As we're not quite ready to get rid of summer just yet, we've been finding ways to get our favourite SS15 pieces into our winter wardrobes, most notably our bohemian tees. Lucky for us, the seventies trend shows no sign of wavering in the upcoming season and it's just a case of layering for whatever the weather may be!

I promised myself I'd resist the outerwear this season and then Glamorous go and bring out this beauty and I couldn't keep my mitts off it! It is so warm and snuggly I am already looking forward to winter walks, PSL in hand, wrapped up in this coat! This thrown over my favourite summer outfit was the easiest seasonal wardrobe change ever and works perfectly!

To give the outfit another transitional twist, I added tights (wah!) and my new babies from the latest, and last, Orla Kiely X Clarks collab! And what a finale! The final collection went on sale on Friday and it's safe to say I need them all!

To celebrate the 4th July / Independence Day on Saturday we decided to bring out our best stars and stripes for the occasion! Star print has made a huge comeback this season with 70s being EVERYWHERE and it was also seen on Tommy Hilfiger's SS15 collection *major swoon!

I came across this dress by one of my favourite new brands Glamorous on the ASOS site and knew I had to have it. Such an easy shape to wear which is on trend and a great all year long piece. It's also a great day to night dress to be dressed up or down.

For this look I incorporated the blue denim jacket for red, white and blue (of course)! My Fringed Free People bag picked out the blue and red colour perfectly whilst adding a boho touch. Accessorising with my big Free People hat, shades and a jazzy sparkly skinny scarf from ASOS. The weather has been so nice lately so went for my new Clarks Dazzle sandals for comfort and style, they finished of this smart casual look perfectly.

With bohemian vibes for SS15 dominating the high street details like embroidery and embellishment are fast becoming staples in our wardrobes whether it's on tops, dresses or accessories it's everywhere and I for one could not be happier!

I picked up this dress from Beyond Retro a few weeks ago and I absolutely love all the detail on it, I love floaty bohemian dresses and this is the one for me! I layered it with a green crochet waistcoat from favourites Glamorous for a spring ready look.

With all the fringing and suede around at the moment, we seem to be forgetting one of the other key pieces to the 70's boho trend - the embroidered dress. These beautifully detailed summer staples are a great way yo carry the trend from the transitional stages of the season right through to the height of summer and beyond as they are super easy to layer up and down as needed. 

I fell in love with the chambray material of this dress and the elaborate stitching on the front, hem and cuffs are seriously show stopping. In the summer, this dress will be perfect with a little wasistcoat so none of that embroidery is lost but as the weather's still a little temperamental I wanted to wear something a bit heavier. The patchwork denim textures work perfectly with the chambray and add a slight urban feel to the folk style dress. I then added a vintage scarf to continue the 70's/tonal themes of the outfit.

Military is the trend we are absolutely loving going into Spring and a great transitional look. You can adapt it to your wardrobe as you please by adding in statement pieces like trench coats and khaki or go all out head to toe barrack babe!

For my look I styled up the Miss Guided Khaki shirt dress but wore it with my vintage suede skirt with it to give it an edge. I absolutely love this trench from Glamorous and it injects the perfect amount of military into any spring outfit and the colour is perfect. Lastly adding a playful edge with my favourite snakeskin boots and a cute khaki clutch. I went for a bold statement Moxham necklace with this look to add a tough edge with the leather.
