Another week of wonderful products and yet more temptation of the high street! Here's a few things on my want list this week.
1. Boohoo Molly Bardot Top, £8
I love the 'off the shoulder' style and 50's influence. These look great with high waisted shorts, trousers and skirts. Perfect for your summer wardrobe and still being on trend.
2. Nasty Gal Checkerboard Clutch Bag, $48
This oversized clutch with checkerboard design on it is bang on trend and a perfect everyday clutch to throw your essentials in and look fab. Checkerboard has made a big come back after the Louis Vuitton show and this clutch is a perfect accessory if you want to be on trend this season but not follow the fashion pack to closely. It's also over sized and slouchy which means more room for those extras- sunnies, umbrella, 5 lipsticks etc.....
3. Topshop Motel Print Tube Skirt, £28
With a new 50's trend for summer around the corner 'Palm Springs' means you can start digging out your headscarves, pointy shoes and American diner Esq pieces and be ahead of the game! I love a good tube skirt and find them really flattering and great for outfit building. There perfect to wear with bralets, or wear jumpers/tops over them with the skirt poking out the bottom. The motel print on this is perfect for heading into summer and will be great for layering up until the weather gets warmer.
4. NEW TREND ALERT: East Meets West
If you have been flicking through magazines recently you will no doubt started seeing oriental prints and influences coming through. Topshop have launched new trend East Meets West which is every girls oriental dream. If you like clashing print and being brave then head down to Oxford Circus and look as the stunning window-the styling is eclectic and a mismatch of oriental Esq patterns. Think kimonos, silky tees, wide leg printed trousers, statement jewellery and rucksacks. Take note of silk scarves being used around the waist to create a sash/belt- a very easy way of using scarves in a new way that's on trend for summer. Be brave with patterns but try and be clever matching the colours and adding matching socks and a statement necklace.
5. Topshop Arabel Studded Boots, £85
My Adonis cut out boots have served me well and had a hard life of night shifts and general abuse at work and now it's time for an update. These are very similar to the old Adonis style but slightly updated with a bigger cut out and studs. I wore mine to death and thinking these will be a perfect update as I can wear them through to summer with a little sock and skirt. I don't enjoy summer shoes and have to be careful what I wear for work so these will be my summer compromise!
6. Asos Sheer Stripe Sock, £4
I saw these socks online yesterday and fell in love. The sheer stripe makes them feel perfect for a sports luxe look or for a 50's diner outfit. They would look great popping out of a chunky black boot or with a pointy heel. Great for stepping into spring!
