To celebrate the 4th July / Independence Day on Saturday we decided to bring out our best stars and stripes for the occasion! Star print has made a huge comeback this season with 70s being EVERYWHERE and it was also seen on Tommy Hilfiger's SS15 collection *major swoon!

I came across this dress by one of my favourite new brands Glamorous on the ASOS site and knew I had to have it. Such an easy shape to wear which is on trend and a great all year long piece. It's also a great day to night dress to be dressed up or down.

For this look I incorporated the blue denim jacket for red, white and blue (of course)! My Fringed Free People bag picked out the blue and red colour perfectly whilst adding a boho touch. Accessorising with my big Free People hat, shades and a jazzy sparkly skinny scarf from ASOS. The weather has been so nice lately so went for my new Clarks Dazzle sandals for comfort and style, they finished of this smart casual look perfectly.

Ok, we admit it - we have a tartan addiction. There is something about this print that has us both going crazy this AW and I thought I'd been bad the last few years! It's so wearable and on trend it's impossible not to find something in this cute and classic print, it just so happens we want it all! 

Inspired by the Punk move on from the This Is England trend, other than the tartan, I wanted my outfit to be focused around this amazing denim jacket. I love a good denim jacket, especially a vintage one, but I love the shearling versions around as a winter alternative. I was lucky enough to pick this up in Primark for a bargain £15 about 3 or 4 years ago! And it still comes out around this time every year :)

This must have skirt from topshop has flown out of stores - 6 of my gorgeous team have been styling it up in their own way proving just how versatile such a statement piece can be! At £22, this is the most perfectly affordable and easy way to jump on the tartan band wagon! 

Because one piece of tartan wasn't enough, I teamed the skirt with a tartan shirt and then finished off with this black gold beaded jumper to add to the more classy punk influence.

We all know that pastel pink is set to be the colour of AW13 and this excites me! Rather than going into the colder season and expect to be covered in burgundy and black the pink makes a fresh change and rebels against the AW rules! 

'PVC skirts and fluffy jumpers are set to be every girls must have for AW' Which is fantastic news for you girly girls out there! PVC skirts are the new update for your standard pencil skirt and make your look instantly feel more sexy and more edgy. 

As soon as this hit down in Topshop last week I was head over heels for it and can't wait to wear it with a fluffy cropped jumper in winter. For now as it's still so warm and transitional, I went for a cropped Motel jersey which is very 50s inspired and looks great with the skirt! I went for white shoes and boots as I thought black looked to harsh with this girly look and for the ultimate jacket to throw on and go my denim vintage jacket which sits with the look perfectly. The sunglasses are from Ebay and are absolutely spot on for this look with the elongated cat eye shape they add drama and attitude to this look!

As if it is April next week?! Me and Naomi had to endure the sleet and freezing temperatures to bring you these posts, yet that still didn't stop me from wearing shorts (nothing does)

On the bright side, the bitter weather does mean I can continue to revel in my ridiculously large jumper collection for a little while longer :) This beautiful jumper from Opening Ceremony is probably the most expensive item of clothing I own - I would never usually spend such a huge amount on just one item but I just fell head over heels in love with it from the moment I saw it and was lucky to receive it as a gift on my 22nd birthday. With this, price really does mean quality, something I've not really ever experienced before but everything from the knit to the intricate embroidery is just perfect and it's definitely more classic than trend so will never get left behind in the fast paced fashion world. I think I'd even go so far in saying that this is my favourite sweater ever, and trust me with a collection the size of mine that really is quite something

It is rare if I ever wear a sweater without a collar, so chose to go with the as equally delicate Topshop Embroidered Collar Blouse for a cute, girly vibe but quickly counteracted this with an oversized Vintage Denim Jacket that I picked up £10 in Rokit in Covent Garden. To keep quite a sleek feeling to the outfit, I finished the look with my staple Topshop Boutique Silk Shorts (I definitely have no fear of mixing navy and black) and Topshop Ant boots, that also sport a gorgeous design on the buckles to tie in all the little details.
