Cape Of Good Hope - Amy

Topshop Cape c/o High Street Outlet, Dorothy Perkins Stripe Tee, Topshop Button Up Skirt, Ray Ban Wayfarer, Daniel Footwear Suede Boots

Despite the Spring finally rolling around, it doesn't seem like the cape is going anywhere! We may associate the blanket with the cosy layers of Autumn but there are plenty of ways to work a cape into your SS wardrobe too - if done right, these babies are going to be your best friend when it comes to festival fashion and for all the fun inbetween too!

Clever layering techniques are key for the cape this season round and this amazing Topshop cape has come in perfectly handy just for this! I managed to grab this total bargain at High Street Outlet, and although it's tehnically winter wear, it definitely works best over a simple tee. I decided to go for maximum impact of my lower layer to went for a contrasting stripe. I kept it tonal and went for a simple yet statement, season 'must-have' skirt to finish off the outfit to create a slick, yet summery look!

How are you styling your capes this Spring?

Beady Eye - Amy

Bracelet c/o Troll Beads - Silver Bangle, Black and White Bead, Pearl Bead, Black and White Bead

Zara Linen Top, Zara Faux Leather Skirt, Boohoo Black Hat, Daniel Footwear Suede Boots

When it comes to jewellery, I can be pretty picky. Less is definitely more for me and I am possibly the only 20-something that has no idea what I'd expect from an engagement ring so when we were contacted by the gorgeous ladies at Trollbeads, I was really excited to try something a bit different - and what a place to start!

With so much choice, I felt like I wanted to choose something that was really me, the perfect wrist accompaniment to my every day. Sifting through the endless beads was made beautifully easy by the step by step guidance and even more so by the grouped collections of beads. I opted for the bangle template due to it's slick and simple design, much less fussy than a chain and was particularly drawn to this collection of beads.

I can't help but rely on monochrome outfits for my every day wardrobe and with staples as perfect as this linen top and faux leather skirt it's hard to steer away! The lace detail and texture mixing create the perfect amount of interest in an overwhelmingly simple outfit, just like my bangle.

Mad World - Amy

Abstract Geo High Neck Dress c/o Motel Rocks, Topshop Contrast Trim Tee, Ray Ban Glasses c/o Red Hot Sunglasses, Daniel Footwear Patent Boots

With the arrival of the Mad Men finale imminent, it seemed the perfect oppotunity to step back into the sixties! The wardrobe department have done a wonderful job throughout all 7 seasons, though it's no secret that we love a bit of retro , and we have been well and truly inspired.

I wanted to do a more modern look with my 60's vibes - the gorgeous Megan summed up our feelings in this post here about being influenced by past decades and her wise words are some to be remembered when styling certain pieces up! I wanted to do a monochrome look (something rarely seen on Mad Men itself) and this Motel Rocks dress was a great starting point with its abstract print and high neck, mini style. To give it it's noughtie twist, I layered it over a contrast trim tee - this seasons must have updated basic and gives the overall look quite casual.

I couldn't not wear these patent boots as a real salute to the post! They add that feminine sex appeal in just the right dose.

Seventies may be the trend of the season but there's no harm in looking back a little further now and again! Are you 60's or 70's? We can't choose!

Stage Coach - Amy

Dorothy Perkins Leather Jacket, Topshop Teddy Fur Jumper, H&M Stripe Trousers, Ray Ban Clubmasters, Asos Neck Tie, Daniel Footwear Boots

Since when did Coach become cool? Some of our favourite pieces from New York were the shearling and leather beauties included in their AW15 collection and couldn't wait to give it a whirl.

This collection was all about the edgy textures so a leather biker seemed key to begin with and the teddy fur complimented it nicely. Of course, I added my own staple white collar and then the neck tie to add in one of SS15's biggest trends too. I am loving the little bandanas around at the moment as a cute and more casual alternative to the statement necklace.

These incredible silky trousers were the perfect statement piece for the outfit with the neutral colour palette and softer texture against the top half. Stripes also seemed the perfect print to add into this masculine ensemble. I seriously cannot stop wearing these pointed suede boots from Daniel, they are just so bloody comfy and go with EVERYTHING and finished this whole outfit off perfectly.

What do you think of Coach's AW15 collection? I'll certainly be getting the pin badges out in time next season too! Bring back biker chic.

Green Day - Amy

Urban Outfitters Khaki Trench Coat, Topshop Bib Front Blouse, Zara Faux Leather Skirt, Prada Sunglasses c/o Red Hot Sunglasses, Primark Bag, Daniel Footwear Boots

Seeing as it's St. Paddy's Day this week, we thought we'd give a little nod towards the occassion and do a green themed post. Khaki is certainly the green of the season with 70's and military trends taking centre stage and now the temperatures are starting to hit double figures it was the perfect opportunity to get this amazing jacket back out.

I love slick outfits when it comes to khaki so decided to go monochrome with the rest of the outfit. I had completely forgotten how much I love this blouse! Bib fronts and neck ties are also huge for SS15 so it was nice to dig another hidden treasure out of my wardrobe but pair it with a newbie - this faux leather skirt is a ridiculous £25 considering it doesn't look it's price! I had been looking for a decent black leather skirt for age and have definitely lucked out on this!

Whatever you're up to on Tuesday, make sure you make a little time for a guiness! Happy St. Patricks Day :)
