Double Trouble - Naomi

c/o Boohoo Leopard Rollneck, Mee Mee Net Top, c/o Boohoo Boutique Kilt, Primark White Satchel, Primark White Sunnies, H&M Silver Chain, c/o New Look Shoes, Topshop Premium Studded Jacket, Primark Silver Rings, Topman Checked Shirt

We seem to have caught the tartan bug and can't get enough of this seasons hottest print! Since punk has started to heavily come through on the high street things have gone up a notch with double tartan taking centre stage! Whether its full on clash or simply a tartan shirt tied around a tartan skirt, make sure your not left out in the cold with this seasons hottest trend.

As usual I was pretty experimental with my look and played around with texture and print. Going for a darker, more punk version of tartan in line with the trends. I layered my Mee Mee cropped net top under my leopard print roll neck and tucked into my Boohoo Boutique kilt it worked perfectly. A heavy leather jacket always toughens the look up especially with the killer studs! To lighten the look I went for my white satchel and white round sunnies so I didn't look like a full on goth! Simple silver detailing on the chain and on my new shoes from New Look which I absolutely love was just enough accessorising for a busy look.

How will you be adapting double tartan into your wardrobe for AW?

Naomi's Week In Style

First of all sorry for the lack of these week in style posts! I think I missed one last week due to fashion week and being super busy so I do apologise! I hope you enjoyed our fashion week posts I am going to do a best in show post over the weekend so keep your eyes peeled next week for that. The weather has dropped dramatically since the last time I did one of these so my brain is definitely in AW mode and the winter wardrobe is in full swing. BRING ON THE LAYERS!

1. Topshop Unique Sheepskin Jumper

OMG I am still absolutely swooning over the Topshop Unique AW product and would like one of everything please! I love the drama and shape of this gorgeous sheepskin jumper which also comes In black. At £250 the price range of the collection was very expensive but these are investments which are sure to last you season after season and still look fantastic.

2. Topshop Tartan Mini Kilt

Anything tartan for me this season and this is super cute!! Perfect to throw on with a fluffy jumper or crisp white shirt with your winter coat and look fab. A great and staple AW piece that ensures you are l. Trend.

3. Topshop Platform Boots

These are super sexual and I have grown bias to a platform boot since wearing my Argo boots every single day. I find this sole really comfortable as it supports your foot and still look effin cool so everyone's a winner! I also think the snake print is perfect for a bit of texture/ interest to your feet.

4. ASOS Checked Jacket & Skirt

This is super premium and slick and such an a easy print to throw on with a roll neck and look amazing. ASOS are really good for two piece suits and co-ords and they really are fantastic for those days you need to look great and don't have time to think to much about your outfit. A great buy that can be worn nearly all year in its light fabric.

5. Topshop Yellow Coat

Since seeing a cool girl a LFW with the same coat and she looked epic I need it In my wardrobe. The colour really pops and makes a change for burgundy and black coats. It also looks A-amazing with red tartan and fishnets and I'm totally digging 'punk' for AW so it's a perfect addition to my wardrobe!

6. ASOS Patent Shirt

Anything Patent and PVC I am digging and casually made a joke that I need a full body PVC suit for this season...  Not!! But I do dig it and think the texture ooks amazing with knitwear. This shirt is fantastic for the this is England and punk trends that are around and think it would look amazing with the tartan skirt and yellow coat in this collage. SUPER SEXY!

7. Topshop Leather Dungarees

I have grey dungarees which I wear to death for work as they are so easy to wear and look great in the day. I feel I need a upgrade and these are the replacement! I think they would be super flattering and will look great casual with a jumper and boots or more slick with a shirt and a thin heel. A staple piece that will be sure to get lots of wear especially if your in a busy job and need to look cool.

8. Topshop Silver Chains

I'm taking on punk head first and think this necklace from Topshop is a really good one! I like that its thick and statement and I prefer silver as it looks less tacky and more premium. Would love to wear this with tartan trousers, sheer black top and white blazer in a premium punk look.

9. Topshop Quilted Silver Clutch

Great to go with my punk looks for the day or for night and its a gorgeous leather. Really soft with quilting and silver detailing its a killer clutch to go with any killer outfit! Perfect to toughen up any outfit in head to toe styling.

Punk's Not Dead - Naomi

Primark Checked Dress C/O Frankie, Topshop Premium Feather Cape, DIY Studded Short, Topshop Corset Belt, Topshop Wooden Heel Boots

After the recent Met Ball the fashion world has gone crazy for 'Punk'! With the mixed reactions of some of the outfit choices and designers bringing out their own punk collections in honour, who would of thought it would of caused so much controversy! To us it looked like ALOT of fun and a chance to be experimental- which we are all for at TSOP!

As usual we decided to take our own spin on things and take punk into our own hands! We have got a feeling it's not the last time we will be sporting fishnets, checks and studs this season (or at least we hope not!)

We had so much fun with this look in our own version of the Met Ball! After all that is what our blog is about us having fun with new trends and ideas, we hope you can be inspired by this look even if it's just by the more wearable pieces checks and studding.

For this look I went for a dressed up punk look- rocking Frankie's Primark checked dress which was perfect! Layering it with my DIY studded collar shirt and my peacock feather cape which I just love! I wore a killer pair of black high boots and a corset belt to finish it off. Making sure I got my favourite elements of punk into my look; checks, crisp white shirt, feathers and leather!

I wonder what the theme will be next year? I'm hoping for 20's after the recent Gatsby craze! We are also hoping there's an invite for TSOP in the post ;-)

Punk's Not Dead - Amy

Vintage Check Shirt via Rokit, Topshop Pearl Crop Top, Topshop Boutique Silk Shorts, Topshop Lace Trim Cycling Shorts, Topshop Belt, Anne Summers Fish Net Tights, Topshop Aubrey Boots

I never, ever thought I'd say that I have used (current day) Madonna as fashion inspiration - but that just goes to show that inspiration appears in the strangest of places! It was hard not to take inspiration from the punk theme Met Ball a couple of weeks ago as the star studded bash was full of incredible and unlikely outfits and there is nothing I like more than seeing people push their boundaries with their wardrobes and get involved in a theme even if it isn't necessarily they're signature style.

This is definitely not an outfit that I would wear to a ball, punk themed or not, but the idea was to have a more glamorous take on grunge. I've been looking for an excuse to blog last Christmas's 'it' top from Topshop, but with a more updated/non seasonal look and this seemed perfect. I've worn the shirt over the top (tucked the collar in so it looks cleaner and less casual) and belted it with a leather belt so it gives me a figure, rather than open and oversized, which again, looks more grown up.

I chose to keep the rest of my outfit solid black, as to not distract from the gorgeous pearls or the punk element of the check, so decided to play with textures rather than pattern, colour or print. The silk shorts tie in with the more glamorous feel to the outfit and combined with the lace trim cycling shorts (underneath) and the fish nets definitely says sexy rather than scary. No outfit of mine is complete without a black boot, so I chose my black cut out Aubrey to tie in with the gold buckle of the belt.
