London Fashion Week AW15 - Day 2

Amy - Camel Sleeveless Coat c/o Missguided, Green Blazer c/o Dorothy Perkins, Topshop Pleat Bib Shirt, River Island Trousers, Ray Ban Glasses c/o Red Hot Sunglasses, Boohoo Clutch Bag, Topshop Unique Loafers

Naomi - Khloe Coat c/o Missguided, Velvet Cave Snakeskin Waistcoat, H&M Roll Neck, River Island Shorts, Asos Green Hat, Chloe Sunglasses c/o Red Hot Sunglasses, Mango Star Clutch Bag, Snakeskin Boots c/o Daniel Footwear

For Day 2 at London Fashion Week, we based our outfits around this amazing River Island abstract print. Being bright and appealing to both our personal styles, there was lots of colours and key pieces to play around with. We both rocked our Missguided Khloe coats and then gave our own twists with the rest of the looks - Amy going for a tailored blouse and blazer whilst Naomi went for clashing stars and snakeskin,

Quite a quiet day on the cobbles for us kicking off the day at Orla Kiely (potential favourite!) and then Hemcya, Sibling and Danielle Romeril Presentation.

Red Stripe - Amy

H&M Studio Blazer, New Look Ribbed Jumper. H&M Striped Shirt, River Island Stripe Shorts, Red Leather Bag c/o Florian London, Topshop Magnum Boots

I always feel that Topshop Uniques SS shows are below par compared to the AW but this season changed all of that and I have become obsessed with the show for sporty/stripey influences for my new-season wardrobe. Enter River Island with these amazing shorts/trousers which we are both lovinggg.

I decided to keep on the stripes them and added my h&m shirt for contransting skinny stripes and then added some stripy texture with a ribber sweat. I think shorts always give that extra ounce of casj to a look so smartened it back up again with a blazer, heels and my favourite little leather, which also added that extra pop of colour.

What are you excited to see hit the high street this season? I hope there is more where this came from!

Red Stripe - Naomi

Vintage White Shirt
c/o Boohoo Black Blazer Waistcoat & Fedora
c/o Lipsy Michelle Keegan Biker Jacket
c/o Florian Red Chelsea Tote Bag
c/o Urban Outfitters Pony Boots

Monochrome and stripes are always key for January blues, after Christmas and all that sparkle its nice to strip back in stripes!

We have been absolutely swooning over River Island new season at the moment and really enjoyed styling up these matching prints in our own ways. I styled up the stripe cigarette pants with an oversized white shirt (which is actually my boyfriends- they fit so much better!) I layered a sleeveless black blazer over it with my leather jacket over my shoulders for a casual edge. This was a great excuse to style up our Florian red bags and brought the look together perfectly!

How are you wearing stripes this January?!

SS15 Press Days - Boohoo, River Island, Debenhams & Free People

There is no better way to brighten up those miserable, wet, winter days than popping to a Spring/Summer press day. You are kindly reminded that the long nights do not last forever, and soon enough we'll be basking in Britains 5 minutes of sunshine. In the last couple of weeks, we have been lucky enough to pop by some of the high street's biggest brands to see what they have in store for us in 2015 and we promise you, SS15 is gonna be a good'un!

Our ultimate faves Boohoo is always a press day we look forward to every season. Every time we go we are always head over heels for the product and astounded at the prices! It's safe to say our wish list is now as long as our arms, we can't wait for all the SS15 product to start dropping in January ESPECIALLY all the festival product which includes some amazing embellished pieces and cute suede capes!

This was our first RI press day and we were not disappointed! The trends were distinctly laid out around the room with key outfits hung on the wall and the biggest mountain of delicious cactus cupcakes. Our favourite rail was full of 60's suede, which we cannot wait to get our hands on! Also how ah-mazing are the cactus cupcakes?!

Our favourite space of the season was Debenham's which was held in the basement of Victoria House in Holborn. I always love how varied the product is at the Debenhams Press Days from wedding-wear to homeware and all that's inbetween. Anywhere that's stocking watermelon pool slides has got our vote.

One press day we will always look forward to is Free People! A bohemian heaven at the SS15 one with the most amazing dresses, twinsets, denim and of course FLARES! Our favourite piece being the embellished dress on the middle right. Definitely a 'Glastonbury' worthy piece for next years festival season! The SS15 collection starts dropping in Jan, so keep your eyes peeeeeled ladies!

Be Our Guest - Amy

Longline White Blazer c/o Boohoo, Lorra Floral Cami Dress c/o Coast, River Island Fedora via Asos, Primark Necklace, Asos 3d Floral Clutch, Topshop Gilmore Shoes

Whenever I get invited to anything special, I have to admit my first thoughts are always 'ooh! what shall I wear?!', which is then usually followed by much deliberation, chopping and changing, finally deciding on something and then changing my mind 5 minutes before I leave. I've never really been to many weddings, christenings or any other snazzy event where I can dress up and this year they have all come at once! After having a little practice at the Company Style Blogger Awards and Henley Festival, I think I am beginning to get the hang of occasionwear.

I am off to a wedding at the beginning of August and I am currently at the 'finally decided' stage of the wardrobe game and have settled on this total beauty from Coast. This is a really similar shape to the Alice and Olivia dress I wore here for our 1st birthday but if there is anything I have learnt about occasionwear, it's that you need to feel comfortable in whatever it is you've chosen even if you've been led out of your comfort zone by social etiquette. The shape of this dress is flattering without making me paranoid about riding skirts or food babies and the colours are subtly stunning - exactly what you need as a guest.

Weather is always an issue too when planning occasionwear for British-based events and a white blazer is the perfectly sleek staple to re-use at event after event for chillier evenings and the possible shower. I finished off this outfit with this stunning clutch which has accompanied me to all my dressier events this summer and pale pink shoes and fedora for a feminine edge.

What occasions have you been to this summer and what did you decide to wear? Let me know how easy it was to decide (and hands up if you too snuck flats into your clutch bag)
