Trend Inspo: Outerwear AW15

Oh it's that time of year again! Despite how many coats are in our collections already, we can never resist investing in a new one (or five) each Autumn and with so much to chose from, how can we not?! This year it is all about the textures with spring summer's suede jackets getting an update, thick aviators attracting attention and fur collars on just about everything!

We have each picked our favourite five from the high street - which is yours?

Amy

Can you tell it's all about the cosy-ness for me this autumn winter? With thick faux furs leading the way! I love the subtle polka dot print on the H&M number and the Topshop Animal Print is remarking similar to that Shrimps coat with a much nicer price tag! Panelling is also a great way to update your outerwear - why wear one texture when you can have atleast two like this M&S coat and Topshop Harrington Jacket!

I love a statement coat as they brighten up those grey winter days! Faux fur in bright colours and prints catch my eye from H&M and ASOS. Aswell as patent shiny macs, tassel capes and jacquard weaves. I love mixing textures together for AW especially with big chunky knits and suede. After all it's the best time of year for lot's of lovely layering!

Tinsel Town - Amy

H&M Grey Coat, Topshop Holly Jumper, H&M Stripe Shirt, Debenhams Faux Leather Skirt, Vintage Tartan Scarf, 'Fritha' Boots c/o Public Desire

Is it me, or is the build up to Christmas always more exciting than the day itself? My absolute favourite festive activity is to mooch around Christmas markets with friends, indulging in mulled wine and endless food most importantly wearing a good Christmas Jumper!

This was the chosen jumper (out of my vasttt collection, eek) for doing our first weekend of Christmas markets at Waddesdon Manor. I love the minimalist approach of this cream knit, with just a hint of sparkle with the gem berries. I chose to continue the festive theme and layered it with a 'candy cane' shirt and festive tartan but kept it wearable by finishing off with blacks and greys.

The 12th December was National Christmas Jumper Day and this always signals the real start of my obsessive knitwear wearing in the run up to the big day! Light-hearted and snuggly, what is not to love about them? How are you wearing your Christmas Jumper this year around? Check out some more of our ideas here at our latest Yahoo #GOTG post :)

All That Glitters - Amy

Primark Sequin Jumper, Topshop Sequin Blouse, Primark Tube Skirt, Topshop Glitter Ankle Socks, Topshop Artist Velvet Lace Up Boot

Mid autumn - dark mornings, dark evening, glitzy wardrobe. It's always this time of year where we start to see the festive sparkle start to hit the high street and what better than a sequin or two to lighten up your life

It is however getting colder so it seemed perfect to get my glitz out in the form of knitwear and layering. This bargain jumper from primarni is the perfect autumn item without feeling too festive too early and mixing this stunning sequin collar and cuff blouse with a knit makes it feel a lot less dressy

I matched the purple skirt with the colours of sequin on the jumper, the same with the blue in the shoes but the velvet adds that extra little bit of rich texture. I finished off with some little glittery ankle socks
