Ever seen a piece of clothing on TV and just had to have it? This shirt was on Kate Garraway of all people and I just fell in love. I love a good collared blouse, I love a bright print and I love a good spot - so this is pretty much perfect! Spots never go out and are a great and easy-to-wear way to add interest to an outfit.

I wanted to go for an everyday look so went for jeans to start and then for a little bit of a pattern clash with a pinstripe blazer. Because the spots are so bold and the stripes quite subtle, this combination can work. To continue on the casual vibe, I went for trainers and a bigger day-time hand bag to complete the look.

If there is anything that has been a total hero piece in my wardrobe this AW it's the black roll neck. My H&M jersey number has served me well through the transitional stages but this thin knit black jumper is my new best friend. Simple yet versatile, this bad boy really does go with EVERYTHING so we thought we'd show you how we'd wear this dressed up and down.

During the day, it's all about wrapping up in lots of layerrrs. Dresses over jeans are fast becoming my go to at the mo (see here also) and this striped jersey dress is the best way to break up the solid black. Stan smiths and a beanie create a really relaxed and casual vibe for this outfit, perfect for a day of running errands, or that all important Christmas shopping!

Skip a few hours, and you can rely on your favourite piece to turn into the easiet evening outfit too by pairing it with a statement skirt (I went for fur trim, seasonal fave, but anything printed would work) and finished off with a smart jacket and black heeled boots

The countdown to LFW is on, which can only mean one thing - AW is coming, hoorraayyy! Don't get me wrong, July was lush but with the turn of August came a turn of Autumn and it's got me reinstating my knitwear and coat collection into my wardrobe (not that I needed much of an excuse)

Anyway, to show you all that a little self restraint, I've left the chunky aran knits and fur bombers for a little bit later and I have done 4 'ways to wear' outfits with coats and jackets that are suitable for this inbetweeny bit of season.

The first being this trench - light weight, structered and damn right sexy (even with clothes on underneath) The trench allows you to layer as when it's necessary which is perfect for the unpredictable weather. The collar but cute motif gives off a fun 'back to school' feel to this outfit, which is the perfect pick me up for worktime wardrobes after being abroad.

Who'd have thought the flasher mac would gain popularity? me neither but it definitely works! The beige tones means its ok to go super jazzy with the rest of you outfit but finish it off simply and sleekly. The 'normcore' trend is still going strong this season so simple and sleek everything works too. This has turned into my 'go-to' coat recently, as has this combo of striped M&S dress with my Superstars2. Literally the easiest outfit run around in day-to-day but a pop of lip colour finishes the look off with the perfect amount of class.
