The Cardigans - Naomi

Topshop Suede Cardigan similar here
H&M Studio Crochet Dress
c/o PLT Tan Sandals & Fringed Bag
c/o Boohoo Hat

You have probably seen this Topshop cardigan alot recently as it has topped every fashionistas wish list! The perfect summer cover up which is both on trend and perfect for summer evenings over dresses. The good thing for us is it came in 2 colour-ways so we both put our spin on each version!

I styled up the brown and tan one with my new H&M studio crochet dress which I am head over heels for! I wanted to keep the look quite tonal so went for a beige hat, tan suede fringed sandals and my new PLT fringed bag which has been a godsend with all my 70s outfits at the moment. We had so much fun styling these cardigans up and found this amazing yellow backdrop out and about in sunny Oxford!

The Cardigans - Amy

Topshop Suede Cardigan, Zara Stripe Dress, Marc Jacobs Sunglasses, Orla Kiely Betty Sandals

Honestly, I think this is the piece of SS15. Topshop have managed to combine all the key trends into one blinkin' amazing cardigan and create it in 2 colour-ways to suit every taste. Suede, crochet and fringing are all big this season to it's no wonder that together they create a mega statement.

I have to admit I love both of the colourways, but the brighter of the two (see Naomi style the Brown tomorrow!) is something truely special. I have been popping it over everything from a white tee and jeans to patterened tunics like this striped jersey. I love pulling a colour out to match up and in this outfit I decided to go for the red, getting in a lip and in the flower on my Bettys. It genuinely puts a smile on my face every time I pop it on, I just adore it!

How would you style the crochet cardigan?

Work That Skirt - Naomi

Beyond Retro 70s Vintage Coat
H&M Hat, c/o Trend Two Denim Button Up Skirt
c/o Boohoo Crochet Top & Clutch Bag
Topshop Choker Necklace
c/o Urban Outfitters Pony Boots

If you told me last year I would be rocking a denim button through skirt I would of not believed it, but with the recent trends it fast become one of my wardrobe staples at the moment and I couldn't love it more!

It goes with everything and adds that 70s twist to your wardrobe that every girl needs... The A line shape is also pretty flattering unlike most mini skirts so I feel confident at the same time! I styled mine up with some killer crochet and a statement 70s penny lane coat for a weather appropriate look thats still on trend! Accessorising with my new favourite Topshop silver choker, black hat and cut out white clutch from Boohoo.

Don't be scared to dress your skirt up or down but trust us you will get so much wear right through to next AW15!

Patch It Up - Naomi

ASOS Crochet Dress (brought with ASOS FF Award Prize)
Topshop Flower Sunnies
Boohoo Hat
YRU Platform Sandals c/o BANK Fashion
c/o Smashglam Bag
H&M Fringe Waistcoat

Crochet and colour are probably my two favourite things so this dress ticks all the right boxes for me! For this summers folk trend crochet is just a big YES and I have been dying to get my hands on one since the Meadham Kirchoff crochet dress of dreams! It's the perfect daytime summer dress and would be great for festivals and at only £50 it's a great price!

I went for all out rainbow and thought my YRU platform sandals would go with the whole rainbow theme perfectly and I just love them! I layered up a little fringe waistcoat over the dress for another little layer as you don't need a jacket in this weather. I am in love with my new sunnies from Topshop they have a floral gold edge and matched the circles in the dress perfectly, I also wore gold elephant earrings and a necklace c/o Amy's Mum Corinne :-) My trusty fedora brought out the black in the waistcoat and my Smashglam bag with cut out detailing went perfect with the crochet pattern!

I am so over the moon with the purchase and highly advise everyone to invest in a bit of crochet-tasticness this summer! Do check out the UNIF ones they are amazing!!!

Patch It Up - Amy

Primark PU Leather Biker, Topshop Crochet Patch Dress, Topshop Sunglasses, Name Necklace c/o Chelsea Doll, Boohoo Clutch, Topshop Anchor Boots

I have never hidden my extreme love for knitwear and however much I am enjoying this beautiful british summer we are having, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't finding a way to sneak it into my summer wardrobe. Gorgeous crochet dresses and crop tops are the ultimate way to give your outfits a textured, folky and vintage feel in this warmer weather especially since 'Granny Chic' is all over the high street at the moment and we are definitely both hooked ('scuse the pun).

I wish I could whip up my own unique creations but it's taken me 20 odd years to master basic knitting so whilst I'm getting going on some squares, I've had to find my treasures in stores. This is definitely one of those times where patience in vintage/charity shops will probably pay off but I seriously doubt I would have found a dress that matched my style so much. The shape and style of this Topshop dress has that amazing retro feel but the blocked colours give it a sleeker update.

This clutch looks like it was made especially for this outfit and the black detailing led me to rocking the look up with leather.

What do you think of the crochet craze?

#FashFestFun - Amy

Kimono c/o New Look, Floral Crochet Dress c/o New Look, River Island Fedora via Asos, Lamoda Sunglasses, Necklace c/o New Look, Bison Skull Necklace c/o Silver Service, Boohoo Clutch, Sandals c/o New Look

There are many things we have been lucky enough to take part in since we started TSOP and there are a few I still have to pinch myself over. Being let loose in New Look's flagship on Oxford Circus and being asked to find the perfect festival outfit is one of them. Rhian and a few other lucky ladies are off to Benicassim this weekend, a festival I have thought of attending (mainly for the BEACH aspect! no mud! huzzah!) but have never quite got there but what's to stop us getting in the spirit?

Naomi is certainly the Kimono Queen and I tend to opt for light coats/denim jackets/leather bikers for pretty much every occasion, festivals included, so I was quite suprised when I fell for this tile print kimono. The geometric pattern is more my taste than in-your-face florals and the sleeker shape is easier to wear than tassels if you're primary style isn't boho. I have actually enjoyed chucking this over a cami and black jeans, something I NEVER thought I'd say!

For this look I wanted to go quite tonal. This statement crochet dress is perfect for festivals and pretty much every other occassion this summer and the two-tiered effect is so flattering. I matched the pink fedora, pink gems and pink shoes to the colour in the kimono to promote a very feminine feel to this outfit but went for a contrasting clutch to make a real accessories statement.

We'd just like to say a massive thank you (again!) to Rhian and the team at New Look, and would love to see your festival snaps using #FashFestFun :)
