It is no secret that our favourite show from London Fashion Week was the flower power extravaganza from House Of Holland and there was no way we were waiting til next Spring to give the trend a whirl. To be honest, it was lovely to break up the heavy coats and faux furs with something a little more suited to this dragged out summer and get the last of the brights in before everything comes a bit bleak.

I love buying new clothes, but there is no joy like realising that holding on to 'that' item has actually paid off and it once again becomes part of the A list in your wardrobe. This dress was bought during my first ever Toppers job and despite having hundreds of dresses like this, it's always been one I couldn't let go of. The cartoon-esque florals are like nothing I've really seen again making it a fabulously fun summer staple. Naomi kindly found me the most perfect shirt everrr to go underneath it - it's like the colours were made for each other in this combo? and the paisley is another heavy influence from HOH. 

With such a heavy pattern clash, I wanted to finish off with block colour pieces that still worked with the main colours in the dress. The duster and fur texture from the clutch add the right amount of Autumnal flavour to the outfit making it really wearable now and in the earlyish days of next Spring.
