Sci-Fi Season - Amy

Zara Coat, Topshop Metallic Rollneck, Topshop Girlfriend Jeans, Marc Jacobs Sunglasses, Asos Embellished clutch, Clarks Boots

Tis' already the season for all things shiny with metallic sweeping it's way into every fashionistas wardrobe this Autumn. We wanted to show you how it can work in your every day wadrobes - there is no better way than getting some dazzle into direr autumn days with understated silvery tones, so don't feel like you need to wait until party season!

The polo neck is certainly the shape of the moment so this metallic Topshop number was the perfect piece to start with. I tried to keep the rest of the outfit super simple with just a plain black coat ('cape' sleeves allow the metallic to pop out a little more) my new favourite jeans and little black ankle boots. Sometimes less is definitely more but I had to add a statement clutch and a little fur collar too for interest!

How are you showing your shiny side?

Brownie Points - Amy

Orla Kiely x Uniqlo Heattech Top, Topshop Cord Dress, Marc Jacobs Sunglasses c/o Red Hot Sunglasses, Vintage Bag, Clarks x Orla Kiely Bibi Shoes

Nothing else says new season more than warming autumnal colour palettes and brown seems to be having a moment this year. Camels and tans still feature heavily on the high street but mixed with darker rusts and chestnut tones in thick textures like suedes and cords which are just perfect for exciting layering.

For this tonal outfit, I decided to pick one print and one texture to pull together to give each maximum impact in the outfit. This Topshop cord dress is spot on for transitioning weather/wardrobes working with t-shirts under, jumpers over or simply on it's own. With the cord as a base, I added my Orla roll neck underneath to add hints of other colours to break up the look. With a strong Orla vibe already occuring, I had to go with my one brown pair of shoes, my Bibi's, which work perfectly for an ultra feminine look which compliments the brownie colour palette

Will you brave the brown this season?

Zigazig Ah - Amy

Asos Zig Zag Jumper, Zara Geometric Trousers, Marc Jacobs Sunglasses c/o Red Hot Sunglasses, Next Faux Fur Bag, Clarks x Orla Kiely Dotty Shoes

It's no secret that I love a stripe but for AW we are literally shaking our stripes up a little! The zig zag seems to be all over the high street at the moment in seventies boho styles but it's carrying on into the new season too. I'm sorry to say I have already started on my new knitwear (even if it is August!) and this Zig Zag jumper from Asos is my absolute faveee - the colours are so fun but spot on for the chillier weather approaching and the modern/retro vibe slots in with the rest of my wardrobe perfectly

Not ever being content with just one jazzy pattern, I decided to go as bright as possible with yellow patterened trousers and bought it all the autumal texture with the faux fur bag and pony hair Orlas

Have you seen any zigzags that have spiked you attention this season?

The Cardigans - Amy

Topshop Suede Cardigan, Zara Stripe Dress, Marc Jacobs Sunglasses, Orla Kiely Betty Sandals

Honestly, I think this is the piece of SS15. Topshop have managed to combine all the key trends into one blinkin' amazing cardigan and create it in 2 colour-ways to suit every taste. Suede, crochet and fringing are all big this season to it's no wonder that together they create a mega statement.

I have to admit I love both of the colourways, but the brighter of the two (see Naomi style the Brown tomorrow!) is something truely special. I have been popping it over everything from a white tee and jeans to patterened tunics like this striped jersey. I love pulling a colour out to match up and in this outfit I decided to go for the red, getting in a lip and in the flower on my Bettys. It genuinely puts a smile on my face every time I pop it on, I just adore it!

How would you style the crochet cardigan?

Artificial Flowers - Amy

Vintage Suede Jacket, Topshop Boutique Silk Floral Dress, Cos Mock Shirt, Marc Jacobs Sunglasses, Florian Red Leather Bag, Topshop Magnum Boots

It's not very often we bag a complete bargain, but when the absolutely beautiful Topshop Boutique Fable Print pieces went into the sale, we couldn't resist snapping them up! I am a massive fan of boutique when it comes to a little indulgent shopping and this floral collection has been one of my favourite's in a long while with it's current yet timeless feel.

I went for a signature look, with the t-shirt dress and collar combo, but layered my suede jacket over it for a real SS15 look (it helps that it goes with absolutely everything!)

Do you love Topshop Boutique as much as we do? Let us know if you find any bargains as good as ours!

And It Was All Yellow - Amy

Another 8 London Jumper, Motel Rocks Yellow Skirt, Naomi's Clutch, Marc Jacobs Sunglasses c/o Red Hot Sunglasses, Clarks Orla Kiely 'Betty' Sandals

Now Spring is really here (kind of), it's time to get the pastel palettes out! Starting with my absolute favorite, Yellow. I know yellow can be pretty hard to wear sometimes, especially for particular skin tones, but sometimes brighter can be better!

While were still inbetween temperatures, this Another 8 Sweat Top is just perfect. The white trim keeps the top nice and light but the dusty yellow makes the look much for subtle which is helpful when there's not black to break up the outfit. To contrast, I went for a bright pastel yellow skirt - again, not as bright as it could be but still creates maximum impact.

I cant stop wearing my Orla Betty's, they are just so damn comfy! The yellow of the daisy ties them in with this outfit perfectly and I love the tan and maroon tones against the yellow for a really 60's vibe

Dare to wear yellow this season, it's scientifically proven to make you happier so what's not to love?! Make sure you show us your looks by tagging @twoshoesonepair on twitter and instagram :)
