And so we have been told that 'Red' is the colour of the season! I usually shy away from red unless it's in folk style prints and cute dresses so naturally when covering the colour my outfit is adapted to my style. Whether you go head to toe colour block or go for a statement jumper you can be as brave as you like with this trend.

Since buying this cute dress from Zara I am totally 'red over heels'. I love colour and actually the vibrant red hues work well against brunette hair! The red cups at Starbucks came out this week so this post is not just on trend but a serious dedication to our coffee addiction- who else is with us on this?!

I styled up the Zara dress with my Beyond Retro vintage cape of dreams! I could only dream to find something like this so I was over the moon when finding it at the brick lane store- I love the detailing and amazing buckles! It looked great over the dress for a folk esq look. Accessorised with my black fringed clutch, black hat and black lace up suede boots from Topshop.

Are you braving the scarlet tones this season?

As a self-confessed Starbucks addict, it fills me with great pleasure that the Red Cups are finally back. It's amazing that a paper cup fills me with as much excitement as the Coca Cola advert did when I was a child but any sign that Christmas is coming is good enough for me, just even better when it means Gingerbread Lattes.

As homage to our caffiene addiction, we wanted to do some playful, red tonal outfits to make what is quite the occassion in our calendar. The chill is really starting to set in so this was the perfect excuse to take my amazing new coat out for a spin. The statement red gives off that real wintery (chistmassy, cough) feel and the soft fluffy texture adds to the warm fuzzy feeling any coat should give you!

Something I love nearly as much as coffee is this faux fur tee from H&M. Layered over a roll neck and high waisted shorts creates interesting juxtaposition and is pretty snug too. All black accessories toughen up the candy cane coloured look for a more wearable, every day outfit.
