Oriental Bloom - Amy

Topshop Boutique Silk Shirt Dress, Topshop Floral Top, Topshop Floral Bodycon Dress, Necklace c/o , Boohoo Clutch Bag, Topshop Aubrey Boots

If you hadn't had chance to check out the incredible cherry blossom in the Topshop windows you really should. Even though it's not traditionally christmassy, it works so well - I wish I'd been a part of installing it all! But the scheme has also inspired festive trend 'Tokyo Bloom' - the most sleek and stylish way to outfit build for all those cocktail dates coming up.

This trend is all about minimalistic dressing, luxe fabrics and jacquards, Chinese florals and origami shapes - basically everything that shouldn't really be involved in a heavily pregnant persons wardrobe so I'm looking forward to another (and better!) attempt at this after Christmas!

I have concentrated on the layering in this outfit to get th look, rather than the fabrics but managed to sleek it up with my favourite AW13 wardrobe piece - the silk boutique shirt dress. I should be being paid for plugging this as I still cannot stop going on about how amazing they have been and this is just another way of wearing the piece, open as outerwear.

I wanted to contrast the two floral pieces and have done so with shape (batwing and bodycon) and colours (pastel and black based) and then finished off with inspiration from the cherry blossom window with a couple of hits of bright pink :)
