Garden Party: Part 2 - Amy

So I thought it was about time I got my second Garden Party installment to you all! As I said before, florals are my go to for any summery look but rather than getting too fancy with layers, I decided I wanted to play around with just one focal piece for this outfit - the shoulder cut out dress.

This floral print was huge last summer, and worked so well Topshop have resurrected it in the form of a skater skirt this season. Shoulder cut outs are still going strong so even though this dress is last years, it fits very comfortably into SS13 and is interesting enough to use as a centre piece, but with just about enough room to have some fun with accessories to liven it up even more for that really ootd party look :)

This dress is gorgeous dress is perfect to throw on during the day but for a party, more is sometimes more and I wanted the skirt to be fuller so simply put the tutu underneath to get my dream party dress. I then chose a statement necklace, that wouldn't be too ootd against the pattern of the dress. The colours that shine on the necklace in certain lights pick out the pale pinks in the sunglasses, shoes and flowers on the dress so all tie in together nicely. For an added girly pastel colour, I went for lilac socks. The white frill detail also match to the belt and tutu to keep the outfit lightly outlined :)

It wouldn't be an outfit of mine without something to rough it up a bit so I finished with my oversized denim jacket from Rokit - the perfect contrast to all the girly bits.
