Sports wear has a big influence in fashion and trends through sillhoutes, materials and fit. Leotards and crop tops all originally used for sportswear are now all over the high street. The best influence for me is 'runner shorts' whether your talking about leather, denim, silky, metallic or vintage. They add a sporty casual element to an outfit and always come back round every year in an updated 'Sports Luxe' trend, a definite staple piece in any girls wardrobe.
For this look I wore my new Miss Guided leather look runner shorts which were a bargain at £18. They look so much more expensive than that I am really pleased with them- great if your after a premium runner short. I teamed them with my new shirt from George At Asda which was also £18 (can you believe it!!) I love the eye print and had to have it after seeing it in Look magazine the other week. You can buy it online for a quick easy purchase! I thought for the price the fabric would be thin, but the fabric is really silky and the shape is long which makes it feel alot more expensive. The look is monochrome so I added a statement neon beanie to add to the sporty feel and beanies are great to finish of a look and my second home- black rucksack.
If your after some runner shorts then Miss Guided have alot to offer at very good prices. Also American Apparel for the famous runner shorts in all different colours in a jersey fabric. I find them to not be the most flattering style of shorts so it's best to go a size or two up in them so they look baggy and more sporty. If your looking for an easy runner short to add into your wardrobe then go for a black leather or denim pair like Amy's and add that 'sports cool' element to outfits!
