As you all know folk style and influences plays a huge part of my wardrobe and style. Anything with intricate detailing, pattern and rich texture is right up my street which is why I found covering this trend so easy and fun!

The weather is still really warm for September and I am so ready to layer up for the colder weather now! Until then I am going for items like this ASOS fur scarf and just pretending it's cold enough to wear it but I am just totally obsessed. I love the unusual colours and thickness of it. I brought this paisley dressing gown from a charity shop a few weeks ago and think it's great! Perfect for layering and for autumn. I liked the clashing paisley against my In Love With Fashion paisley palazzo pants which are such an amazing shape with the high waist and wide leg and I have worn them to death for September so far. Don't be scared to mix patterns and colours. I always think the best folk looks work with a warm, rich autumnal colour palette.

I loved teaming the crochet body with this look for the texture and detailing and it always look great with layers of necklace and against the fur. My trusty black fedora finished of the look with my Aspiga Beach beaded clutch seeing out my last few weeks of summer in style!

This is a perfect transitional folk look for now and I already love it, I just can't wait to be draped in knitwear and fur in a few months! How are you wearing this AW14 trend?
