There is nothing better than a floaty, feminine, floral dress on a hot summer's day is there? Whatever the occassion (or not, sometimes) these easy to wear, beautiful pieces are as much of a must-have as a jug of Pimms. This particular favourite of mine was in the Zara sale back in January and was an absolute steal at £12! Although it was a dark based flora andl from a winter collection, the sheer fabric and open back makes this suited to all seasons. The thing I love most about this dress are the colours -shades of pink to red and lavendery blues are my favourite this season.

Because of the dark base colour, I wanted to lighten up the outfit with my outerwear but it needed to be light in this somewhat muggy weather. This Topshop Boutique Shirt dress which I have raved over in far too many posts was the exact match I needed yet again, and pulled the same colour out of the flowers perfectly. Opened and belted, shirt dresses a life saver for summer layering.

I finished off with this incredible 3D clutch, which I had treated myself too for the Company Style Blogger Awards but just couldn't wait to use it! and a fedora to match it :)
