy Coat
How warm and cosy does this beautiful coat look! Teddy coats are going to be huge (literally) this winter and I want to snuggle in this one!

Topshop Sheer Check Tee
A sleeker and much smarter way to crack the tartan trend. Wear with a white pointy collar and leather mini for cleaner way to wear This Is England without losing all that texture

Zara Houndstooth High Neck Top
I always love houndstooth in autumn as it never seems to go out of fashion but this structured, boxy top gives the classic print a perfect modern shape for this year.

Zara Stripe Crop Top
Yet another perfect autumnal top that will never go out of fashion - is it weird I like the stripe widths on this the most?l

Topshop Katz2 Cut Out Shoe
You know if its black leather and a cut out style then it's right for me! I love the mix of patent and non patent leather on these

Topshop Boutique Plastic PVC Skirt
I want to join the PVC skirt craze so badly and this shape is/was a lot more suited to my shape compared to the pink pencil or waved midi. I like the grey version just as much, boo!

Topshop Boutique Angora Knit Tops
These are so right, I couldn't pick one I liked more than the other two! The colours, shape, feel of these are all to die for this season and would go perfectly with the PVC skirt for trend followers or denim for more of a classic look.

#boohooWRAPUP Event

Visit Boohoo here!

Last Thursday, TSOP were honoured to be invited to dinner with Boohoo and a few other gorgeous bloggers for their Wrap Up event to showcase their Christmas collection at The Happenstance near St Paul's :)

The lovely Boohoo ladies Roxanne, Rosie and Alex had set up for us all was just stunning with gorgeous flower arrangements and killer heels lining the dinner table, a video booth so we could film our favourite pieces and jars of pick n mix for us to take up in little pink and white striped bags!

Even though Naomi had already seen the collection at their press office, the second time round was equally as exciting when we both saw all that glitz and sequins! With the alcohol flowing nicely (not for me, wahhh) and a lush sat down meal it really did feel like Christmas had come super early and was such a lovely evening.

There is something for everyone and for every Christmas party in the collection and I cannot wait for it to launch! Both of us have already picked out our Xmas Day outfits - Naomi, a silver high neck all over sequin top and Amy, a black and gold striped sequin shift dress. Both pieces have that perfect festive sparkle without being too dressed up for a day at home with the family and both such good quality and value! Watch out for the video appearing of us and all the other beauties talking about these!

We are so lucky to be associated with wonderful companies such as Boohoo and the people that work for them are even more gorge than the clothes we get to see- thank you again Boohoo! Hopefully we'll see you for Spring :)

Into The Woods - Amy

Maxi Dress c/o Boohoo, Topshop Paisley Lace Roll Neck Crop Top, Topshop Crochet Crop Jumper, Topshop Sunglasses, Freedom For Topshop Eagle Necklace, Vintage Bag via Notting Hill Market, Topshop Amelie Boots

As someone infamous for their rather large collection of short shorts, it's no surprise that I haven't actually worn a maxi dress since my Prom back in 2007. 6 years down the line, I felt the maxi deserved to come into my new, grown up take on fashion and I have not regretted it a single second. Maxi's have always been a favourite with expecting mothers due to the 'cover-all' aspect whilst their bodies are changing but the maxi really flatters everyone, it's just about finding the right shape and pattern to suit your own style.

This monochrome floral number from Boohoo.com seemed like the perfect transitional piece to take me through summer into autumn and the best way to introduce the maxi back into my wardrobe without steering too far away from my own style. The elastic is in the perfect place to flatter my waist and strappy detail means its perfect to wear alone when its warm or to layer up all the way through the cold.

For this look, I have done yet another look inspired by the trend 'Dark Craft' playing on the dark florals as the centre peace and adding other key elements from the trend like the lace roll neck, leather bag and studded boots to finish off :)

Into The Woods - Naomi

Topshop Unique Woodland Maxi Dress, c/o Boohoo PU Gilet, Topshop Purple Fedora, Primark Cross Necklaces, c/o Deichmann Studded Boots, c/o Boohoo Studded Rucksack, Topshop Round Sunnies

Summer Is still here :-) and we are getting the odd day of warm weather, which means the maxi dresses we all love to throw on are still kicking around the front of our wardrobes. Don't be scared to wear them as the weather gets cooler but wear them more layered like Amy and myself have! Wear thin knitwear over the top of them or throw on a leather and boot. Were not the floral, pretty maxi dress kind of girls we tend to opt for the more grungier, darker versions so we thought a monochrome maxi post would fit perfectly on our blog and shows that everyone can wear a maxi! I think everything maxi is great, whether it be a maxi skirt or dress I love that in the warmer weather I don't have to get my legs out yet I can still look summery and feel great... All hale the maxis!

I wore one of my favourite maxi dresses which I actually haven't had chance to wear much since buying it last year, but I feel with the dark, gothic inspired trends for AW it will look great layered up with fur, knitwear and boots. It's part of the Topshop Unique collection from a few years back which I found on eBay. I love the style of it with the high roll neck and long sleeves and the gorgeous woodland print which is so unusual. It's unbelievably flattering and makes me feel like I should be wandering around a enchanted forest! I wore it with my PU gilet from Boohoo which gave it that tough edge but without covering the whole dress - I love that the sleeves still show. The purple hat from Topshop is such a gorgeous colour I feel like it added texture and depth to the outfit. The cross necklaces are all Primark and look great layered up with the different lengths. The boots which are from Deichmann are so unbelievably comfy and look super sexy! I love the studding on the back of them and find them great for running around all day with a manageable heel but still looking on trend. I borrowed Amy's sunnies which are such a fantastic shape and go with every single outfit possible, lastly my studded rucksack from Boohoo which is a fantastic bag- it looks super cool and can fit all my essentials in so I usually don't need to carry my canvas bag with iPad and work stuff in! It finished of this look perfectly and made a dressed up maxi dress look perfect for day wear- it got a grunge makeover.

Naomi's Week In Style

So it's that time of week again when I compile a list of items I can only dream of affording! But as usual there are wonderful things to share with you guys and maybe they can make their way into your glorious closets! You all must be well aware of the pastel pink overload for AW which we are very excited about- a fresh approach to AW! So my wishlist is toned down and all about pastel pink, holographic and texture.

1. Motel Rocks Holographic Rucksack

Amy and myself swear by our trusty rucksacks and since my new obsession with anything holographic is very apparent I feel I should trade in my old black one for a shiny new update! Bye bye black, hello super shiny new bag!

2. H&M Pink Patent Skirt

A wonderful investment piece for AW13- but be sure to snap this up quick to avoid disappointment! Patent leather and pastel pink... What more could you want to be on trend for next season! Team with a pastel pink cropped jumper to be a tonal pink goddess and let the texture do the talking!

3. H&M Ribbed Black Jumper

H&M is on fire for AW and pulling all the key pieces out the bag! This ribbed black jumper with transparent wool is perfect for next season being both practical and warm but with a sexy twist. Would look great layered over something printed or with a crisp white shirt underneath! A killer piece of knitwear.

4. ASOS Floral Garland

I'm of to Bestival in a few weeks so my festival wardrobe is kicking around until then... Summers not over yet :-) ! Another festival, another OTT hair accessory! This floral crown from ASOS is simply stunning and I have a killer kimono if will go perfectly with for festival attire. Keep your eyes peeled for my Bestival outfit posts!

5. Moxham Anubis Necklace

I have included one of these in my week in style posts before and again my love for Moxham Jewellery is still going strong. Stunning handmade pieces that are guaranteed to make a statement! Perfect for fashion week- wear over something textured like the H&M Ribbed jumper in this post!

6. Topshop Teddy Pea Coat

A must have for AW13 a teddy coat! The cream looks fresh in the cold months and lightens up a dark winter palette. Warm, cosy and looks perfect with PVC skirts which I will be massively buying into next season.

7. Topshop Pink Fluffy Crop Jumper

Fluffy and pink perfect to wear with my pink PVC skirt! This will come in handy next season and great for the new 50s inspired trends!

8. Topshop Boutique Ripped Jeans

Since buying these in black I have worn them to death! I am not usually a jean kind of girl but the shape of them flatter my figure perfectly and love the ripped knees and element of grunge they add to my wardrobe- £50 well spent!

9. ASOS Holographic Flatforms

Holographic overload sorry guys! These are stunning and since spotting them in the latest ASOS magazine I knew I had to have them! They look great with a little pop sock and tailored trouser and add a modern twist to a timeless classic style... Winner!

Spot The Difference - Naomi

Beyond Retro Vintage Dress, Topshop Sequin Crop, c/o Boohoo Pearl Sunnies, Sequin Make Up Bag, c/o Deichmann Black Shoes

I thought it was about time I brought one of my favourite vintage pieces out to shoot and couldn't wait when Amy suggested doing a vintage polka dot post! This dress is one of my favourites and I absolutely love the vintage shape, pleats and the way it falls!

Polka dots is arguably one of the most common vintage prints with every vintage fanatic owning something spotty. I decided to layer my pearl high neck crop top underneath which I think gives it perfect neck detailing and more dressed up than a shirt. Accessories kept to a minimum and all about black and silver. These gorgeous pointy black shoes with silver tip detailing which are from Deichmann and were an absolute dream to wear! Super comfy and great value, perfect for this outfit! My make-up bag which is silver sequins went great for this dressed up look and my Boohoo pearl sunnies make the look fun and consistent!

How do you wear your polka dots?
