The best thing about this coat is it's the perfect accompaniment to any of your evening plans. As it smart and slick as it is, it's ideal for keeping you cosy on those chilly winter evenings between cocktail bars by simply adding a little leather belt around it.

With all the christmas festivities over, it's important to keep a little sparkle in your life so I chose to go out in this glittery velvet number from a few years ago - it always seems spot on for this kind of year. I updated it with a collar to give the skater shape a more grown up feel and finished the monochrome look off with a statement clutch for some sutble colour and a bit of fun :)

Amy's Week In Style (23 Weeks)

Well, I've tried to put off doing a week in style that screams Autumn Winter for the last couple of weeks but alas, I can hold back no longer and if the burgundy based colour story isn't a big enough give away, the coat and sock inclusion will - AW13, I am ready.

I spent all of last year trying to find that perfect everyday coat, and managed to find one at the end of the season (fluorescent boucle from first ever TSOP shoot 'Lichtenstein'!) but this year, I have found my prize and it's not even September. Perfect shape for playing with all trends, black so goes with everything and £58. I love you.

Topshop Martina Geek Shoe

These are going to be huge this AW and are already available in a tonne of colours and styles. I need something to showcase my wonderful sock collection when wearing my heeled cut out boots becomes too much so the fact these are flat is an even bigger excuse to buy.

Why I've only suddenly decided I need a scallop collar I'm not sure, but I do.

Topshop Tartan Tube Skirt

My favourite high waisted tartan shorts are out of the question this year but tartan is back and bigger than ever and so far this seems like the best replacement.
