Summer Essentials - Amy

Zara T-Shirt Dress, H&M Sunglasses, Freedom at Topshop Eagle Necklace, Topshop Backpack, Asos Pool Sliders

Of course my key Summer Essential is a T-Shirt dress! This total beaut from Zara was only £19.99 and is the perfect way to nail the tropics trend without it being too OTT. Chuck it over a swimsuit on the beach or wear with mid heels and a clutch to a bbq, this is all your summer needs in one perfect package.

I'm really feeling monochrome swimwear this summer, especially whilst I shed the remaining baby weight. It looks much classier than brights, regardless of shape. Watch out for our Triangl Swimwear review that's coming soon and Beach Cafe is most certainly my first point of call for everything holiday related this summer.

I seem to have gone shoe crazy the last few weeks and it's pretty safe to say the best dressed award this SS14 goes to my tootsies. Despite going for trend led pieces, I've also gone for comfort and compiled a quick run down of the footwear I just cannot stop wearing (sorry, no cleated sole platforms in here)

Slip Ons
Ironically, this is a major throwback for me as I was one of those unfortunate teenagers that lived in my checked Vans slip ons. Now back and far more fashionable, I've fallen in love (again) with the easiest shoe to wear and have added quite a few pairs to my wardrobe - my favourites being these leopard pair from Daniel Footwear which really proves quality is worth the extra pennies.

Demi Heels
The heeled sandal just got so much more accessible. I'd have worn these all last summer too if I thought I could cope in a heel so the shorter, chunkier heels have made my dreams come true. Wear with and without a sock for a cute, girly summer vibe. Find your perfect style in barely there, cut out boot, mule or jelly form.

Slides
What better than a 'grab and go' attitude and still look awesome? Whether they're pool slides or Birkenstock dupes, be sure to find your perfect pair of 'ugly' shoes this summer as I can gurantee they'll barely leave your feet.

I can talk clothes for hours but when it comes to beauty bits and bops, I get a little bit lost. I am most definitely a creature of habit and it takes a while for me to branch out and try anything new. This will be why my perfume collection consists of Daisy, Daisy Eau So Fresh and now Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine edition. The newest Daisy family member literally smells of summer and I cant help but love it as much as the original.

I suffer from quite oily skin and this incredible toner water has balanced out my face. Believe the hype!

The wonderful people at Look magazine sent me some samples of the new Frizz Ease range and although I didn't get on with the shampoo and conditioner, I don't know how I lived without this semi-permanent styling spray. I use it just before blow drying my hair and it eliminates all those annoying fly aways without being heavy on your hair. Perfect control for those drying summer days

I say I'm a creature of habit but one thing I cannot settle on is a moisturiser so I jumped at the chance to try this Origins number. The smell is incredible and it doesn't leave my face feeling too oily like a lot of others and with its energising properties my face looks and feels so much better.

I love a bright lip but this summer I have been experimenting with more neutral shades and have found a happy medium between pop and pale with this Revlon lipstick.
