What's in Our Bags?

The contents of your handbag are pretty revealing aren't they? A girl's whole life is tucked up away in these seemingly magical accessories so we thought we'd share what we've got hiding in our brand new spanking Joy Handbags!

Bag space takes on a whole new meaning when you become a mother. Instead of hoarding around your own 'useful' items, you begin to hoard around your own and someone else's too. Changing bags are rarely attractive so I quickly reverted back to leather but after a year of a abuse I was very grateful to receive a new fashionable and sizable bag from Joy. So alongside nappies, change of clothes and childrens entertainment my handbag essentials are effectively a 'changing' bag itself. Flat shoes to escape the pain of heeled boots at a moments notice and then my favourite perfume and lippy to take me from mum to fun in no time at all. My asbolute handbag essential is by far a notebook though, it's always at the least convinient moment that I'll have a brainwave (blog idea/bog roll reminder) and Ivy's quite the artist too.

Our new bags from Joy London are such a great size for an every day bag working in London. I always find I need lot's of space for the extra things you never know will come in handy, they always do! I always pack the essentials such as a little bit of make up and my deodorant for working long days and always some light reading so either a magazine or my Ipad for the tube to keep entertained. Sunglasses are a must to hide tired eyes and my Fujifilm because you never know when you need to snap something beautiful. I also tend to pop to an event after work so some jewellery is always great if you need to jazz up your day outfit to evening wear. What's your handbag essential?

Stage Coach - Amy

Dorothy Perkins Leather Jacket, Topshop Teddy Fur Jumper, H&M Stripe Trousers, Ray Ban Clubmasters, Asos Neck Tie, Daniel Footwear Boots

Since when did Coach become cool? Some of our favourite pieces from New York were the shearling and leather beauties included in their AW15 collection and couldn't wait to give it a whirl.

This collection was all about the edgy textures so a leather biker seemed key to begin with and the teddy fur complimented it nicely. Of course, I added my own staple white collar and then the neck tie to add in one of SS15's biggest trends too. I am loving the little bandanas around at the moment as a cute and more casual alternative to the statement necklace.

These incredible silky trousers were the perfect statement piece for the outfit with the neutral colour palette and softer texture against the top half. Stripes also seemed the perfect print to add into this masculine ensemble. I seriously cannot stop wearing these pointed suede boots from Daniel, they are just so bloody comfy and go with EVERYTHING and finished this whole outfit off perfectly.

What do you think of Coach's AW15 collection? I'll certainly be getting the pin badges out in time next season too! Bring back biker chic.

Amy's Week In Style

When you're a little down, we all have our own ways to pick ourselves up - mine is most definitely buying my feelings. After a really tough week, I wouldn't be surprised to find all of these wonderful things in my wardrobe.. I have picked the worst time to give up clothes ever!

Dorothy Perkins Biker Jacket
I fell in love with the pale blue Zara biker but this is a much more feminine shape, slightly more washed out colour which I prefer and it's cheaper! A statement pastel leather is the perfect way to get ready for summer! Good bye coats!

Models Own Speckled Egg Nail Polishes
As well as clothes, I have also given up chocolate (mad) but these amazing polishes are keeping me I'm check! Similar to the illamasqua ones that came out last year, these beauties create the look of mini eggs which look amazing in the run up to Easter

Topshop Boutique Shirt Dress
There are no words.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight
As you can see, I am evading fashion products by swapping them for beauty products instead. I don't really know anything about perfumes but I know what I like and that is Daisy Eau So Fresh in the day and the original Daisy by night so I couldn't wait to try out the two new fragrances in the Daisy range. Surprisingly enough, this is high on my wish list.

Topshop Lilac Light Ribbed Jumper
That fluffy jumper getting a little too warm? Try this much lighter knitted beauty for the upcoming spring weather.

Boohoo Clutch
Boohoo are my favourite places to shop for clutches as they are such good quality and so affordable. I usually go for quite simple clutches but can't resist this digital-esque print to liven up any spring outfit.

Triangl Swimwear
I could be jumping the gun with the leather, lighter knit and spring time favourite so I know I'm definitely getting too excited when I'm looking at swimwear but have you seen Triangl's swimwear range? You can't help but dream of heat, waves and beaches! Espsically when were stuck in fog. Watch out for a special collab with these guys coming soon!

Zara Pale Blue Sandals
I could buy this style of shoe in every colour going and get wear out of them they are just too easy to wear with a little sock as more of a causal look or with a t-shirt dress at garden parties but pastel blue is the colour of the moment, so it'd just be rude not too.

Femme Fatale - Amy

Primark PU Biker Jacket, Topshop Oversized Grey Check Shirt, Topshop Boutique Jersey Dress, Primark Lace Cami, Primark Pink Fur Stole, Primark Jewel Necklace, Topshop Heart Patterned Tights, Topshop April Chelsea Boot

It was amazing to shoot with Naomi again! I was obviously a little over excited as I haven't had this many elements to an outfit in so long.

Topshop have launched new trend 'Chateau Femme' and this outfit was based on the key pieces for this :) I am obsessed with this Topshop Boutique Jersey Dress at the moment! I've actually worn it backwards to make the most of the wrap over detail and its the pyjama influences from the trend that meant the silk and lace cami was perfect to go underneath.

For a dressed up look with overly girly touches, I went for a light pink fur stole, jewel necklace and heart design tights but to tone it down into more of a day outfit, I went for a neutral coloured check shirt, leather jacket and flat black boots :)

You Can't Ghoul Me - Amy

Boohoo Sleeveless Leather Jacket, Topshop Horror Motif T Shirt, H&M Stripe Roll Neck, Primark Velvet Bodycon Skirt, Boohoo Wide Rim Hat, Ziba Necklaces c/o Mad PR, Betty Jackson Heeled Chelsea Boots c/o Designers at Debehnams

With Halloween fast approaching it seems were not the only ones who are giving our wardrobes a spooky make over as topshop have launched seasonal trend 'ghoul girl' this week. Find everything from feathered capes and bat maxi dresses to daring two pieces and lime green cat ears for your perfect fashion fright!

Sadly, I'm getting to the stage where I can fit into very little new pieces to made do with last years offering of this 'horror' tee. Taking inspiration from pugsley Addams, I layered it over my striped roll neck top from h and m and then mixed in different textures with the velvet skirt and sleeveless leather jacket

To finish, I wanted to go with tough silver jewellery to exaggerate the neck detail, shadowing head wear and a clean and simple heeled black boot :)

Amy's Week In Style (31 Weeks)

I was getting so good at doing these every week! but its been so hectic here on the TSOP front I hope you haven't missed out too much. Now winter is really creeping up on us, it's all about the layering and big warm coats for me and my wardrobe and these would be the perfect additions!

Topshop Check Coat
You will find out in our next outfit post how much I am loving all the Celine inspired pieces out on the high street at the moment and I fell totally in love with this coat the moment I saw it! What a statement!

Topshop Leather Front Jumper
Pale pink seems to be staying around for most of SS too so why not continue to invest? I love the PU contrast on this piece for texture rather than pattern for a sleeker centre piece

Topshop Fluffy Sequin Jumper
It's hard to tell in the photo but this extremely cute jumper has multi coloured sequins sewn into it for the perfect amount of glitz for the colder nights out

Topshop Camo Dress
One of my favourite patterns p modernised with luxe fabrics and boxy shape. Perfect with a white collar and leather jacket in the day or with a grown up coat and barely heels at night.

Topshop Boutique Charcoal Dress
Why do you keep doing this to me boutique! As soon as I get over my latest lusting you bring out and even better version of your classic dress. This weeks offering comes in the form of charcoal grey (sexy) and with the cross over detailing at the front. I don't know how good my will power will be with this one!

Topshop Laddered Pop Sock
It's October so why not add a subtle bit of witchiness into your wardrobe? These are a cute way to get the Halloween vibe without over doing it

Topshop Andromeda Boots
After seeing these on the beautiful Frankie Sarah, I feel they are the perfect combo of my 2 favourite boots Avenger and Anchor for a wonderful collision of cut out and lace up.

Topshop Teddy Fur Pea Coat
It's pink and its fluffy and the fact I'd look like a care bear doesn't stop me from wanting it

Double Trouble - Amy

Primark Denim Shearling Lined Jacket, Topshop Gold Bead Jumper, Topshop Check Shirt, Topshopn Tartan Check Tube Skirt, Topshop Circular Sunglasses, Topshop Rucksack, Heeled Chelsea Boots c/o Designers at Debehnams

Ok, we admit it - we have a tartan addiction. There is something about this print that has us both going crazy this AW and I thought I'd been bad the last few years! It's so wearable and on trend it's impossible not to find something in this cute and classic print, it just so happens we want it all!

Inspired by the Punk move on from the This Is England trend, other than the tartan, I wanted my outfit to be focused around this amazing denim jacket. I love a good denim jacket, especially a vintage one, but I love the shearling versions around as a winter alternative. I was lucky enough to pick this up in Primark for a bargain £15 about 3 or 4 years ago! And it still comes out around this time every year :)

This must have skirt from topshop has flown out of stores - 6 of my gorgeous team have been styling it up in their own way proving just how versatile such a statement piece can be! At £22, this is the most perfectly affordable and easy way to jump on the tartan band wagon!

Because one piece of tartan wasn't enough, I teamed the skirt with a tartan shirt and then finished off with this black gold beaded jumper to add to the more classy punk influence.

Double Trouble - Naomi

c/o Boohoo Leopard Rollneck, Mee Mee Net Top, c/o Boohoo Boutique Kilt, Primark White Satchel, Primark White Sunnies, H&M Silver Chain, c/o New Look Shoes, Topshop Premium Studded Jacket, Primark Silver Rings, Topman Checked Shirt

We seem to have caught the tartan bug and can't get enough of this seasons hottest print! Since punk has started to heavily come through on the high street things have gone up a notch with double tartan taking centre stage! Whether its full on clash or simply a tartan shirt tied around a tartan skirt, make sure your not left out in the cold with this seasons hottest trend.

As usual I was pretty experimental with my look and played around with texture and print. Going for a darker, more punk version of tartan in line with the trends. I layered my Mee Mee cropped net top under my leopard print roll neck and tucked into my Boohoo Boutique kilt it worked perfectly. A heavy leather jacket always toughens the look up especially with the killer studs! To lighten the look I went for my white satchel and white round sunnies so I didn't look like a full on goth! Simple silver detailing on the chain and on my new shoes from New Look which I absolutely love was just enough accessorising for a busy look.

How will you be adapting double tartan into your wardrobe for AW?

Amy's Week In Style (26 Weeks)

Whilst Naomi's having an incredible time at bestival and making the most of the summer sun, I am livin' it up in Oxford planning outfits around my new teddy coat, scarf and Xmas jumper that I have bought this week! Atleast I waited til September, which counts as autumn right? And here's what else I've got my wintery eye on this week!

Topshop Leather Sweatshirt
If only I had £100! This investment piece is perfect for all year round though the structured shape is bang on trend this season and I weirdly enjoy the smell of it for a cheeky added bonus

Topshop Purple Check Skirt
This reminds me of one thing - the greatest film of all time, Clueless. The colours are the perfect mix of pastel and rich ready for autumn and would look incredible with a lilac fluffy jumper, cream roll neck and lilac marl ankle socks for the perfect 90s outfit

Betty Jackson Heeled Chelsea Boot
My 2 favourite pairs of boots combined into some form of mega shoe heaven. Available at Debhenams.com

Topshop Check Blanket Scarf
Check again, sorry and an attraction to those gorgeous autumnal colours again, double sorry! This amazingly thick and long scarf is perfect to go over a long sleeve dress in the evening during the transitional period but I can't wait to snuggle in it during the winter snow too

Let All The Children Boogie - Amy

Primark PU Biker, Topshop Boutique Silk Floral Dress, Topshop Circular Sunglasses, Freedom at Topshop Necklace, Primark Socks, Topshop Anchor Cut Out Boots

If there is any change I have noticed in myself since finding out about my impending motherhood (other than my finally visible baby bump!) it's my new found love for Topshop Boutique. I have always been Topshop's biggest fan but my new hunt for maternity wear has proved to me that their actual maternity range is, quite frankly, terrible and where my wardrobe needs have changed, Boutique has really stepped up to the mark. Rather than spending money on clothes that can only be worn whilst pregnant, I would suggest to any mothers-to-be to invest in and treat themselves to those more expensive pieces while they still can, that actually flatter you and bump, are actually sleek and stylish and not very 'mumsy' and best of all, form a perfect basis for your post-pregnancy wardrobe.

Not only is this statement dress beautiful, it is elasticated in the exact place for it to be flattering through my second trimester and will have no fear getting it out next spring when I am ready to go get out and feel fabulous again. I adore the shape so much and have so much faith in its classic shape and fabric that I'm finding it very hard not to buy the black and burgundy versions too.

The floral pattern of this dress is enough to do most of the talking for the outfit so I have kept all other elements to the outfit very simple sticking to black leather, silver detailing and socks that tone in perfectly.
