If you told me last season that I would be sporting a pastel pink tonal look for AW I would of thought it was a joke. Pastels in winter! Everyone gets scared of light colours over AW but you can wear them all year when adapted to the season. Pastels have distracted us from the fact it's getting dark and gloomy outside by reminding ourselves of summer... Clever!
If you haven't already caught the pink bug then its only a matter of time. The soft pinks and luxurious textures make even the Tom boy of us girls fall head over heels into pink wonderland. Such an easy way to look slick and premium in a head to toe pink ensemble. Stick to clean premium pieces like a midi skirt or tailored trouser and add in texture like the key fluffy jumper or sheer shirt with of course the infamous pink coat which every girl needs this season!
My trick to not look too girly but to carry this look off with a panache is to add a tough black boot and leather. The contrast is just stunning and what makes the look wearable for me in the day and to work. Although for events do follow the fash pack and go for white or silver shoes and accessories to keep in line with the pastels but still add some interest.
This sliced pink midi from Topshop is stunning and I love the way it moves when I walk, it looked great teamed with a fluffy pink jumper! My pink coat hasn't arrived yet hence the lack of the main attraction but it will come out to play over the next few weeks! A simple look accessorised with my holographic clutch and studded cat eye glasses and finished of with my buckle boots to toughen the look up.
Im certainly won over by pink this season- are you?
