LFW AW14 - Day 3

Beyond Retro Dress, Jacket & Clutch
Choies Green Skirt, Boohoo Boots, Forever 21 Sunglasses
Corlette Belt

Featured in photos- Gemma Talbot, Arabella Golby, Maddie Killick, Deighas

Day 3 of London fashion week and we finally saw some sun! It felt like Spring is on the horizon and everyone was outside enjoying the winter rays! I thought I would bring some florals to Somerset House and I was so pleased with my outfit choice! I was lucky enough to get snapped by Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire.... I feel like my life is complete!!

I went for Beyond Retro vintage dress, jacket and clutch. I love how the colours all compliment eachother yet it's slightly mis-matchy. I wanted to add some volume to the outfit so wore my Choies full skirt which I absolutely adore the shape and clinched it in with a black Waistbelt. I wore my new favourite shoes from Boohoo which felt looked great with the skirt and of course a pair of sunnies which were needed for the bright sun! The last photo is from LFW Daily paper which I was lucky enough to be featured in - I am over the moon about it!

I hope you have enjoyed my LFW outfits, I certainly enjoyed this season and soaked up the wonderful London atmosphere and style!

The full skirt has made a huge come back this season and there's no suprise why! It looks super chic even paired with a jersey and converse- it's a quick staple piece to guarantee you are on trend and making a statement. It's practicality with the longer length makes it perfect for day wear and I know I will definitely be sporting one at London Fashion Week next month. Look to my images for inspiration you don't have to be a trend follower to wear this look, just be simple and let the skirt do the talking. Team your statement piece with a jersey, cropped jumper and leather jacket for a clean stylish outfit that's SS14 ready. Go for a staple bag and shoe that compliments your look- if you are wearing a jersey tee go for a dressy shoe and clutch to capture the street style vibe and get the smart/casual balance. Key style icons for this look are Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo who carry of casual chic with a panache so take note girls... The trick is to look effortless!

This is my 2nd look which I was very excited to shoot mainly because of the amazing skirt! The colour is vivid and the shape is really structured which creates impact and it's also a massive bargain! Choies is really good for cheap but on trend pieces and the top is also from there! This look is perfect for dinner or a party being premium, on trend and chic! I accessorised the look with a simple black belt, black patent clutch and a jewelled drop earring. A clean black heel with silver tips and white blazer helped finish the look of perfectly, this look is a perfect transitional outfit from winter to spring- so make sure you invest into a full skirt this spring!

I hope you have enjoyed my 2 full skirt looks this weekend and make sure you enter my Ziba giveaway to win £50 voucher! Details at the top of this post... Good luck!

Sweet Nothing AW13 Lookbook - Amy

Look 1 - Vintage Liquorice Allsorts Hand Knitted Jumper via Ebay, Marks and Spencer's White Shirt, H&M Striped Bodycon Dress, Primark Circular Sunglasses, Boohoo Patent Clutch, Primark Socks, Topshop Anchor Cut Out Boots

Look 2 - Topshop Jazzies Jumper, Holographic Skirt c/o Choies, Boohoo Off White Blazer, H&M Sunglasses, Zara Holographic Clutch, Topshop Gilmore Shoes

If there is anything I like more than an overly sugary sweet treat, it's novelty knitwear - so imagine my excitement when I saw that 2 key sources to my daily happiness had combined into a fashion trend. Classic sweets are appearing in print form all over the high street at the moment as a fun take on the sickly sweet, candy colour palettes we are seeing this autumn. I'm all up for a bit of fun but I have decided to show you how you can slick back this trend so it comes across as quirky rather than kiddy.

Look 1 - I have been desperate to share my pride and joy with you ever since the retro sweet craze started to appear but what with all the heat waves I felt it was a little inappropriate until September. This is arguably one of my favourite jumpers ever (I have so many) and I will always manage to wangle it into a trend as for me and my style, this is a wardrobe staple. Inspiration for the other pieces in this outfit have come from the sweets themselves but I didn't want the look to be too colour crazy so went with black and white stripes for a bottom half with the bodycon complimenting the oversized, grungey style jumper. I then played up the pops of colour using accessories like my clutch and socks and smartened up the look with a pointy white collar, clean and fresh sunglasses and a heeled boot.

Look 2 - As the latest addition to my knitwear collection, I cannot wait to see how many outfit combinations I can achieve with this beautiful jumper from Topshop. This piece is a lot thinner, but high quality wool, a very flattering and fitted shape and the Jazzies themselves are created using tiny little metallic gems to create quite a glamorous and feminine feel, quite different from the centre piece from Look 1. As holographic materials are so big right now, I really wanted to play up the metallic sheen from the Jazzies with this show-stopping, pencil skirt from Choies, clutch from Zara and caps on my pointed shoes. As all the shapes are incredibly clean in this outfit, I went for my slouchier Boohoo blazer to make the outfit feel more wearable and as it's white, it also let the jumper really stand out too.

Will you be picking (and mixing) to wear the sweet trend this season?

Since buying my holographic clutch from Zara a few weeks back I have become obsessed with everything holographic! Like the magpie I am I get drawn into shiny and unusual fabrics and
accessories, so I thought what better way to show them off than by doing a post dedicated to 'holographic'

The t-shirt is by Design By Numbers and is unisex. I love the unusual prints on them and love the fact they are unisex and that I can share it with my boyfriend. I imagined it with something metallic and think it looks wonderful with my Choies holographic skirt which I am in love with! The fit is really flattering with the front split and love the holographic pockets on the back, It's great with a premium look and so easy to throw on with a jersey tee and boots and make a statement! buy me here!

To make the look really premium and slick I added a white shirt underneath and a big statement necklace from Topshop which is my new favourite! I maybe went a bit holographic mad adding my holographic clutch but thinks it looks really great with the outfit and matching! Finally finished of with my Topshop Reflect sandal that have a cool silver heel and always work with clean looks.

I love this outfit and felt super confident, I am thinking this would be great for LFW with an oversized white long blazer! What do you guys think of this look?
