Dorothy Perkins Leather Biker, 'Stella' White Shirt Dress c/o Motel Rocks, Zara Polo Neck Top, Topshop Jamie Jeans, Primark Leopard Cross Body Bag, Topshop Socks, Missguided Heels
If there is something that has been missing from my wardrobe for ages it's a white shirt dress. It's no secret that I love a good crisp white collar under just about everything and I have been raving over my Topshop Boutique shirt dresses for well over a year now but it has been impossible to find that perfect combination between the two - something I desperately needed, and knew would be a firm staple in my everyday-wear.
And thisss is why I love Motel so much, once again coming up trumps with that perfect dress. It's in a nice light fabric making it suitable all year around and the layering options feel endless! Open, closed, over, under.. and being such a clean and simple piece it comes with absolutely everything.
For this look, I wanted to make the dress the centre of attention (rightly deserved!) so wanted it out on show, not under a jumper, and with black and grey tones to really make the most of the bright white. I am loving the look of dresses over jeans/skinny trousers this season, especially with a heel for that perfect day-to-night look but the ripped knee and leather bring the perfect amount of casj to the look. I finished off with a statement bag to add a bit of print to mix into the texture-based outfit.
